Tranquility Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

DO NOT GET SERVICE OF ANY KIND HERE!! First and last time at the salon. I, apparently, was the first appointment of the day. As, I walked up to the salon and grabbed the door handle to walk in and pulled, I found the door to be locked. I was met by a man on the phone who did not unlock the door but waved me on like I shouldn't be there. Confused, I tried to let him know I scheduled services for haircut, color, facial, and massage. He paused his phone call to rudely tell me to wait in my car until the person doing my massage arrived. When the person arrived, she came stumbling in like she had just came from a long night of drinking and drugs, and carrying her own old massage sheets and blankets from home. I should have left but didn't want to be rude and thought I'd at least give the place a chance since I was due for all of the services I was scheduled for. Plus, there were some "good reviews" of the place. Although, now I'm thinking they must have all been left by family or friends. The person handing my massage did do an ok job on the massage part, even though her voice sounded like Marge Simpson's sisters from obvious years of smoking and drugs. I was taken back to a small back storage room, like the ones where they murder people in movies. The person had to turn up the heat to warm the place up and move things to fumble repeatedly over the massage table to get it set up. While naked, laying face down on the massage table, covered by nothing but a white sheet, the door to the room was opened twice by staff and the person had to stop to carry on conversations. After she finished, the person to service my facial came in. Oddly, SAME ANNOYING VOICE!! Again, the actual facial was not horrible but the door to the room was again opened by staff while still naked, laying on the massage table under nothing but a sheet. At this point, I kept telling myself to leave, but for whatever reason decided to stay and get my much needed hair colored and cut. The hair service was done by the same person who handled my facial. My hair was destroyed!! The color was nothing that I asked for and my long beautiful hair was chopped short. Then, when it came time to pay, each service person asked for Venmo, as if I had just purchased drugs or services that shouldn't be documented. I will never return and hope they go out of business before they torture anyone else or make them feel as unsafe and unwelcome as I did. Hope my money went to keep y'all off the streets! read more

Warning: This business and the owner will penalize you if your late or miss and appointment, but not take responsibility for their mistakes or mishaps. I have never been late or missed an appt as a long term customer. Their level of inconsideration and disrespect today lost me as a customer for good. My appt time was double booked. MY APPT WAS on the calendar. The other lady was not. They took the other lady first, making my appt run 30 min late. At first when the owner was present she said nothing to be about what was being decided. Then i asked her lovely client what was going on. Ive never met the owner, but expected she would introduce herself and apologize personally. Her client went and got her, and she said "Were gonna take her first bc its just a color, okay? 15 min". I smiled and said okay. 15 was no big deal. But, She didnt give me another choice. She didnt ask me if this was an inconvenience. She didnt offer me anything in the meantime. Im really surprised at the level of unprofessionalism, especially since ive been a client for a while. At 5:15, i said i wanted the leave. My time was not being respected. I explained how the decision was unjust. She responded "Well this happens in hair". Not anywhere ive been previously. If your 30 min late for a meeting, you lose ot or get penalized for it in life. Where is this ok???. I was offered a 20% discount. If thats how they feel makes us for this experience and my lost time today, then they have lost a long term customer. I am new to Arvada. I called to ask their prices and Deva services. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and so nice. She said their Deva trained stylists charge $50 for a haircut. She booked me with Kacey Wilmore. I needed a trim. No big deal. Kacey acted like I needed a total step by step tutorial about how to use Deva products. She never stopped her lecture. She did not want to be interrupted. At the end she totaled up my bill to be $58. She charged me $8 for her Deva lecture. She should have been upfront with me before she lectured me. I have been to Deva salons all over the USA. I never was charged for explanations of product use. They just used the products based on my wishes. Kacey asked me what tip I wanted to include. At that point I wanted to wait to see if my husband had cash for a tip. She followed me around and kept so close to me that I felt uncomfortable. I told her to let me look at all the Deva products alone to see if I could figure out if I needed new products or if I had what I needed back at my house. She stuck to me like glue. She must get a commission on products. She almost had her hand out for my $10 tip which was 20% of $50. Here is a few suggestions how this upscale comfortable salon can make it right with me: -refund my $8.00 over charge -call me and apologize for not being clear that if a stylist explains how to use products it will cost extra -train Kacey not to be so pushy Sadly I will never use this salon again so I hope to hear from the friendly kind lady who answered the phone yesterday morning. read more

Poor color service and left me unattended under the dryer. She made a comment she was praying to the hair goddess for the client she was working try to get her hair corrected. That should of been my first red flag. My scalp was burning and she didn't even come check on me once. Spent 180.00 to spend another 200.00 just for products and numerous haircuts for trims. It has been 4 months and I still have 3 inches of burnt ends with bright orange ends. I wouldn't go back to have her touch my hair again. Stay away!! read more

My Husband and I have been seeing Regina for services. recently I asked for shampoo and conditioner for Christmas. what I asked for was salon quality and since my husband doesn't know anything about this stuff he reached out to Regina to see if she could help. He told her what the product was and she said they could get it. On Christmas Eve he went and picked up the product. a few hours later my husband gets a message from Regina saying they rung up the product wrong and they need him to come back a pay the extra. the receptionist rang up the product for what they had paid and didn't mark it up. they wanted more than double what they paid. my husband had even asked if she was sure it was the correct price and she said yes! my husband said he didn't think that was right for them to ask him to come back and pay more because it was their mess up! so for the rest of the day Xmas Eve, all day Christmas and for days after Regina sent my husband message after message harassing him telling him he needed to do the right thing and pay the extra so the salon wasn't out money and so she could get her commission. he just kept telling her it was the salons mess up and it's just good business to take responsibility. he used example after example about how business works and why what they were asking wasn't right! he asked options of others and all agreed it was the salon at fault and should take responsibility. finally after day's of harassment and argument with Regina he decided it best to just stop the correspondence. so then Regina felt it appropriate to start sending me messages telling me we need to "do the right thing". This was how we spent our Christmas be harrassed and bullied about shampoo and $200, this was supposed to be my gift! I had enough and just wanted to be done with the situation, I agreed to come pay the $200 difference. Regina told me to just return the product and she would help me get more at a better price. I had already opened and used one shampoo and one conditioner but I did the "right" thing, I went in an returned the unopened product and paid the difference (their retail mark-up) for the ones I kept because I had used them already. so I as the customer did the "right" thing because the Salon as the business wouldn't. And once they got their way the treatment from Regina was even worse! Not only bad Business but bad people!! read more
