Randomly went to this spa which had same day availability- a plus if you immediately have needs to relieve headaches and neck tension. I typically like very deep tissue and find it annoying when you need that level of pressure and rarely find it at your average spa. I cannot recommend Justin enough. Extremely knowledgeable and just the right pressure. Most importantly he works specifically at the knots and sources of pain. He recommended stretches and explained some of the reasoning behind my symptoms while he worked them out. Had my first Ashiatsu massage with Emily and WOW!! It was AMAZING! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was hands-down one of the best massages I've ever had. The pent-up tension in my shoulders and back melted away like butter under the deep soothing pressure that felt like big hands. It was a surprisingly more of a luxurious experience than I expected. I had a gift certificate that was still valid and booked an hour massage today. When I got there they told me that the new ownership was not honoring gift certificates any longer. The best they could do was a 25 minute massage. So although they got full payment for a one hour massage they refused to honor it So disappointed. Such a dumb business decision. I haven't really posted many, if any, yelp reviews, but this time i really felt the need to do so. I'm very disappointed with the customer service. While I understand the policy, charging the full $200 for calling 30 minutes after missing check-in and then only offering to rebook for the next day is unreasonable and discourages repeat business (while keeping your original 200$). Don't expect to hear a peep prior to your appointment time either. Additionally, not being able to get partial service for a 100-minute session when missing the start time by 30 minutes is extremely frustrating. This experience has been truly awful. Granted the lady I spoke to on the phone was kind enough to state I was SOL in the nicest way, still, quite disappointing. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I just had the most AMAZING full body massage by Andrea! Absolutely incredible, possibly the best I've ever had. My hips/thighs were extra sore from an intense workout, and she intuitively knew exactly where I needed the extra focus and at the exactly right pressure! I was gifted a gift card here so I booked a facial here expecting to at least get some extractions done especially for the blackheads but it was more of a spa facial and it wasn't clearly stated on their website. Had I known, I would've booked a massage. I really enjoyed Cindy and her company though. She was so nice and enjoyable to speak with. Only reason why I couldn't give less than 4 stars. The products they use are questionable because I'm not sure if they actually did anything. My face didn't look any different afterwards. They don't use medical grade products. I had an amazing massage with Shanese Robinson @ Tranquility Wellness Spa for a relaxation massage. I added aromatherapy, hot stone & and scalp massage. She is very professional and would ask if the pressure is too soft or too strong, and apply based on your preference. She can be gentle but also strong if needed. Shanese energy is very professionaland so sweet. She is sort of like an empath with some positive Reiki healing energy. She would have a sense of your health issues just by touching you. I definitely will be back in the near future and will be referring family and acquaintances to Shanese. read more

I just got back from a deep tissue with Tammy and it was INCREDIBLE! She wanted to know what was going on, and really listened to me about my neck and shoulders to provide some relief. She has healing hands and I feel so refreshed. 10/10 would definitely return for her services. We booked an appointment for four people - we called to reschedule the appointment and was told that our appointment was made for after we left Florida. I told the girl that we would not be at the appointment because we would not be in Florida on the scheduled date. We were leaving Florida prior to the appointment. When my credit card statement was due, I logged in to find that the owner charged me $430.00. After multiple calls to the spa requesting to speak to the owner she returned my call. She stated she RECORDS ALL CALLS and I had not called to cancel. FIRST, recording without notification is against the law. Second, I gave her all days and times that I called in to dispute this. She finally stated to me that the reason why she didn't return my calls was her husband left her and emptied the bank account. SUSPICIOUS RIGHT? Her staff told me that the girls that were scheduled for our spa day didn't get paid because we didn't cancel. SO, she took my money and did not pay her staff. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. They said that since I didn't have an email or text from the SPA that I cancelled the call they could not reimburse me. I stated how am I do get a cancelled text when they didn't cancel the appointment!! BUYER BEWARE - SHE IS A THIEF! BUYER BEWARE - she makes you give credit card to make the appointment. Reputable places do not do this. BUYER BEWARE - she has listening devices everywhere!!! BE SMART DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU MAY BE THE NEXT VICTIM. read more

They have changed. No longer the luxury spa experience. The waiting lounge is partly a shower with benches. I drove an hour to get a massage. My therapist was late. No one else could take over. It is under new ownership as of January. Are used to go and it was extremely enjoyable but when I returned this month after the new owners took over, it is completely down hill. They did not give me the facial I expected and it was a painful experience. Pieces of the "plaster of paris mask" as the aesthetician called were ground into my skin as it does not remove easily and pieces went into my eye where I had to sit up and I had to get water put into my. I had to remove the debris which was also all over the sheet They never this told me about it prior to the treatment which they said, it would be the same as when I've had in the past, with this was not They also, in the web description had a foot massage which i didn't receive and they took $17 off! I have called the owner or manager a few times since I had the treatment. I have had to use honey mask to try to make my skin feel better after the extremely rough treatment they never called back they just don't care. I would say absolutely look for another place if there are five star reviews they were in the past they are not in the present. read more

What a fantastic experience!! The renovations are so great and have transformed the place to a little piece of heaven right in downtown St. Pete. The front lobby is observed by the friendly Zoe. Not only friendly, but she is beautiful and very professional. What a great first impression. Then the brightening facial I received from Cindy was truly outstanding. Hubby and I came in for a massage for him and a facial for me. My facial was 5 stats by Lula. She was super nice and attentive and explained everything throughout the process. Unfortunately hubby was supposed to have a 90 minute massage and was only given 60. When the hubby complained to the front desk about this after noticing the time he was told the therapist wasn't feeling well so shorted the massage. She seemed fine to us and never said anything to hubby. Not a good experience for the price. read more

They accomodated me last minute for a massage over the phone as you can't book online 2 hrs before an appointment time. It was a fabulous massage, one of the best I've had in St Pete. The therpist also asked what was bothering me, then really worked on those areas. The facilities are fine, not amazing, but they don't charge like the highest end, fanciest spa. I was in St. Petersburg for work, finished up early so decided to get a mani/pedi. I had seen Tranquility and it wasn't too far to walk, so grabbed an appointment. The nail technician was delightful. The ambiance was good. Here's what I found concerning: When the nail technician filed my nails she did not take the nail file from a sterile bag nor was it metal (could not be sanitized) and she sawed back and forth which hurt. She did not use a sterile nail buffer. I did not realize until I was getting my pedicure that the buffer is used from one client to the next. That is disgusting. What if someone before me had some kind of nail fungus!? As I got my pedicure I watched the other technician take a nasty, milky looking liquid that is supposed to sanitize the tools. I could not see what she put in it, however it wasn't the typical blue sanitizing liquid. I spent nearly $100 for unsanitary tools. Fingers crossed I don't get a fungus. From a sanitary perspective, I would not recommend Tranquility for nails. P.S. I do not blame the nail technicians for unsanitary practices, I blame management or the owners for cutting corners to save money without thinking of the safety of the paying customers. read more

I've been here twice now and both times were delightful. They have a nice facility. There's a ladies locker room with lockers & keys for you to put all of your belongings in. I find this to be a nice touch. They provide you with a robe and sandals. I much prefer a spa like this with a nice relaxing waiting area than something corporate where they rush you in and out. Both massages I had were great. I tried a hot stone for the first time with Andrea and it was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. I've also gotten my nails and toes done here. Both done well. There aren't TVS or anything like that in the nail area, which I like, because it allows you to just sit and talk with people rather than staring at a screen! I normally am not one to leave poor reviews because I'm actually quite a tolerable person but I'm really disappointed in how this place handled my appointment. My boyfriend called this place and set up two Polynesian manicures for my friend and I for my birthday and set his credit card info up with the front desk and prematurely added a 30% gratuity on his card. This particular manicure is suppose to be a really nice exfoliation, massage, oils, etc. then we added a 5$ each dip powder charge. At some point in the manicure I got nervous because we hadn't received lotion or a massage so I thought maybe they did it at the end. I then mentioned something about the Polynesian but because the woman didn't speak the best English I think she thought I said Paraffin? I'm not sure but the communication wasn't well. So finally the entire manicure is over my friend and I decide well check with the front desk to see if there was confusion (to be honest this was MY mistake for waiting to long). The lady at the front desk proceeds to tell me no we only got the basic manicure. However I know this can't be correct because not only did my boyfriend clarify with the front desk but I called and clarified with the front desk that it was the Polynesian. I'm irritated because BOTH OF US called and clarified this so why was there confusion. So whatever she charges us for the plain manicure she goes to ask for my card I told her my boyfriend prepaid. She said there was no card on file. She then proceeds to apologize which was nice but then scapegoats their manager named Anna because apparently Anna cannot work the computer system well (okay then why is Anna a manager)? At this point I'm not even angry I'm just sorta let down. Because this was suppose to be something special for my birthday and I'm now paying on my own card for a manicure that was sub par. I mean I've been to a lot of cheap nail salons and even THOSE at least put some lotion on your hands. She kindly takes 15% off but at that point they had also charged us $10 each to remove our nail polish $5 each for the dip gel and the manicure (with NO oils or lotion or even a small hand rub was $50 before the discount). Talk about nickel and diming I mean come on. I still tipped the woman 20% and the desk lady was very apologetic but I just wish someone had taken notes or made notes of the interactions. When you charge that much at a salon and spa you might want to follow up on your end by providing $$$ kind of service. I worked fine dining and there are higher expectations with higher price tags. It was my birthday and my boyfriend was so excited to treat me and this was just sort of a bummer. It wouldn't hurt to take notes and add them to bookings. From the minute you walk in you feel relaxed. The front staff is so friendly, the relaxing music, the changing rooms and staff are wonderful! I have chronic neck pain. I have gone to Andrea twice. She is so great at finding my trigger points, asking questions and educating me on exercises and stretches. She focuses on my pain points but also massages other areas. I have other friends that frequently go here for relaxation massages and they also love their masseuse(sorry I don't know their names). I plan on becoming a regular. read more

This has been my go-to place for waxing services for 7 years. They do everything from massages to facials to waxing and mani pedis. I've gotten one massage here and it was glorious. I used to get my nails done here as well, but I prefer a cheap quick in and out visit for nails. With spas it usually takes much longer since it's a relaxed atmosphere. I see Noelle for brow and lip waxing and she is awesome. She shapes my brows perfectly and I don't trust anyone else with them. However, I have seen Sarah a few times and she is so sweet and also good. Tranquility has a very...well...tranquil atmosphere. Everything is kept clean and the waiting room, nail area, etc. is nicely decorated. I've always appreciated the lounge area has well that has nice, private bathrooms, showers and a big sink area if you need to fix yourself up after a service. The owner, Nancy, and the front desk staff are also very friendly and pleasant. I will continue to enjoy being a customer here! read more
