My wife and I went to Zoe Massage & Bodywork for a couples massage, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We decided to do a staycation in Charlotte since it is so hard to plan a safe trip during Covid, so I was searching around on Yelp for a place that did couples massages and could fit us in last minute. I called for an appointment and the young lady that I talked to on the phone was efficient and friendly. The whole process was very easy and we were able to get an appointment with only 48 hours notice. On top of the great customer service, we also realized that they do an introductory rate for new customers. The place is tucked away off of South Blvd. in a small business/retail park. The facilities are very nice. They have heated tables, which is a very nice touch, a wardrobe to hang your clothes, nice soothing music, and even offer complimentary aromatherapy. Also, when you are getting undressed and comfortable they have a button that you can press to let the therapists know that you are ready. That way everyone isn't playing the awkward waiting game and you don't feel rushed. The actual massage experience was great as well. My therapist was Leia, and she had the perfect amount of pressure and really listened to all of my preferences and where I wanted her to focus. My wife's therapist was Ashley, and my wife was very complimentary of her as well. We walked away feeling extremely relaxed. Today is the day after the massage and I have to say my muscles feel so much less tight and sore than they did a few days ago. They take Covid very seriously and the therapists and patrons wore masks the whole time. I felt very safe during the entire visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage at the South End location. I booked with Leia & she made me feel very comfortable and "at home" so to speak. She made sure I was relaxed throughout the massage. Tiffany was as nice as could be and respected the serenity of the time on the table. (In other words, no chatter unless I asked a question)... No corporate hit or miss solicitation or spa amenities I do not want or need... Very nicely appointed studio in a nice professional office park (Tiffany's room is down right homey in fact)... Clean as a whistle and everything I personally require in the way of COVID vigilance. I had my first message at Zoe Message yesterday. For the most part, I had a wonderful experience. It started out a little rocky because I was unclear on instructions. This was probably more my issue than the Message Professional since it had been a long week of bad sleep. Moreover, the instruction I was not clear on was what to do before Ashley returned to the room to begin my session. I heard the instruction to remove my clothes and then something about being under the sheets but I honestly didn't hear if the latter step was to be done before or after she reentered the room. I undressed, leaving on my panties and an arm covering my breast area, and rang the bell ready to begin. Ashley entered the room and not happy and said something in an unpleasant tone about me not being under the sheets and to the ring bell when I was under the sheets and closed the door. There may be a reasonable explanation for her harshness, but I did not like it. She had met me minutes before so it's strange if she perceived me (5ft 3, 115lbs frame) as having ill intentions. I wanted to leave after that experience, but decided to stay because I was worried that meant I would forfeit my money. I sincerely apologize to her and explained that I was unclear on her instructions. That all said, Ashley did an absolutely fantastic job on the message. I wish my initial interaction with her was just as wonderful. Maybe posted instructions on the closet mirror would help avoid this type of interactions for all parties involved. read more

Had an incredible experience with Ashley! The whole business was very cautious re: COVID and I wore my mask during my experience. I had received a gift certificate to try Zoë and during my first time, they asked me great questions that aided in my experience and what essential oils I like (if at all). The sign up process online was incredibly easy so that by the time of my appointment, I just walked in and walked out! The customer service was awesome, providing me a water bottle to stay hydrated at the beginning and end of my appointment. They did not ask me if I wanted to schedule another appointment, and I loved that!!! Sometimes I'm in lalaland after a massage and can't think haha! I have been having some discomfort in my back and hips since childbirth 3 months ago. I recently saw Leia at this location for an introductory 60 minute massage. The facility is small and perfect for relaxation, and the room I was in was the perfect size...I didn't feel cramped in a tiny room like other places. The table was heated, which I enjoyed. Leia took the time to focus where I was having pain but also did some stretches with my legs, which was helpful. I wish I had booked a 90 minute session! I've visited several other massage facilities in Charlotte, but hadn't yet found one worth visiting more than once. After this appointment, I will be making standing appointments (90 minutes next time) with Leia at this location. read more
