At one point it started acting very strange, so I took it to AAMCO to get the transmission checked out. They replaced the fluid and checked my entire car for anything else that needed repair, for no extra charge. They found that both CV axles were broken, the rear differential fluid was dirty, an engine mount was loose, and the serpentine belt was dangerously close to snapping. They gave be the best rate they could and got all of the work done in a matter of just a few days. A few months afterwards, one of the CV axles broke again and the rear diff fluid was dirty again, but both were under warranty, and they fixed them for free. I've even called for advice about my car, like if it would be okay to take on a long car trip, and Phillip has always been so patient and understanding and helpful, without ever being pushy. They've never pestered me about things like air filters or tried to swindle me into paying extra--in fact, they've referred me to other shops for work like oil changes when those options have been cheaper. 5000/5 stars. I don't write reviews, but I had to for AAMCO. Huge thanks to Phillip and the mechanics out there!

His car wouldn't start after stopping briefly, likely due to a faulty starter since there was no cranking or clicking, though the battery seemed fine. After trying to jump-start it without success, we called AAA and had it towed to Leavitt Automotive based on their good reviews. The technician initially said they would test the starter, but later claimed the battery was bad and needed replacement, showing me a test result with handheld device. Despite my skepticism, I agreed to the replacement. The next day, they said the car still wouldn't start and now needed another diagnostic for the starter --apparently, they hadn't tested the starter yet. I had to pay $200 for initial diagnostics and $400 for the battery replacement and additional diagnostic fee to test the starter, so I asked them to reinstall the original battery. AAA then towed it back to my shop in Provo. I had the original battery tested at AutoZone (I wanted to check the condition of the batt.), and it showed as fully functional / healthy - turned out to be a GOOD battery!! OMG!! I called Leavitt Automotive to get refund what they charged ($200 initial diagnostic / $100 battery service), and the representative, Jim insisted the battery was no good. He hung up the phone and never answered. So I called other rep. After more back-and-forth, the owner only offered a $20 refund, claiming it covered the technician's work. Who made a faulty diagnostic?! I paid $300, two tows and got nothing!! My mechanic diagnosed and replaced the starter, and now the car runs and drives perfectly with the original battery--confirming it was a starter issue all along. I'm reporting this incident to the BBB for misleading diagnostics and refusal to take responsibility. The original battery, still in good condition, is proof. This shop is overpriced and untrustworthy. Be cautious--you could end up a victim, too.

They reset the codes and recommended starting with a new gas cap before moving into deeper diagnostics, which I appreciated instead of jumping straight into expensive repairs. They told us we needed to replace the ignition coil and spark plugs and that would solve the problem. After charging almost $900 the code came back in less than a month. We took our car back in and they told us they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and to come pick it up. We asked for a list of tests they ran and the results. We got a small list but no results. A simple search from chat gpt told us what the problem could be and easy tests that could be run to confirm it. Two other mechanics confirmed that they could have run a simple test to confirm the head gasket was bad as well. Now we get to pay another mechanic to diagnose it and replace the head gasket after already wasting $900 with carsmart.
