A Hidden Gem in St.Pete .. Authentic, Unpretentious, Traditional Eastern Healing ‍ This was the best one hour of my life I ever spent . This place is definitely a hidden gem and I'm so glad I went here. Yannie was incredible. I was dead tired & my body and back of my neck was so tight from working on a computer all this month . After her one massage, I felt like I got rid of all the stress/ tension. I got the deep tissue massage and I literally felt I lost some weight afterwards. Her massages are incredibly focused on the pressure points . I suffer from occasional migraines and stiffness in the back of my neck. After she asked me if I have a headache, I told her yes and she focused on the back of my skull and neck for several minutes. All the stiffness went away after one session. My experience was so relaxing and healing. Yannie is such a sweetheart , poised , professional and courteous. I believe in Yannie . She's the rockstar of all the massage therapists. I needed repaired, fixed after months of traveling, sitting, piroformis acting up. Felt like hips were disengaged from the torso. Julie worked deep tissue on me along with the de tox cups. She noticed my knee surgery and seemed to know how to align me. Muscles, tendons compensating for other leg, leading to hips...you know..the old thigh bone connected to the hip bone thing. I was able to flex finally the last 3 weeks, able to work out in pool a bit. Even short walks and slept better with less hip pain. Today, after she stretched me again and got the blood flow going, I came home pain free for awhile at least. I feel confident Julie and I will correct this misalignment. I specifically went to Yannie after a dear friend (who also suffers with back pain) told me that she has amazingly strong hands. Living with back pain daily I needed a deep tissue massage to relieve pain and Yannie did NOT disappoint. I now joke with him that Yannie has "hands of steel". I have had multiple therapeutic massages and no one has even come close to the amount of pain/pressure she was able to inflict. I got the 90 minute deep tissue, hot stones and cupping. I got a 90-minute massage from Mary that was fantastic. She began with deep-tissue massage and really got under the fascia, followed by a more traditional massage, then hot stones. It has been years since I've been to a massage therapist willing to work on the head, hands, and feet, which all have important reflex points. And the ears! I would have purred if I could. I know you can't actually feel your lymphatic system drain, but I swear mine did. Also, Mary did not do any energy work, per se, but I could feel my chi getting stronger. I had a difficult time finding the building (it's right next to Lam's Auto Dealer). My GPS took me a good block away. I had been a long-time customer of this business. The massage is excellent, the very best available in the entire area of West Florida!! However there is a problem, on three or more occasions I've had my appointment time changed by request after i already was driving to the business. And The most upsetting change was on May 6th when I had a 4 p.m. appointment and I got there and I was told "NO" by the other massage person. She told me my person was in session. You wasted my time, wasted my gas, and show no respect to a customer time. I will remind you that without customers, u have no money. Very very bad business practice. This was one of the best massages! I took my mother to have a massage at Yannie's and she immediately noticed a dramatic reduction in the amount of pain she was feeling. My mom has had multiple surgeries on her back and knees and was having a lot of difficulty walking as well as sleeping. Following her massage, she was able to walk more independently and is no longer having muscle spasms in her legs and bag. This is the first thing that has helped her reduce her discomfort. I have been getting weekly massages for decades in different states and countries. I found Yannie and have not been to anyone else. Her intuitiveness finding my problem areas was unlike any other therapist. The gentle way she can relieve a spasm is amazing. I have left rolfing sessions sore and bruised. This is not the case with Yannie. Even when she walks on my back it is done gently and I can relax without fear of injury. I have come close to falling asleep while she was working on me.
