The install was scheduled, and the crew showed up at 6:30am that day. They draped and covered vulnerable areas and worked all day removing the old shingles and placing the new roof.  Overseeing the progress at the jobsite was Adam Cobb.  He came to me a couple of times to update me on how things were going and see if I  had any questions. When the job was completed the next day, he let me know they were done.  That is when I saw that my yard, porch, decks, flower beds and driveway were left in even better shape than they started with. So, there you have it.  If you want to wonder about the quality and service you will get-keep looking.  But if you want to get the best up front, go with CR&W.

The exact verbiage from the contract is, "The Contractor is not liable for damage to hidden water, electrical, gas, and/or HVAC lines." However, in the photo sent of the damage, the HVAC line is clearly visible. When we pointed out that the line was clearly visible, they claimed they were still not responsible and would cover just $250 of the $2133, but only if we removed the 1-star Google review we had just left. After several attempts to get in touch with the contact on the contract and the business owner, we got no response.

Upon discovery, he walked away from the job and blamed it on a moisture problem in my crawl space. He is a condescending con artist and treats women as if we are ignorant. I had a stain on an area of my hardwoods due to a mop being left there too long. He tried to "explain" to me that this was an example of a moisture problem! I simply laughed when he tried to be so "smart". His wife is his office manager and equally terrible to deal with. She is rude and annoyed if you have questions that they deem as frustrating. Best part is she agreed and even put in writing there was a leak due to her husband. However, he somehow negates that statement. Unbelievable - not smart behavior in a small town like this.

This is was a big project to remove a wall to open up our downstairs, completely renovate the kitchen, pull up and install new floors, and paint the entire house. The project finished exactly on time. The price was reasonable. This was a once in a lifetime reno, and we could not be more happy with the quality of the work, the end result, and the overall experience. We use our kitchen every single day (all day!), and it is functional and beautiful. There is nothing I would change about it. All parties involved should be recognized, from design services to project management and to each of the contractors: Cabinet guys, countertop guys, floor installers, painting team. All did really quality work. I haven't hung up pictures yet because it's so nice having beautifully painted walls!! It's worth pointing out that we could not afford to vacate our home while this was going on, so we (my husband, me, our 5 year old son, and 12 year old dog!) lived in the house for 5 weeks without a kitchen, floors, etc. I know our living there and needing some place to sleep, etc. had to be factored in to the overall organization and scheduling, and I'm sure it made the project more complicated. Came on a Thursday and installed the tub without the required rim boards which is required by the installation instructions and was discussed in writing prior. When I reminded him day before they must be installed his response was "we know". Then they didn't install. Quite the attitude for what's the come.... He came back out on Friday to add the boards and reinstall. While I'm at work him and his counterpart text me multiple times job is complete now and they want payment. He threatens to sue me for payment on Monday...again this is the SAME DAY they finished within a couple hours since the job is "complete". Stephen sounded like a desperate money hungry psychopath in my opinion. Alarm bell starts ringing.... I tell them especially since previous days misinstallation I will inspect it and water test before paying them. They try making excuse that "you also can't use water until tile is installed". What a lie! Thank goodness I didn't listen. So the next morning I cut off the tube he had blocked and ran the water and guess what? It leaking like a wide open sieve and damaged the ceiling below. (Video below) Long story short I had to hire an actual plumber who tore out and redid all their shoddy work. The plumbing they did to the spout didn't meet code either and was off center. No washer or propert sealant was installed on the tub drain which is why it leaked. Was also installed way off center. No fasteners were installed in the tub either. It's hard finding ANYTHING that was done properly. He even had the gall to state "you telling us how to do the work and I'm just wondering why you just didn't do it yourself?? We did a good job at a fair price." I regret hiring them and wouldn't recommend...to say the least. Photos and video below. Based on previous reviews he's going to say this is "Fake" and he never worked for me. He doesn't do contracts? Just to get ahead of that....I've posted our contract on my post on Nextdoor. He's also not licensed in the state of South Carolina to perform plumbing work..... this is ILLEGAL. He lies on multiple platforms. He claims Chris is his employee also a tech then he says later he's unaffiliated with him. Never met anyone this untruthful.

They even came back to check on everything about a week after their job and fixed one of our skylights for us. They were professional (the people I spoke to on the phone and emailed with, the rep, the roof workers, etc), kept our yard protected and clean and we never had any issues. The roof still looks great, even after Hurricane Matthew. We will certainly be reaching out to them for more exterior work to be done on our home.

We were told the sub contractor that installed the Hardi Plank on our house no longer works for the company because of complaints. Where does that leave us? We purchased the more expensive Hardi Plank with the color baked in so it will never need to be painted and yet putty was placed over nail holes that will have to be painted. Most of the planks have bowed or are wavy. Window screens were torn during installation by sub contractor and still have not been replaced. Sub Contractor left a mess after his job was completed and I had to clean up the mess. We waited a long time to have exterior doors installed and we're still waiting to have them painted. I would not use this company again.
