I bought a new house. It was an older one in Suncity, they said they couldn't insure it do to age of 1967 structure. now my insurance being jacked up almost $60 a month which is $720 more a year. In June 2022 we had a small leak and called for guidance. They recommended Cummings Plumbing or Coronado Plumbing. See reviews on Cummings Plumbing and Steamy Concepts. Told us if filed claim Travelers insurance very good and we would only end up paying out $1,000 deductible. Once Cummings Plumbing then Steamy Concepts came out a claim was filed. Do you think we heard from Berwick Himes. No and we did not hear from Travelers Insurance other than a text they had a claim number assigned. No one came out, followed up, showed any compassion not gave any guidance what so ever. We ended up at mercy of these companies who only care about getting as much money as they possibly can. Emailed again and finally got Travelers Insurance Ryan Pugh. The worst customer service ever received. He did not come out for a month and when did was informed would not pay for over $3,000 of damages. Do you think Stacy Himes or anyone helped? No did not return email(s) or phone call when informed them. No help in any way but perfectly happy to collect our premiums for over 10 years. Still to date no email, no call but were nice enough to send us a renewal notice. You would think an insurance agent would be there for you but not Berwick Himes Insurance.

We reported damage to agent with pictures and got response we had over $8 million coverage so no problem just report to insurance company. We did adjuster came out, we got 3 estimates and damage estimated at just under $40,000. Then we hear that we only have coverage for 5,000. Contasted everybody several times. Our agent had owned a unit here so knew our structures and coverage we needed. We naively expected agent/agency to take responsibility for the major under coverage. Last call with owner of agency put it all on us. She basically said we should have read and understood a 188 page insurance document. I was under the impression that's the reason you go thru an agency for their knowledge. To top it off we received estimates for all our carport structures, which came in at $300,000. We would have ended up paying yearly $300 for the correct coverage. Anybody doubt that we would have chosen to do so. Unfortunately you don't know how good you agent is till you make a claim.
