I had procrastinated far too long knowing my delay was only contributing to my dental issues. One day I happened to receive an oversized postcard advertising this dental practice located in Hollister Ca. The emphasis was on the office philosophy which stated clearly that no judgment was ever made on the patients current condition . Acknowledgment of how many of us feel having delayed treatment ( embarrassment & shame ) and emphasized they were only concerned with identifying the solution and assisting the patient with obtaining the best possible treatment to address all ongoing dental needs. Intrigued I called and was immediately impressed with the prompt response to my inquiry and I obtained an appointment which was a no charge assessment and a detailed treatment plan with the recommended course of action. The staff was positive and reassuring and Dr. Rauch was simply wonderful. Having introduced himself he quickly realized that I was pretty vulnerable and apologetic for having let my dental needs becoming so desperate. He was quick to reassure me and state that what mattered most at this moment was to move forward and focus on the solution. He was encouraging, supportive and obviously sincere. I was convinced this was my new Dentist and am here now to encourage anyone who has been delaying or procrastinating to obtain dental care this is the Dentist for you. She was going to require two root canals and crowns urgently. With scary stories being told, I was charged $700 twice for sedation for my wife, which I had to administer to her and monitor her for. All they did was call in the prescription for a $6 pill. Sure, that's worth $1400. Then came the root canals and temporary crowns. The temporary crowns weren't very good, which I was willing to overlook because they're temporary, BUT the permanents weren't any better. $1200 later (after insurance), which I had to finance with interest, the work was done. Uh oh, turns out the dentist lost his practice for fraudulently doing root canals and crowns that weren't needed. Did I get my money back for that fraud? I did not. Enter the new dentist at this location. He did new x-rays and told my wife there was nothing wrong with her teeth, and the half dozen fillings she was told by the previous doctor she would need weren't actually needed. When one of the unnecessary crowns came off months later, they put on a new one at no charge. Can we say "least they could do"? A couple of months after getting the first unnecessary crown replaced, the second one broke. Just fell apart. But guess what, the new dentist quit, and now the office has a temporary dentist who is only available two days a week. So, I had to find a new dentist and pay to have the second broken crown repaired. Want to know what they found under it? Decay. The second root canal was done poorly. Did I mention it wasn't even needed in the first place? Seriously considering getting my attorney involved and suing this office to recover the enormous amount of cost they've literally stolen from me and then some. Don't come here. They will lie, steal, and change dentists on you all along the way.
