The major problem with the full service movers was the loading and unloading personnel, so we hired some very well rated services on both ends. Selecting a loading service with experience in packing trailers (ideally ABF/U-pack trailers) is critical to insure your valuables aren't bouncing all over the truck. Long story short; U-packs communication and process was excellent. Our items arrived on schedule and undamaged. Moving is no fun and I never want to do it again, but if I had to, I wouldn't hesitate to use U-Pack again.

We unfortunately had a very bad experience. They are contracted through our local Menards to…read moredeliver large appliances. Ours was delivered last week by two men, one of which was extremely rude to me and my family members as soon as they arrived (2 hours late). Complained about the job, accused us of being unprepared (took off work and moved stove and cabinetry out of kitchen). He was referring to our need to remove the doors of the fridge to get it in the house -we told Menards we would need to do this and they assured us it would be no problem. His partner left during the delivery because "time is money". He tried to do it alone and nearly dropped the fridge and then he dented our stove with the old one. We asked him to please call his partner back and he said that the waiver I signed meant he could "damage whatever he wanted". Repeatedly said "I should leave this on your front porch" and "you're lucky I'm still here". Demanded extra cash on top of what we prepaid. Ultimately the partner (who was kind and apologetic) returned and they were able to bring it in no problem. My husband did at least 50% of the work bringing in doors and removing the old fridge while he sat on his phone and complained. We asked them to leave without installing because of his behavior and attitude. Menards refunded us and said they have had similar complaints before. Will never hire or recommend. I feel bad for the apologetic partner, he probably could've done a good job without the other guy!

They came in on the lower side of their time estimate, which was great. The team consisted of Bradley himself, plus 2 others, so a 3 man team. Their rates were the same as the going rate in town for movers (Kenneys, 2 Men and a Truck) BUT they had 3 people rather than 2, which I think helped with the time it took to move us. They did get our mattress a little dusty/dirty in their truck, so I would suggest they start using plastic sheeting or something to keep things clean. So this guy finally comes back and just says 'we refuse to move you' like that's a thing? Said we have too much stuff, that's the job! Just refused...and left. That's it. No call from Kenney's, nothing. Worst ever. They should be out of business to do this to people. Website says they take the stress out of moving, total crap, I have hardly ever had more stress. And then having to arrange another mover (see my other review, was actually a great experience). Obviously these guys don't want to work and wanted a day off I guess, whatever. They were easy to work with from scheduling to the actual move. The movers worked hard and efficiently and were super friendly. My furniture and boxes were handled with care. They were on time. Prices were very fair. But I think my favorite moment of all was when the man on the phone suggested places to get free boxes, and only THEN told me that they have some new ones that they also sell. "But I'd say don't come in and buy those unless you can't find any of those free ones. Oh, try this place too." I love you, Kenney's. (PS: Totally scored the free boxes.)

On the phone they discussed the big pieces of furniture in our apartment, the floor our apartment was located on and the type of housing we were moving into. That is when the manager gave my husband a quote for $90/hr for two guys and a large truck. We appreciated how timely the response was, the ease of getting a quote, and the manners the manager had while working with us. We booked them quickly because that was the best deal we had been given. Pre-moving day: They called 4-5 days before our moving date to confirm our appointment and asked if we had any questions. We appreciate this courtesy. Moving Day: Our movers showed up 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time, however, we honestly weren't too concerned. Part of the reason we booked this company was because they begin their money-clock as soon as they arrive. Being tight on money, we decided to start bringing boxes down to where the truck would be loaded two hours prior to the truck showing up. This would take leg work away from the movers so they didn't have to do the stairs 8 million more times. The two men that were with us had very quiet demeanor's. They both were polite and worked along side my husband and I and our two friends well. Half way through the moving process the movers were getting to some of our bigger, heavier furniture. One mover had asked both my husband and I individually what our quote was. A person helping to clean my apartment heard the two movers talking while the rest of us were taking a lap down the stairs that they were upset that we were under quoted. They said that this should have been a three man job. Honestly, in hindsight, I don't blame them in the slightest - it probably was a three man job. Although, they made that slight slip when they probably thought they were alone, they maintained face and worked through the move. They wrapped our stuff up nicely and made the job look easier than I know it was. Moving in to our new place went by very quickly. The men took direction well and worked through any kinks that always come with moving furniture. Damage: We did have one piece of furniture that fell apart. They were quick to point it out to us. They took pictures of the damage. Thanks to their insurance and our agreement they will be sending someone out to see if they can repair it (it might actually be repairable, I think!) or they will be replacing it. Again, we don't place any harsh fault of this on anyone - this stuff happens! We just appreciate it being taken care of! My neighbors hired them to move their things, I came home to their truck parked, completely…read moreblocking me and my other neighbors drive way, on the wrong side of the street. I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. Items were left behind in closets, kitchen items were missed, and overall there was a lack of attention to detail. We were also told that our toiletries were "too much" and they would not take them, and they refused to take unopened, brand-new laundry detergent. Communication became another major issue. We were notified less than 24 hours in advance that delivery would be taking place at 8:00 a.m. at our new home. We contacted ownership and simply asked if delivery could be moved to noon because my flight was not landing until 9:00 a.m. and my husband would arrive later that day. Instead of working with us, Angie was rude and stated that we already knew when they would be there. That was incorrect -- she appeared to be referring to the packing schedule, not delivery. I explained our travel situation and tried to communicate in advance. The next morning, I received a message stating they were signing paperwork as "customer not present" and leaving the load at the house. To make matters worse, we discovered damage and missing items: * One dresser was damaged * Another dresser was left laying on its side * Our Tempur-Pedic bed arrived missing wires/components * A decorative statue was damaged Moving is stressful enough, and we expected better communication, more care with our belongings, and basic customer service. They came out and looked at all we wanted moved and listed it all and gave us a good estimate. We had a couple weeks to change items (some ended up selling with the house) and with those changes in place we awaited moving day. I don't know how to explain how great these guys were. They wrapped our items so nicely in blankets to avoid any damage. They were friendly and personable and way nicer to my 14yr old that kept asking them questions than they had to be. They didn't even grumble when I asked them to rearrange items when they got to the new house because I changed my mind where they should go. Best of all they moved a 300lb safe from a basement to another basement and tried their darnedest to get a standing freezer into the new house basement (unfortunately the logistics just didn't work). Estimate came in a lot lower than we expected too. I would recommend them again in a heartbeat !!!
