The Case of the No Show Cab…read more My friends and I were attending a wedding outside of Austin. I knew that Uber had already left and there was a hodgepodge of rideshare services that rose from Uber's ashes. After some phone calls we decided, "Hey 2 Star Yelp business a chance, what's the worst that can happen?". We reserved 3 vans to be picked up at midnight at the wedding venue. Lo and behold, midnight strikes and I had a Cinderella at the ball moment. I went from feeling like the belle to a puddle of sadness, because at this point of the night I was so exhausted that I had no energy to think. After playing phone tag for 30 minutes, a van finally arrives as we were basking in the moonbeam and start lit night. Women and children went first because chivalry isn't dead. We were told that the other van was behind him and that we should be rescued shortly. This was at 1:30am, after the agreed upon midnight pick up. Another hour went by, and we figured that the taxi cab has left us stranded 28.4 Miles from Austin. We cut our losses and we had two people from the one AND only van that came and picked us up and dropped them off come to get us. We finally got home at 3am. Despite the crappy ordeal, we now have a greater appreciation for Uber. You da real MVP. Austin misses you.

The tours and guides speaks and understands English well, they were able to give great recommendations and educations to us about pertinent history needed. 2. The hotels were absolutely a great choice, even though we stayed at a budget hotel, it felt like it was not one. 3. Working with Selene as a travel advisor is a truly a wonderful personal experience, even though I didn't met her personally, it felt like she cared so much and that she response as soon as she could with great recommendations and timely information dissemination. Soon, when we get back I/we would personally look for Selene to be our Advisor. 4. I/we would definitely recommend Peru For Less! With a rating of 100/10! Everything was so smooth and coordinated. It really felt like a vacation for us. We didn't have to worry about anything as long as you follow their instructions. I'd done a cruise before, but had never worked with a tour company---have always been an independent traveler abroad. But for this trip, since we were traveling with a kid to a place we'd never been and had limited knowledge of---and were traveling with another family too---it seemed like a good option. Silvia was lovely to work with, as was the rest of the PfL staff as we organized our trip. The trip had a lot of moving parts, and we had a lot of questions and edits and ideas, and everything came together beautifully. The trip itself (once we got there!---the airlines were problematic but that's not at all PfL's fault!) was absolutely seamless---I mean it. At the appointed times, we'd walk to our hotel lobbies and the tour vans were always either waiting or arriving a moment later, right on time. We never once had to wait or worry. Our private tour guides were outstanding---knowledgeable, friendly (I mean, to the point of buying us local snacks!), charming with our kids, and spoke English better than most Americans do. Special shout-outs to Fabricio (in the Sacred Valley and again in Cusco), Peter (at Machu Picchu) and David (for the food tour in Lima). (Also our guide to the water-light show in Lima, but I'm afraid I've lost his name.) Hiroshi at Inkaterra was also great. Airport transfers were a breeze, hotel check-ins were simple... As far as PfL's arrangements went, I don't think we encountered a single problem. Professional and exacting. Thank you!

From the second we got on the bus to the time we departed he was patient, accommodating and extremely helpful and a safe driver. The bus had Bluetooth access for music and complimentary energy drinks to get the party rolling. We were able to leave our stuff on the bus during our float which as you can imagine is a major plus. Clark offered to take a group photo for us, and he even helped carry some of our tubes for us down the hill to the put in spot. We had 0 issues and an overall very positive experience and I would definitely use this company again for our next group trip.

I worked with a guy named Vinny who sent pictures of the bus I was getting for my 30th birthday (yeah, bro, thanks for RUINING that). The bus trip was scheduled for Saturday, April 9. Magically, just TWO HOURS before my trip, Vinny emails me this: "I have some unfortunate news, the bus assigned to you just blew its alternator. :/ I am working on getting the bus towed right now. I can give you our Massive TV Bus, I won't charge you extra for this bus." EXTRA!?!! The bus was DISGUSTING. It looked like a trashed school bus that takes kids to the damn river, NOT a clean party bus for a grown up trip. Immediately, I email Vinny asking about the bus and guess what folks!?!?! That's the last I heard from him. I DID NOT RIDE IN THAT FILTHY BUS. We cancelled our trip with the driver and now we're trying to track down Vinny to get my refund. I more than deserve my money back. Don't get "catfished" with a fake awesome bus from here. They'll make up something about your nice bus not being available and try and hope you are a dumb or drunk kid that won't complain. Not the case here.

Uriel is always quick to respond with an estimate and it's easy to book the service. He's always arrives on time and constantly monitors the situation at the airport so he knows if he should suggest an earlier pickup. He's also on top of monitoring your return flight and waits patiently for us to collect our bags and text him when walking outside the terminal. He locates us quickly in the crown and loads our bags into his vehicle. His cars are clean and well maintained. Comfortable temperature is maintained. His driving is smooth and professional. And, if you want to chat, he's very personable and relatable. If you want quiet because perhaps your tired, he respects that too. We're fortunate to have his service in our area.

I paid and received a receipt, but never got any follow-up or pick-up details. When I tried calling, the number was disconnected. I also emailed them, only to have it bounce back with a "not found" error -- even when using a different email address. To make matters worse, the address listed turns out to be a post office, not a real business location. That's a major red flag and may even involve legal violations. It's incredibly frustrating that in 2025, scams like this still happen. This company seems to be completely fraudulent. TripAdvisor needs to investigate and remove their listing immediately. Save yourself the hassle -- do not book with Apexcursions.
