Tramway scared the crap out of me when they first opened with insanely low prices a few years ago. You see, the numbers 168 are considered lucky in Chinese which is why Tramway opened with their prices as such. While I won't be the one to turn down cheap food, I had my qualms about it. Unlimited Chinese food for just P168 pesos? You have got to be kidding me. I had to check it out myself.
Sweet and Sour Pork. Check. Birthday Noodles. Check. Yang Chow Fried Rick. Check. Siomai. Check. Buchi. Check. These items are but a fourth of what they serve on the buffet spread. Luckily, there were no signs of uncooked chicken, or skimping on noodle toppings. I was impressed, and blown away.
I am happy to know that Tramway has maintained their level of quality for Chinese food. While nothing exceptional, you really get what you deserve for the price. While they longer keep their prices at 168 pesos, anything lower than 200 pesos for an unlimited Chinese buffet is a steal. read more
