the actual massage was enjoyable, but the customer service was poor. the masseuse was perfectly nice, however we arrived for our scheduled time (called over a week in advance) and were told to wait an hour. At times they answered their phone during the service. They seemed understaffed. (I dont mind the chatting at all, but it definitely threw off the flow as she would sometimes stop to type a message or answer a call, which made it feel kinda slapdash) If you have long, thick, or curly hair definitely bring a scrunchie or hair tie, my hair was getting in the way and I had to help her get it as contained as we could within the plastic cap. (not the masseuse's fault, just something to keep in mind if you're considering going.) I was surprised when the 60 minute massage included hot stones, hot towel rub down, stretching, and a little bit of scalp massage. (all things i enjoyed, some may not though, especially the stretching as for some who may have mobility issues it would likely be quite intense and possibly painful, so i will note we did not ask for that it was included.) They gave plenty of very firm pressure, and were attentive to checking if it was ok. All supplies were not in the room, I imagine whatever they use to heat the stones/towels stays somewhere else because they were a bit in and out to get things. I'll note that while not visible from the waiting area, the door was ajar at times which may make some uncomfortable. the room was comfortable and clean, no perfumes or incense that may irritate those who are sensitive. they kept it in low light during prep and even darker during the service, which I enjoyed. The temperature was perfect, the only time i was chilly was right after the hot stones and towels, but then I was under the sheet and it was perfect again. Both ladies that were there spoke limited English, which isn't a problem for me but if you have any issues regarding communication that may make this experience challenging. I don't mind most of the cons too much. (the hour delay was frustrating, but i imagine this can be mostly dealt with if you called much sooner to when you wanted to come and asked for a time.) If you want a super luxury experience this wont be for you, but I don't mind just getting in there and getting the job done. If i go to a spa again they'll be considered for certain. read more

Let me tell you a story about the perfect massage. This is not a large corporate spa. They don't care who your emergency contact is or if you have any preexisting conditions. You walk in, strip and lay down, no questions asked. A woman comes in and sets her timer. While you have a towel over you she starts rubbing your back, after she adequately warms you up she peels the towel back and oils her hands (I hate oil but trust me on this, let her do her thing) then she proceeds to give you the strongest, most powerful massage ever! You can ask her to rub lighter but I like it rough. Then she disappears, moments later she appears with hot stones, I melt. She manages to find all my knots and rubs them away. Once she's done with the stones she brings the hot towel to rub the oil off. Ugh, so good! Icing on the cake, IT'S ONLY $50. I tip $20. cause she is worth it. This was the best experience! But if you decide to go, please SHOWER & SHAVE FIRST!!! They deserve to be treated with the same respect you do. read more

This place is a gem! I got the 60 minute deep tissue massage because I've been very sore and needed some loosening up. The therapist did exactly what I needed and more! She occasionally asked if the pressure was to my liking and accommodated when she got to my ticklish spots. Note: she finishes off with scalp and face massages (the last 10-ish minutes) so let her know if you'd rather opt out and focus on the body massage. I paid $65 ($50 (I think they changed the prices?) for the massage and the rest in tip) and it was worth every penny. Please tip these ladies well. They deserve it! Hands down the deepest and one of the best massages (I chose the $55 an hour acupressure option) I have ever gotten, and I am an athlete who travels around the country getting massages from some highly regarded people in bodywork. For those of you looking for a salon experience, go elsewhere or do your research on Eastern massage. A traditional THERAPEUTIC massage is meant to put you to sleep no more than having your teeth cleaned should put you to sleep...if you want to leave with clean teeth. If I fell asleep during a massage, frankly I'd want my money back. I disagree with the reviewer who said she neither was educated in massage nor gifted. A little probing reveals she was actually a doctor in China. To that end, I was more relaxed AFTER the massage than I wanted being that I had driveb over. Any criticism I could have (methodical vs. intuitive), etc I can easily chalk up to culture. At $55 I will be back for sure as often as I can afford which is nearly 2x a month more than my Russian masseuse miles away. read more

Been here twice for services. The first time for a foot massage and the second for an hour an a half full body massage. Let's say the 1st time was the best of the two. I found myself adrift and quickly entering the REM phase of sleep as my little footsies were rubbed and released of the daily tension of walking or jogging can put on the carriers of the whole body. Not only were my feet massaged but they also massaged my calves which was also much needed. For the foot reflexology, I give Tranquil 4 stars. However, all good reviews must sometimes receive 2 stars, Meh, for the not so enjoyable 1 1/2 hour full body massage. The one thing about one who has had many massages over the years is I can tell when someone has gone to massage school and learned the mirad of massaging techniques or one who just has gifted hands that no formal education can teach. Well, the massage therapist that I had had neither. She was too rough even when I advised that I liked light to medium pressure and she just seemed all over the place not connecting or focusing on any specific areas to relieve the knots and tension in my back and shoulders. The mere fact that I did not dose off or fall asleep to the point of awakening myself with a volume 4 snore was evident this was not a good massage. This is a pay 1st then get your service type of place & cash only. The attendants and person at the front were very friendly however there was a language barrier that they only spoke and comprehended basic English so you must be mindful when communicating. But I feel didn't affect the total experience at all. Overall average of 3 stars, given the 2 services. I would return for a foot massage here only. read more

Let's just start with They we're open at 8:30 pm when my neck was killing me. I didn't have to wait to get some relief. I didn't even have to make an appointment, I was a walk in. The massage was good. I did a half hour for $30. I was kind of cracking up during my massage as my masseuse was talking loudly over the wall to another one in Chinese almost the whole time. Did I care? No! I was in pain and she was working the knots out. Again, they were OPEN. I will go back again. I've always preferred a no nonsense massage experience, meaning I just want to get in and out and not deal with candles and choosing scented oils, etc. I've even done the odd chair massage in parking lots or malls. If you want results, this is a good place. If you want pampering, maybe keep looking. read more

That means you may have to wait for the client before you to finish so manage your expectations. You can't beat the price. This is a hidden gem! Been about 4 times now and I've enjoyed every minute here! One full body 60min massage and 3 foot reflexology sessions. My mom and 94yo grandfather started going regularly too. The massage therapists are very kind, friendly, accommodating and professional. I used to be a member at a monthly place and recently cancelled because the times spent here are phenomenal. Each massage is backed with hands that clearly know anatomy, nerves and how to decompress the spine. I like very firm pressure and they don't hold back. It's a no nonsense blissful experience. I am happy to skip the fluffy white robes and a long chat about my bodies "problem areas" and just get on the table, hear them set the timer and go! My mom likes it much lighter and they accommodate her perfectly well too. Bottom line the prices are unbeatable and I have yet to find a massage that compares. Bonus if you call in advance, I think they can accommodate group appointments. There's a nail salon next door which makes for a fun Saturday with friends and family. read more
