I recently moved from Orange County in SoCal and had been looking for a gym close to Plumas Lake. The Yuba Sutter location is only 15 minutes away and has everything I could need! First off, the gym is open 24/7 and has plenty of parking. The front desk team was immediately welcoming and offered me a tour. While I have been a gym rat for decades, a tour is always important to understand the layout and amenities, so I was happy the team understood the value of doing one. Training Zone has over four sections with cardio, strength, and stretching areas, in addition to a basketball court and three rooms dedicated to strength and cycle classes! They have a rooftop area which is critical for us over-heaters and a fantastic Kids' Zone which is included in the membership. Amenities seem endless, with locker rooms, showers, tanning, and bath rooms with sauna and steam rooms. The gym is fresh and clean, and has just the right amount of beast-mode vibes. Best of all, there is a Women's Zone! What a treat for us women who want to have a bit of a safe zone while lifting, bending, and stretching. Pricing is competitive with a membership costing $60/month. There are more layers here but overall I found the pricing to be fair given all that is included. All workers at this gym are awful, passive aggressive when you ask for solutions. You'd think they would be polite considering how much the memberships is which is 60$ for most member and 50$ if you do their check list such as referring a friend. I never see them do anything actual work besides just walk around and when you have an actual problem they act defensive and immediately raise their voice or just dismiss you completely with no solutions. Only reason I go here is because this is the closest gym in my area. The gym is fine but the workers are actual trash. If you're thinking of enrolling just don't unless you want to be treated unfairly and take about an hour to sign up for a membership. There was an error when we scanned and dulce stopped us so we can check in even though the day before we had already checked in and i told them that my god daughter was in town for a week so they told me that i can just let her in but never told me that i had to pay for her, Dulce was very rude/gave attitude when we were simply trying to tell her what they told us the day before. a sorry would have atleast helped!! read more

Great Gym. Loved it. Didn't give 5 stars due to being over charged. A friend and I joined on the same day a long time ago. Cancelled my membership last month due to them charging me extra every two weeks for almost a year without notifying me. When I finally caught the mistake and brought it up to their attention, they told me "yea we had raised our membership fees". Cool .......But at around the same time they told my friend that it was a computer glitch and he was reimbursed. So which is it? Glitch or fees were raised? I didn't call them out, instead I just asked for my membership to be cancelled. And they still got me for 3 more payments before finally cutting me off. Don't be like me, make sure to check your credit card statements for Training Zone automatic payment system. Other than that it was a very nice place to work out at. I was a member at the training zone for 6 months. I loved how friendly the staff were, loved how some knew me by my name and always greeted me. I was hooked on spin and would go as often as I could. Towards the end of my membership classes were being cancelled due to short staffed, lack of trainers. So because of that I didn't renew my membership. Eric has great energy while instructing spin! I love this gym been coming here for 2 years no problem ever I go every morning and today I was hitting a leg machine and I was not slamming the weight but it the plates were hitting together on the way down and I was met with "the owner" coming at me extremely rude yelling I can hear you from 50 feet away witch it was only me and him so obviously your gonna hear me and I told him I'm doing a leg workout and it's just the metal clinging and he proceeds too say "go push some real weight squatting downstairs" then when I showed him that it's just the machine making that noise he was too stubborn too say sorry and just walked away pissed off I don't think he owns the gym at all I think it was some random but if it is the owner very very unprofessional dissing on 2 kids and not even apologizing after me proving him wrong he came at us super rude if you want you can look at the cameras I'm sure it's all there but never thought I'd be treated like that by an "owner of the gym" that sounded like some meat head having a bad morning and taking it out on the only people in the room he was threatening too drop our membership also betting me a year memebership too me and a minor that it was 50 feet from me too where he was standing that is super unprofessional betting a membership In a argument and betting with a minor I'm pretty sure is illegal do better read more

This is a solid gym with everything you need. A wide range of equipment. Various types of fitness classes including a crossfit type, zumba, body pump and others. I have had a great personal training experience with two different trainers here. The layout is a little confusing with so many different rooms and it's not the most modern, bright, inviting space around but it's Marysville so you have to modify your expectations. The music is consistently schizophrenic and horrible, alternating between sleepy time tea and tired 80s white boy rock. Work out music needs to fall somewhere between 80s freestyle to BPM, 90s deep house or circuit party club remixes. Not fucking Van Halen. wtf! There's also tanning and everyone follows covid protocol for a safe work out. The best thing about this gym is the super staff and clients. All ages and body types, no attitude, very friendly. These people are really nice when you sign up. But they're very rude when you cancel. At the time of cancellation they did not try to save my business. All they could do was tell me they didn't know if my credit card would be charged for another month. So of course this pissed me off. I immediately left and cancelled my credit card. It is one button to cancel a credit card and remove it off of an account. As a business owner I'm very familiar with how this works. So to tell me that it might charge my credit card , that is failure to do good business. And in conclusion if you're not willing to try to save my business with you, then you don't deserve my business. You should always always always find out why your customer is canceling and try to save it. I hope you find this review as helpful to keep happy customers. I know your clients that you have are extremely happy with you and so was I but now I find you guys failed extremely to keep me happy and if that doesn't matter to you then please discard and don't care about this review. If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. As a new customer wanting to try this gym, I asked for a free trial because I knew they offered a free 3-day trial. When I came back for my second trial day, I had a very unpleasant encounter with the sales manager, Krystal. Krystal was very unprofessional and rude as she denied me my second and third day UNLESS I signed up for membership that day. With a rude demeanor, she said, "Only if you're serious about signing up, I'll give you the free 3-day trial." I stated I was serious and wanted to finish my 3-day trial. She continued to be rude so I asked to speak to someone above her but she mentioned, "There is no one above me." Soon thereafter, a counter manager approached the front desk so I addressed him instead because Krystal just walked off. As she walked off, I asked her for her name but she just continued walking. The counter manager gave me her name - Krystal. The counter manager said he would pass the message along to the owner because "the owner is the only personal above Krystal." It's been a month and a half and I have yet to hear back from anyone from Training Zone. As a General Manager in sales for many large corporations, I've never encountered such poor customer service. Clearly, I only wanted to try the gym so I can sign up my family of 5. I would hate to give my business to someone who doesn't appreciate my business. This place is a joke. I was really surprised at how much this gym had to offer. Training zone (formerly pro fitness) has so many programs besides lifting weights to help you get into the right shape. I was also amazed at how the Old Rugbys club next door is now part of the gym. Two floors full of many different workout programs are available here. The first floor includes free weights, indoor basketball court, extreme training, and a rockwall. Something else I liked was that if you have kids, there are two rooms with toys and movies with attendants who watch your little ones while you work out. The second floor has cybex and other various workout machines, suana rooms, womens only workout area, 15x30 ft martial arts area. Great gym! Been going for 2 years. I attend the morning classes and the instructors are very nice and challenge you. The daycare staff is so nice, almost like family. I like the layout of the gym and the classes they offer. I have never had an issue with staff or management. As a matter of fact, the owner teaches on Saturday and is a very friendly guy. Gym has lots of equipment and it's all maintained really well. I do wish the daycare were a bit more organized, maybe use up all the room sections they have available and they could use some newer toys. Other than that, it's a wonderful place and highly recommend it. Update June 2018: Wow, this place has been through so many changes this past year and I'm loving it! They have remodeled, brought in new equipment and added more classes. This place always makes me feel welcomed and appreciated. I love this gym! New to the area and wanted to find a gym that I could feel comfortable in. I train 5-6 days a week so I spend a lot of time here. They have a ton of equipment to offer as well as classes. The are many different areas of the gym so it never seems crowded either. I recently moved to Cali and found this gym. Very excited to continue to come here! I decided to try a personal trainer to help me out and they were outstanding. My biggest fear is being judged at the gym and I definitely didn't feel judged by the trainers. They were funny and just all around great people to have help me. I've been going to this gym because it's closer to my house. Parking sucks and you have to wait for equipment. People don't wipe after use. I wanted to add my son to my membership had a lady help me she seem rude. She didn't go over the terms and how much it would cost. It was 20 dollars more on top of my membership which I knew. They wanted me to pay the 20 although there's only 10 more days left in this month and would charge me again on the first of the month. Wouldn't they pro rate that? Worst experience ever. Don't care about anything but charging the hell out of your credit card. They push you all the way to make you pay extras on personal training and they claim they give you a free session, but it's only a 10 minute whatever that was. Ridiculous! Wouldn't even let me cancel my membership without charging me a huge amount for no reason at all. They blamed it on a "third party company" like if they can't do anything about it. This gym is a JOKE. Worst experience ever. Not even planet fitness has all these random Tried to get a refund now with covid and I still got charged double without a break. Insane! Not recommended. You are way better off training from your own home instead of getting robbed by these CROOKS. As a business owner I'm very famiiiar with how this works and I know for sure that they could always cancel and refund the money instead of washing their hands and blaming it on their own payment company. Would be nice to talk with someone above these Kids so called managers and see if they can really do something to help me out. Since no one else knows **** when it comes to helping a customer out. Do not sign up for prepaid annual membership. If you move or have a serious injury and cannot use the gym for awhile they will not refund your prepaid fees. I am out over $300. Paying monthly you pay the fee but at least you can cut off monthly payments and minimize loss. The other big problem I have is that they don't have enough of the popular machines and it is often down with people unable to use it. There are also lines for this equipment during busy times. To offer all they do and handle the crowd, they need a bigger space. read more

My husband and I recently moved to Olivehurst and we both really like this gym. The staff is great and the facility is well equipped. I just have one or two things to whine about and that's the schedule online is chronically outdated and I wish they had more yoga classes. I'm still giving them five stars though because unlike the Bay Area gyms we belonged to in the past, the staff here is friendly and helpful, the machines are all up and running and the place is CLEAN. Like many gyms, the crowd is mostly young, but there are some middle aged and seniors. They seem to cater to all age groups. We are in our 50's and feel quite comfortable here and get a good workout every time we come. My husband has no complaints whatsoever as he doesn't care for group exercise and the Training Zone has more than enough treadmills, weights, and bicycles to keep him happy. read more

Training Zone has a smorgasbord of fitness options and its almost overwhelming at times. But the good thing is there is not excuse for getting board. The gym has peak busy hours (during exercise class/crossfit times) as people have mentioned in previous reviews. If you don't like a lot of people at the gym go later in the evening or get yourself up earlier. I like training zone because of the variety of equipment and overall workout areas (ex.woman's work out zone, and heart zone that overlooks the basketball court/cross fit areas). The front desk staff have always been courteous, professional, and welcoming. I applaud the gym for putting in a childcare section. I know many people with small children appreciate that feature because it motivates them in getting themselves to the gym and on the right track to becoming more healthy. read more

While working this morning, I felt the need to provide an update to my original post. I don't think I can say enough about the personal trainers. Everyone of them from Lisa to Adam, Sabrina and Sarah, and especially Amber; are awesome! They are not concerned about where you are physically when you start their program, but are more concerned about getting you where you want to be. There is no judgment, and they truly care about teaching you the right way to exercise. Although they are all very fit, they do not flaunt it like some of the 'meatheads' (thanks Urban Dictionary) or 'stuck up' instructors that you have probably encountered at other gym's. Try it for a month; you will not be disappointed. Make sure to try Ambers classes. She is one of the main reasons that keep me coming back. Keep it up guys! read more

Training zone is as close to a good gym as this area can offer. Open 24 hours, tanning, classes, cardio equipment, good lifting stuff (including two power lifting platforms!), it pretty much has whatever you need. The price is also reasonable and they have a solid selection of merch and snacks for sale. The staff is friendly and the trainers are really nice actually. This was the first time I had a trainer with whom I felt really comfortable (Ask for Vicky if you can she was the best!). The only con is the layout is a little strange and confusing and they have so many things packed in that it's a bit of a smörgåsbord of fitness. Karate, rock climbing, spinning, basketball, crossfit, cardio, women's only room, ab room, and lifting; all tucked away in their strange labyrinth of a building. I would definitely recommend this place though. No doubt, the best in the area! read more

I just love my CrossFit family at Feather River CrossFit. They are so encouraging to each other and that has a lot to do with the staff. The instructors are always working with you to do your best. Sarah is pretty much always my instructor, she is amazing so helpful and always looking out for us. She always has a beautiful smile on her face, even when she is putting us though a painful workout. The staff set this gym apart. I went in to look around and I took tour. The staff were very knowledgeable and really listened to what I was looking for in a gym. They showed me ways I could use the gym for my personal program and all the different classes that you can join. The price is great. They even have tanning which is really convenient. If you are looking for a friendly place to work out with really helpful staff this is the place. OH....and they have a workout room that is for Women only. You can workout without any men if you too.
