Hired this company on Yelp. On Friday, April 20, I sent a message to Helping Hands Moving stating…read morethe address and time we anticipated to meet him. He e sent a message Apparently on SUNDAY evening, he sent a message to reconfirm. I do not check messages on a Sunday evening. When I checked this morning (Monday May 2), while waiting for their arrival today, there was a message at 9:00 AM, "This job got taken off our schedule because we could not confirm the job." When I called them asking why they cancelled, they told me since I didn't reconfirm SUNDAY EVENING, they were not coming. Jim hung up on me without any apology or options. We are a non-profit animal rescue organization, run by volunteers, and we needed this company to help us move necessary appliances to our new facility so that we could reopen and continue with our mission of taking in unwanted kittens and cats and adopting out to their forever homes. I can't believe Yelp would keep a company with such lack of morals on their list of companies. Please be forewarned they do not live up to their commitments.

Communication prior to the job was prompt and all questions answered. We agreed to 2-3 hours. The guys said they would get it done in two. The finished and they charged me only for the two hours. All was fast clean and competent. Thank you for doing the sweating for me. No sweat with these helping hands.

Unfortunately the movers- who are shown on my ring camera in florida loading 49 boxes & a new Christmas tree... & multiple other items . When they rapidly unloaded my boxes I was assured everything was delivered . However.. The ring camera- when they DELIVERED my items shows very clearly - they were short 3 large boxes & 1 small box & my new $500 Christmas tree. I lost irreplaceable family items, meaningful things . When I noticed the missing items- I was told "I am sorry. You have our word we will find your stuff". Guess what? They never did. I had basically over 4 thousand dollars worth of my belongings either stolen or delivered to the other family's home . I lost my husband ... prior to the move and now irreplaceable meaningful belongings were just taken from me. And guess what? Their promises of "we will find your items"... were empty words. My advice- use any other mover . You don't want to be in my situation, I wish I had used any other moving service . The bad part is - I thought they were legitimate, trustworthy.. but I guess I was easy prey to steal from. Apparently they are not even insured ... so beware

The representative showed up for his appointment on time and in a company vehicle. We went through the home from room to room and he took a detailed inventory of everything I needed to move. The cost was very fair. The deciding factors for me were that they had all of the necessary insurance to protect me and my belongings, and the movers were company employees NOT hired day laborers. The day of the move a team of four showed up on time and ready to go. You could tell that they really knew what they were doing and treated all of my belongings with care and respect. Quality Movers was able to move me on my time schedule for the closing of my home. I will definitely call them when I am ready to move everything into my new home.

This moving company is absolutely amazing. The hardest thing to find when you are moving is quality…read moremovers. Well this team definitely lived up to its name. The two men who moved me out of storage, I think one was Kendall, could not have done a better job. The company charges by the hour, these guys were literally jogging through the hallway at the storage unit as they were going from their truck to the unit. I had told them I wasn't sure if I was going to need 2 hours or 3. As we approached 2 hours, Kendall (I think) reminded me of the time in case I didn't want to go over. I ended up using the extra hour and they unwrapped all the items. They even pointed out the spider eggs!! that had accumulated in storage. Those spiders would have been running rampant in my house otherwise! For that alone, and for everything else too, I wish I could give them 10 stars. Only issue has nothing to do with the movers. The company charges a service fee for using a credit card. I wish I had caught that before they came because I could have given them a better tip, I didn't have enough cash. They certainly deserved it.

Add to that several pieces of wood furniture. I'd rather they'd ASKED me and shrink wrapped the stuff rather than no protection at all. I brought this to owner's attention and he tells me if I'd chosen their "premier" service he could do something, then it was I didn't have enough blankets (big lie--there were leftovers) then the song & dance about not shrink wrapping it. Well....if you're not going to wrap it in blankets that I provided give ME the option of SW. You effing ruined my $3400 leather sofa.

Unfair billing. Paid for time the movers were not there…read more The moving company was given the right address, but went to the wrong street. They also didn't write down the apartment number, which confused the issue more. They started their time, when they weren't at the apartment (almost an hour before they actually showed up). The person who scheduled the move did not write down the cell phone number I gave him, but copied my office landline from the caller ID. The move was scheduled for Saturday. This mistake lead them to be unable to reach me to clear up the confusion. I got an email that they had arrived, even though they were not there. I called to find out where they were, and nobody answered. Finally, I reached someone on the phone, 25 mins later, and was told they would call the drivers to see where they were. I was assured I would not have to pay for the time they were not there. Vanessa, the operator, stated she could not reach them, but would try again. Nearly 50 mins later, they went to right street (the street they were given in the first place) and started the move. Unfortunately, after the move was over, the driver was unable to change the start time, but assured me he would do so when he got back to the office. He admitted they were late, and lost, and I shouldn't have to pay for that time. Vanessa had also told me the same thing when we were trying to figure out where they were. I tipped both drivers $100 each for their time, and thought they'd sort out the time issue. I waited a week. They did not correct the time. I had to pay an additional $125 (which made the total bill come out to $200 more than I was quoted) because the owner is greedy and refused to correct it. My original quote was for $550 to move a one bedroom apartment in Ocala to a house in Gainesville. The total move time took around 2 hours and I was charged $700, plus the $200 I stupidly gave the drivers thinking they'd correct my bill. While the movers were nice, and relatively gentle with our things, the billing was unfair and owner does care enough about his customers to make it right. Because of this, I cannot recommend this company, nor will I use them in the future.
