Well equipped gym with nice staff. I have been going here since late 2021. For the first two-ish years, my barcode that I was given to scan myself into the gym was actually not registered with my account. During unstaffed hours, the code reader would most of the time not let me in. Since the barcode wasn't hooked up with an account, if I scanned a banana enough times I probably could have entered haha. I also could not log in through the old app to my account. About a year and a half ago, a new hire (at the time) and I figured out that my account was not established to a point where I could come in and out of the gym without someone else letting me in. I'm grateful the issue was an easy resolution, I hope anyone who let me in didn't get penalized. The AC system was updated recently, before it was incredibly hot inside in the summer. Currently it is still incredibly hot inside. I have heard that the gym's temp is based off of what the side room for classes is at. Even if it's closed and a class is in progress. I could have heard wrong. The AC thermometer is under one of the two fans in the weight room and displays 74° currently. It is absolutely hotter away from the wind. I'd recommend going to the gym before 12am to avoid the heat. They use a new fitness app that is actually very good. Loads fast, lots of features. I said earlier that the gym has nice staff. I have been getting workout advice and having general conversations with a bunch of the employees here since I began lifting. The community here is noticeable and you can have a convo with almost anyone. If you want to be social, come in the mornings/evenings. If you want to be more to yourself, come during noon. All in all, it's a nice gym, just freakin hot and it makes me get gassed too fast compared to other gyms. read more

This gym is a great option for a very specific demographic. The classes available are really not meant for people with typical working hours. The equipment is great, people are friendly and there's a great vibe BUT there's not a lot of space so if you want to workout before work in the morning or after work in the evenings, it's absolutely packed and hard to get access to space to use weights. I bet it's better midday but I rarely was able to go during the day. I ended up leaving the gym and just working out at home. I find myself working out way more often because I'm not overwhelmed by the idea of having to drive somewhere to fight for space at the gym. I bought some hand weights and use FitOn workouts at home. Works for me! Nothing particularly negative other than it just didn't work for me. I think more class options at better times would be so helpful. Cons: Expensive, considering there is no locker room; just a few stalls for showers & toilets & changing. Lockers are in a public area. There is not a culture of rotating in on a given machine. Pros: accessible after hours with your bar code. Large place with lots of equipment, especially cardio & machines, as well as free weights. Also classes in side room. The gym is clean, and it's a decent place to work out at during off hours. Busy hours are crazy busy and most of the gym is closed off for classes making it even more crowded. What makes this just a normal experience to a bad one is trying to cancel your membership. My year ended and my last payment was in December, in October I let them know I wasn't going to be able to continue. In January they still charged me and when I asked why they said I needed to give them 30 days WRITTEN notice, which they didn't tell me in October. I email who they tell me to email and they were supposed to get back to me, but they never did. When I didn't get confirmation, I complained, they offered to have the manager call me, he never called. It's funny how fast they will respond to a yelp review though. I then put a stop payment on my account. Which is lucky, because they have been trying to charge me every month since. I get maybe 2 phone calls a week and emails saying I have late charges now and I need to correct my payments with them. read more

Review update: I've been going to CAC for over 6 months now and for me its been life changing. I'm down over 40lbs 255 to 214 as of this review. Initially I was just looking for a low cost, non threatening atmosphere to lose the weight, but what I've received instead is literally a reprogramming of my mind and body. I was originally going to use a personal trainer for only a month to become familiar with the equipment, but have decided to keep using a trainer for the duration of my weight goal and will most likely continue going forward. Art (the owner), has built a really good business here that's clearly focused on his clients. He has put together an awesome team in here. CACFIT checks all the boxes - inexpensive - awesome staff and trainers - clean - updated and clean equipment - good positive atmosphere and vibes For me personally, the staff and more specifically Brad Parker (my trainer) are why I come here. I'm 100% positive without Brad I would not be where I'm at now and I'm not just talking about the weight. I think anyone can show you how to use a machine, but Brad genuinely cares about your long term success and that's huge. I really do think CAC is the best option in town, if I didn't I wouldn't take the time to write this. Invest in yourself, LISTEN to the trainers not your friends and don't follow the fads. I've been a member for more than 5 years. Good, convenient gym. Recent remodel with new equipment. Staff gets an A+ for friendliness and for keeping the place super clean. PLENTY of cardio machines. The reason this isn't a five star review is for their pricing. Sure, they offer a membership for $16.95 per month, which gets you access during "staffed hours". The problem is that the staffed hours change at random, sometimes even cancelling whole days on the weekends. (Due to staffing problems??) Which means you don't get to workout. I suppose it's their way to get you to upgrade to $48.95 per month. read more

Small but cozy. Have great machine options despite this! Love that they got a new hip thrust machine and they have other new ones so I'd prefer this gym over some bigger ones closer to me. Went in today (Sunday) to use the classroom for yoga and dancing. It was closed for a private event. Wow. Seriously? I wasn't able to get my workout in and it was very upsetting. Yesterday when I went in, I wasn't greeted and the bathrooms weren't upkept. Going to be trying a free trial at Anytime Fitness. Really wish Planet Fitness was out here for a better 24 hour option. read more

(The membership cost and fees) Do not be fooled people if you are even one day late they charge you a 23.50 "service charge" which is just a bullshit charge to strike more money out of you. I paid my fees 5 days later only to find out they keep loan shark "service charging" you until its paid up. Whenever I'm in the area visiting family/friends and need a gym to get my sweat on, I always come to CAC fit. I've been to some other gyms in town but I always find myself coming back to CAC. They have affordable day and weekly passes that I use all the time when I'm here. You'll find that they have all the same workout machines and equipment that a typical commercial gym has AND 3 different racks you can squat at so you're less likely to be sitting around and waiting for a rack to open up on a Wednesday evening when it's leg day rush hour haha Jokes aside, the staff is friendly, the gym is clean, and the atmosphere is always great...what more could you ask for! read more

Wonderful remodel!!! Monthly commitment choices make it affordable or as comprehensive as you want which is a nice. Mo Merritt has been my trainer for four months now and I love it! I am an older person and she is very conscientious about protecting my knees, shoulders, and educates me on how my body works, what progression of exercises is best, and is also makes it very fun! The members are super nice and supportive of my health journey. I highly recommend this gym. read more

Great gym! The owner & staff are kind & truly care. I've had a membership for 4+ years now. My mom & grandma are members as well. And you can bring a guest for free if you have that level membership. We also had a membership at the racquet club. During covid CACFit allowed members to put our membership on hold- we continued paying anyways because they are so kind. The racquet club basically told us you are in a contract & have to keep paying. We weren't in a contract so we cancelled. CACFit is upfront with their membership costs, affordable, incredible staff & service. The only downfall is I use the stair mill & they only have 2 ( one is broken often leaving with 1) & need another one. They still get 5 stars though because every time a survey is sent out & I respond I hear back from the owner personally. It really is a great environment at a great price! read more

I've been to a variety of group class with different training styles and they are my favorite. Great group of people and a fun place to go and workout

I joined CAC Fit on Bell Road a few months ago after being at another gym for years. My sons also are members and love it. I no longer need child care, so this is the perfect gym for my family. There are several member card scanning readers on the front desk, so you don't have to wait in line to say your member number to an employee when you walk in. This gym is super clean and smells nice (odd for a gym, right?). It has separate/individual bathrooms, shower rooms, and changing rooms. I started off with a group fitness level membership but bumped it up to include team fit when the schedule for those gatherings work better for me. You can't beat the price! I really enjoy the personable group and team fitness instructors! They offer ideas for modifications, correct our technique if needed for safety, encourage us to meet our goals, and challenge us with new exercises, moves, and routines on a regular basis. I've taken a few classes but not tried them all yet. From what I've seen, there are a wide range of ages and fitness levels of members in the classes. There's also a mix of genders. You will fit right in! There are a variety of great instructors who lead the whole-body Power Hour to kick start your weekend on Saturday mornings. Danielle leads the fun Raise the Bar class. Kelly has restarted a fast-paced cardio kickboxing class. Catherine makes everyone feel like natural dancers in the Zumba class. Donna helps you relieve stress in a fun way with Drum Fit. We tried it for the three day trial period, and we loved it enough to switch gyms. Be brave and try it! read more

The facility is ok. Very small and overcrowded. Even during off peak hours you will constantly find yourself waiting for a machine. For the price of a membership here this is expected and tolerable. What is not acceptable is how rude the staff is. They treat you like a criminal every time you check in. I have been a member for almost 3 years. I never had an actual conversation with an employee (except for the brand new guy Mylon, he's super cool and chill dude who knows my name and we talk alm every time I go in). The rest of the male employees are jerks. The only time they even talk to me is when they accuse me of trying to sneak a guest in. Said guest is my teenage son who has his own member and works out at this gym 5-6 days a week. He goes with out me all the time and yet the employees harass us frequently accusing us of trying to sneak him in as an unregistered guest. This is a small gym in a small town. You'd think showing up 5 days a week for 7 months straight and the staff would realize who their members are. read more

The gym has a great atmosphere and most the staff were super helpful and nice however Morgan I think the name is the lady with the brown hair, when being there and interacting was extremely rude and made it seem like a hassle when asking for help. My wife has tried multiple times to cancel her membership due to the covid 19 outbreak. Basically they won't let her do it despite the pandemic ruthless business practices do not recommend. She had to change her credit card and now probably end up in collections despite numerous attempts to quit. This is for a future membership that cannot be used. I've been a member for a Month now. The staff is friendly and welcoming every time I come through the door. I have to say the facility is VERY CLEAN... don't listen to other reviews. It is a gym... occasionally things will get dirty or sweaty... but I ALWAYS see staff wiping down equipment... literally every time I am there. AND, if we are doing our part as members, we are wiping down our used equipment as well. Totally affordable even with the $40 startup fee and $40 annual fee. Much more affordable than other gyms in the area. Yes, there are busy times, but that is any gym (just like a you know a restaurant will be busy at lunch, duh!) Thank you CAC fit! Just OK. Pros: -Cheap monthly rate of $9.99. -Clean and nice quality equipment. Cons: -Lots of "extra" fees. In addition to the $9.99 / month, there is a $40 sign-on fee and another $40 annual fee. -I've worked out once. 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. It was hectic. Lots of waiting to access equipment. The bench press benches were never available. When it was time for me to work the pull-up bars they were having a class over there. -I prefer working out without music. Maintain a neutral environment. Folks bring earbuds if they want to listen to music. It's a fine gym, but could improve by cutting the addition fees and adding equipment for the heavy part of the day. read more

I love this gym. I moved to the area 8 years ago and the first thing I did was join this gym. Everyone who works here is welcoming and friendly. There is a variety of equipment and classes. I've had a Team Training membership and attend classes 3 times a week as well as work out on my own a couple days. I like the variety offered in class. The trainers encourage you to work to your fullest ability. Junior is my favorite trainer. He's patient and has a good sense of humor. Well worth the money. read more
