The initial contact of course was great! The willingness to unload was great! But then the con began! They tried to charge us for gas for two people who does That? The mover used profanity in my home because he and his boss were trying to con each other in addition to us! No, honor among thieves!!!!!!! Because we moved long distance and were tired my husband decided to just pay the charges! Just know that when companies are dishonest and rip consumers off it does come to an end because there is power in numbers! The worker stood in my house and bragged about how they stole our business from Uhaul which is who we were dealing with because they represent Penske! We got charged double what we should have been charged! The thing is they could have honestly made the money! Also, it was just a partial move the big and final move will be soon now that is where the money lies! Guess who will not get the business! Having said that the coliseums movers will get the business in Texas and not their affiliates here in Texas! CONSUMERS make or break your business! Consumers warning each other goes along way! This company is owned by JOHN SULLIVAN -- The Villages Movers And Storage Logistics (villagesflmovingandstora...).... the number on the Zip Ship Movers site is forwarded to the same number + Florida Department Of Consumer Affairs stated that The Villages Moving And Storage IS NOT LICENSED... "Zip Ship Movers" is licensed but not as a moving company. Before you use this company -- please read my review I posted under "Villages Moving And Storage". Our initial contact with the Attorney General office was with the group "crimes against Seniors" - they did not even recommend filing a complaint with their group as there have been numerous complaints and John Sullivan refuses to speak with them. If you have similar problems... do write a complaint to The Attorney General (not "crimes against Seniors), FDAC (Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services) but most importantly ... file a complaint with DOT (Department Of Transportation) then follow up with legal council or small claims court if that is an appropriate avenue. read more

Great moving company to work with. I moved Several states away. I had heard terrible stories about moving companies from friends and family where their things were damaged, or lost, and even circumstances where their belongings were held for additional charges. The Village Movers were professional, responsive, the staff was friendly, and respectful of your belongings. We had booked them for a move and our first offer on our home fell through. There was no problem when we had to change the date. Their price was fair with no surprises. I felt like we were working with friends that we had known for awhile. Hello! I must say these gentlemen know how to move a house, even with every room having furniture and décor galore! They did a job that I who has ADHD could be proud of! They cared for my things, even though it wasn't theirs, they treated as so. They always answered my questions and the phone when I called before the move and never once gave me an attitude or made me feel that I was bugging them. I used Village Mover twice in the last year. The first was for a move within The Villages and the second was for a move from the Philadelphia area to The Villages. Both times they arrived on a date and time to meet my tight schedule, promptly did the packing (mostly from the kitchens). ( I packed the electronics.) They correctly disassembled for moving and reassembled at the destination large furniture pieces. Nothing was broken nor turned up missing. We hired Mike Collop Village Mover of Fruitland Park for a move from The Villages to Alabama. James and Robert were very hard working and did an excellent job placing all of our furniture and boxes on the truck. They were on time and everything arrived at our new home before the expected time with no damages. Much of the stress of moving was eliminated because of their efficiency. We moved a week ago today. The Village Movers did a terrific job! Their price was very reasonable. 2 guys loaded 2 huge truckloads of our stuff and never stopped working from 8 am - 3:30 pm. Didn't even take a lunch break! They asked where certain things went and set it down exactly where I indicated. They took apart all the furniture and beds and reassembled them at the new place.
