Ok so I bought a 60 minute Swedish massage with aromatherapy on Livingsocial for $25 ($55 value). Of course I was a little bit skeptical because that is a steal! Well I went to book and they are so popular I had to wait about 6 weeks for a time that worked for my schedule. I showed up not expecting much and honestly I would've been content with mediocrity for $25. All I can say is what a pleasant surprise! To be transparent, you are not going to walk into a lavish and lush room full of velvet blankets and luxury furnishings. Think doctors officeish. But honestly if you're that alert and present that you are paying attention to the decor then you probably aren't getting a good massage. The lighting and music were relaxing. The place was super clean. That's enough for me! Annette is so kind and friendly. She was super professional from start to finish and made sure to pay extra attention to my trouble areas. She used the perfect amount of pressure and within ten minutes I went from a mind full of work thoughts to a state of euphoria. I seriously don't know if I fell asleep or if I just got to a crazy level of relaxation. She definitely gave me a full 60 mins and didn't cut corners. I was grateful and thanked her at the end telling her how great she was. Her response was she loves her job. And honestly I believe her. She has passion and truly cares. I have gotten massages at chains for $80, I've gotten $150 massages at very upscale and reputable places in major cities but none of them compared to Annette's. read more

Like the other review, I purchased the groupon due the proximity of where I lived. The booking process was quite simple, as Annette has it set up online. Her place is located inside a business complex, so it can be tricky to find, but it's in the front of the building and there's a little sign. As for the massage, one word sums it up, amazing! Annette listens to where your trouble spots are, takes a genuine interest in what you are looking to get done and does an amazing job. Her lotion is her own blend, and opens up your senses as she goes (and the smell doesn't linger after you walk out). She has amazingly soft hands and just that perfect touch that you're looking for in a massage. She is definitely worth the trip and I cannot wait to book my next massage with her! read more

I'm glad I found out about this place! Like many others I'd purchased a Groupon for a massage. I was able to schedule online with no issues. When I arrived Annette greeted me in the lobby and gave me some paperwork. We talked about my expectations for the visit and in no time we started my massage. She's located in an office building but you can't really tell after she turns down the lights and starts playing the soothing music. From the moment she started I was immediately at ease and relaxed. She checked to make sure the pressure was okay and that I was comfortable and the rest was pure bliss and relaxation. It was definitely the full 60 minutes and I feel that she absolutely gives you your money's worth. It was one of the best massages I've received! At the end I felt so refreshed! She offers instant gift cards so if you purchase 2 or more one hour sessions the price drops $10! And her prices are very reasonable! I purchased a Groupon last week for a 90 minute Swedish massage, I really am in dire need. Note: the Groupon purchased expires 180 days after purchase. Upon visiting the website to schedule my appointment (online scheduling is very nice and easy to use) and found the next available appointment, Groupon or not, to be in MID JANUARY. The Groupon expiration date needs to be pushed back or the Groupon needs to be removed. I tried to call in to see if something can be done, but I didn't receive a reply. I was extremely disappointed but, luckily, was able to get a full refund by Groupon since I requested the refund within 3 days of purchase. I hope this is an honest mistake otherwise, that's just terrible business practice. I was very excited given all the great Yelp reviews regarding Annette's work but, the Groupon and online schedule don't lie. Hopefully things can be fixed and I can update this review! read more

I was completely impressed by my experience at Tranquility Point. After booking a Living Social introductory deal, I had to wait a pretty long time for my appointment (you book online and Annette is booked solid, good sign!) The office space is clean and inviting. Her particular massage room is beautiful. Clean, nicely appointed with two heated massage tables. Annette was the consumate professional, doing a quick intake discussion and making sure she understood my preferred pressure and areas to work on. I had an hour long aromatherapy massage and honestly, it was one of the best massages I have had in my life, and I do this often. While the Livingsocial deal was only for first time customers, her hourly rate is $35 when you book 2 or more in advance. SUCH a steal and she's 100 times better than the folks i have had at Massage Envy. I will be back for sure! read more

Stay away from this place. It is a one man operation and Annette has zero customer service skills! Bought a groupon and you better make an appointment now in January 2020 If you want her to see you in the fall. I literally asked her if there was a possibility to be seen sooner that I had been going through a rough couple of days and I wanted to lift my spirits and she couldn't care less, empathy NONE. She just kept asking for the voucher which is ODD for services that are 6 months later, (erm NO) and when I kindly inquired about it she started talking about being scammed before and how she is cancelling the appointment all together. Well there goes my attempt to lift my spirits, dealing with an unprofessional business owner. She'll see word spreads around fast and the groupon hype would be over after the many customers complaints. And I have all the email receipts, I might copy paste later. I purchased a 90-min massage through Groupon. Scheduling was super easy since it's online. However the time availability was limited, so plan ahead. You may not have a spot for over a month. I bought mine in June, and finally have the chance to get my massage on this weekend. The location has moved to Charlotte Park, which is a business park at the corner of S. Tryon & Billy Graham. Yes, it's a little odd for a massage studio but I personally don't mind if the service is good and the price is right. I arrived just before my 2:30pm appointment on Saturday. And because it's an office building, it's on lock-down! Luckily Annette was aware and came and got me and I didn't feel like I lost too much time. I enjoyed the massage. Annette was mindful to ask if there's any area I like to focus on, and if she should avoid any area. I'm not going to lie, I probably fell asleep somewhere in between. I enjoyed that she rubbed my head, and face (it's crazy how good that feels). She spent extra time on my shoulders and legs & feet per my request. I definitely will consider coming back, since she's very reasonable with her pricing. $45 for an hour, but if you pre-purchase 2+ hours, it's $35. For the quality of massage, I think this is a deal. I purchased a Groupon to visit the Tranquility Point Therapeutic Massage... I figured I'd try it since it was so close to my work. Weeks went by and I finally made my appointment using their online appointment system, which was, by the way, super easy to use. My day arrived, I left work and drove to Chastain Avenue and got lost... I was in the correct parking lot, but still couldn't find suite# 2 so had to call them for directions. Annette answered the phone, gave me directions and walked outside to meet me. She was not at all what I expected, but had a big smile and was friendly so I kept going. Her studio is in one of those smallish multi-tennant office parks but it was clean and well organized. Annette gave me some paperwork and asked me why I'd come to see her. We discussed a childhood foot injury that is now giving me a lot of problems. I told her how my primary care doctor, my foot & ankle doctor and even an orthopedic surgeon couldn't seem to locate the source of my pain. I also told her I'd had an MRI and even a highly specialized, very specific cortizone shot... neither of which were at all helpful in finding the source of or relieving my pain. As soon as she touched my foot I knew she had a different type of understanding than the other doctors did. She said that they were trying to fix structural bone issues, not muscle issues... which made sense to me as my foot had not been broken as a child, but badly stretched and pinched. She put some essential oil on my foot and moved it all around while applying pressure to certain spots. It was very helpful. After the session, she showed me some charts that better explained what she thought my issues were so I was able to see the muscles and compare normal muscle structure to what she said the muscles were like in my foot. I left her studio with no pain in my foot... after one visit with her, I'd learned more than all the other very expensive visits combined. She did of course tell me about her pricing (which is very reasonable) and how her referrals worked, but was in no way pushy. I enjoyed my time with Annette and I'll absolutely go back to her. I recommend Tranquility Point Therapeutic Massage for anyone that has pain that your doctor can't fix. If you don't want to take pills to manage your pain, try therapeutic massage, it really helps. read more

I felt so relaxed when I was done and look forward to going back. Her prices are among the best I've seen - $45 for one hour and $35 if you buy multiple sessions. She definitely makes it affordable! I understand things happen and plans changed, but the owner had a bad attitude and was unprofessional. I bought my massage on groupon in April 2016, they were booked and the earliest I could get was October 2016. The night before my appointment i got a voicemail at 8pm saying they had to cancel and reschedule due to illness and would call back next week to reschedule. i did miss the call the next week but i called back the week after to reschedule, no one answered and i left 2 voicemail's. she called back with an attitude telling me what was going on with her family and why they had to cancel, she got smart and said i should know whats going on with hurricane Matthew if i watch tv. she also stated she dosent know why i would threaten to leave a review, she will "handle things" when she got back in the office. she offered to give me a full refund which i agreed. Then she quickly hung up. her tone was very unprofessional, and i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you buy on groupon, booked for months. read more

This was honestly the best massage I have ever had. I purchased a 2 hour Swedish through Groupon and was not expecting much considering the price was so cheap. Boy was I wrong ! Annette is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She made sure I was comfortable from start to finish. She is pretty far from me but the quality of the massage makes that irrelevant! I REALLY wish I could give them less than 1 star! I just read another review from 10 months ago as I logged in to write this one. My husband purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute massage and tried to schedule an appointment online. Apparently it is their normal business practice to promote their business on Groupon (which has a 180 day expiration) and push out the appointments to the middle of January 2018! If I calculate the days from when I purchased the Groupon deal to when their first appointment is available, that is 186 days which makes this deal expired to begin with!! It's fraud, if you ask me. Groupon needs to make them disclose this scheduling information PRIOR to customers making their purchases!! Of course, no one will answer the phone number listed and we're outside of the 3 day Groupon refund window, so we've decided to go to the location later today. We will be contacting Groupon about this as well. I'll give an update later but HAD to post this just in case someone else decides to patronize this company...don't do it!! read more

I purchased from living social the 60 min Swedish massage and found scheduling very easy but the times available were very limited and I had to book 2 1/2 months from today. They have some times available during the day a few times a week but only had 2 times on a Sunday for 2 1/2 months. Nothing on Saturday and only 2 times available on a Friday for 2 1/2 months. I will ask if they restrict the times available because it is a living social offer. I hope my massage is wonderful. read more
