At one point it started acting very strange, so I took it to AAMCO to get the transmission checked out. They replaced the fluid and checked my entire car for anything else that needed repair, for no extra charge. They found that both CV axles were broken, the rear differential fluid was dirty, an engine mount was loose, and the serpentine belt was dangerously close to snapping. They gave be the best rate they could and got all of the work done in a matter of just a few days. A few months afterwards, one of the CV axles broke again and the rear diff fluid was dirty again, but both were under warranty, and they fixed them for free. I've even called for advice about my car, like if it would be okay to take on a long car trip, and Phillip has always been so patient and understanding and helpful, without ever being pushy. They've never pestered me about things like air filters or tried to swindle me into paying extra--in fact, they've referred me to other shops for work like oil changes when those options have been cheaper. 5000/5 stars. I don't write reviews, but I had to for AAMCO. Huge thanks to Phillip and the mechanics out there!

However, after leaving a review, the shop reached out to me, apologized, and asked me to bring the car back in. This time they took the time to actually inspect things and found that fuel had gotten into the charcoal canister, likely causing the EVAP codes. They reset the codes and recommended starting with a new gas cap before moving into deeper diagnostics, which I appreciated instead of jumping straight into expensive repairs. While the first interaction wasn't great, I do appreciate that they made an effort to make it right.

Took my truck in for a tick and was told it was a piston and would cost almost 3 grand in repairs…read more (99% of the time a piston slap or piston will get louder when a truck gets hot) The best part is he said he wasn't sure if he could fix it and wanted me to pay even though I couldn't get a for sure answer. It was a bad lifter that costed me less then $200, I honestly think this mechanic thought id be dumb enough to fall for it and was hoping to make lots of money off me. I don't think its A1 but more or less the mechanic they have hired! They should be getting a second opinion or digging deeper if they think people are just going to fall for this and for that kind of cash up.
