The Case of the No Show Cab My friends and I were attending a wedding outside of Austin. I knew that Uber had already left and there was a hodgepodge of rideshare services that rose from Uber's ashes. After some phone calls we decided, "Hey 2 Star Yelp business a chance, what's the worst that can happen?". We reserved 3 vans to be picked up at midnight at the wedding venue. Lo and behold, midnight strikes and I had a Cinderella at the ball moment. I went from feeling like the belle to a puddle of sadness, because at this point of the night I was so exhausted that I had no energy to think. After playing phone tag for 30 minutes, a van finally arrives as we were basking in the moonbeam and start lit night. Women and children went first because chivalry isn't dead. We were told that the other van was behind him and that we should be rescued shortly. This was at 1:30am, after the agreed upon midnight pick up. Another hour went by, and we figured that the taxi cab has left us stranded 28.4 Miles from Austin. We cut our losses and we had two people from the one AND only van that came and picked us up and dropped them off come to get us. We finally got home at 3am. Despite the crappy ordeal, we now have a greater appreciation for Uber. You da real MVP. Austin misses you. read more

This is and will potentially be the worst experience of any kind in my life. The purpose of this review is to inform you of our poor experience and to emphasize why you NEVER go with a lowly-rated service... no matter what. Last night, I reserved 3 vans to come out to our wedding venue to pick up some guests. About 70 minutes before our agreed time, the operator texted to confirm. We agreed. At 10 minutes past, he tells us the VANS (as in plural) are on the way - 10 minutes away. Annoying, but it happens. All good. Let's stream some college football. At this point, the lives of 18 people are threatened. I cannot emphasize this enough. We find out last minute that they were only going to send 2 vans. Super annoyed, but I guess it'll have to do. The first 8 goes into the van; before leaving, we ask about the 2nd van. "It's right behind me." Within 15 minutes, we quickly realized the 2nd van was nowhere close. Within 30, we found out there wasn't another van coming... We had 8 other family and friends waiting at a wedding venue that was closed. No restroom, barely any lights, no water, etc. What about the ride itself? I mean, how hard is it to drive with google maps in your hand? We ended up tailing a van, taking the wrong highway, and swerving between lanes. The driver was awful and even tried to force us into paying/tipping him in cash above the agreed price. Super sketchy. Absolutely terrible service, expectation setting, attitude from both the driver and the operator (owner/manager?). This is the reason why we need rideshare companies. We need a level of accountability on these cab companies. I hope if you still decide to do business with this company after reading this, don't be stubborn and get into the van with the license plate of DSH-****. Don't use this company. We called for a van to pick 6 of us up. Because of the distance (over 20 miles), they asked us to prepay by credit card, which was fine, and which we did. 10 minutes into the trip the driver asks my friend sitting in the front seat if we had paid. My friend yelled back to me (I was in the back row) to ask if I had. When I indicated we had, the driver insisted repeatedly that we had not. That forced me to sign into my credit card account in order to pull up the information (a process that took 10 minutes due to poor cell phone service). Once I passed my iPhone forward to show the $95 charge, he said, oh okay, and then asked if I wanted a receipt. He then sends me a digital receipt which I received immediately. He then proceeds to tell my friend that he was "just kidding" and explains that their policy is always to require prepayment for trips of 20 miles or over. This was at best terribly unprofessional service and at worst a failed attempt (hoping that my friend would not realize that I had already paid and would pay a second time) to scam us out of $95. Based on the evidence, I infer it was most likely a failed scam attempt (which is why he did not say he was joking during the 10 minutes it took me to pull up the credit card charge). This is the worst cab company I've ever dealt with in my life. I called at 1:58pm for them to pick me up so I can go to the dentist for 3pm. The commute should only take 20 minutes from my job to the location and the dispatcher said yeah no problem that's perfect be there in twenty. He knew I had a 3pm appointment. Twenty minutes roll by and I call back and he says oh I had to pick someone up at the airport. I'll be there in 20; which is ridiculous cause he said that twenty minutes ago. It's clear at this point that the dispatcher and the driver is the same person. Because he txt's me 5 mins later saying he's 12 miles away?!? Then at 2:40 I'm leaving an angry voicemail when he calls in and tells me to call yellow cab instead, he's in traffic. Are you freaking kidding me!!!!! He totally blew any chance of making my appointment and possibly made so I have to take another half day at work. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! read more

Terrible. Don't use them. Driver refused to give me a receipt or help with bags. Also talked on the phone during ride. A friend of mine and I received a ride yesterday from Hyatt Place Downtown to the Austin Airport from Austin Express, Texas license plate CG3 M075. We loaded our bags into the 6 passenger mini-van with no help from the driver as he was on the phone. Halfway to the airport he ends his phone conversation and informs us that this is a shuttle not a taxi so the fee is $45. Seemed steep for a 20 minute ride with no traffic but we went along with it, partially due to our relief that the driver was no longer on the phone as he drove. Once we arrived at the airport I gave the driver $50, told him to keep the change and that I need a receipt. He said they don't have receipts but they can email one to me. My friend and I removed the bags with no help from the driver until he tried to remove our last bag from the back seat. He couldn't do it because he was on the phone again! Tough to remove a big bag with one hand. So I removed the bag and again asked for a receipt. The driver got back into the car. I asked again fro a receipt and he told me to calm down. I was not raising my voice or using profanity. This whole thing was so unusual (I ride taxis a lot) that I then photographed his license plate and the business sign on his door. The driver then refused to give me a receipt. One of the strangest cab rides I've ever had. Or shuttle ride. Terrible. read more

See the following for the highlights of my terrible experience. If any two of the below are not enough to deter you from using what could quite possibly be the absolute worst service on the planet earth, then may Zeus have mercy on your soul. Cannot emphasize this enough... Do not, under ANY circumstances, ride with this company. Even if you are dying in the middle of the road in the middle of nowhere and a van of theirs drives by, you are better off staying where you are. 1) Manager was nearly TWO hours late vs the agreed upon reservation time 2) Manager sent ONE MINI van instead of the agreed-upon THREE FULL-SIZE vans, leaving HALF of our 16-18 person GROUP STRANDED at a wedding venue 45 minutes from civilization. (We squeezed as many as we could in the van). 3) Didn't have a problem with the driver until it was clear that both he and the manager were lying repeatedly, saying that a second car was on the way. The driver refused to tell us the contact information for his manager for 20 minutes. But when he finally did and we were able to reach the manager, he was in the comfort of his own home. 4) The experience with the lone cab driver that actually showed up continued to worsen, nearly running a red light until the entire car told him to stop 5) Instead of accepting responsibility for endangering the passengers, the driver laughed maniacally the rest of the ride home. 6) At the end of the trip, the driver lied and said they only accepted cash. When we refused, he admitted that credit card would be accepted. 7) Still on pricing, the driver tried to up charge us until we threatened to call the police and he finally lowered his price, and it remains to be seen what will actually be charged. WARNING WARNING WARNING I beg of anyone reading this...DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY I requested this cab company to pick up myself and a group of other friends from a wedding. I normally prefer ride share services, but the venue was outside of the pickup area for all of the ride share services so a cab company was my only hope. I knew it was a bad sign when a "company" answers the phone by saying "cabs". I requested 3 vans and was quoted at $85 per van and confirmed credit card would be accepted. I received a text 1 hour before the scheduled pick up time to confirm the pickup and location. 5 minutes before the scheduled pick up time, I receive a text saying that they just called and I didn't pick up so they aren't going to come anymore. I immediately call them (I was holding my phone the whole time) and say that I received no call and have been waiting for them to arrive. They say they will come and will be there like ~35 minutes. Why did they call me 5 minutes before my scheduled pick up time saying they won't come anymore and then say they are 35 minutes away? That clearly shows they weren't even on the way to get me. Fast forward 25 minutes and I get a call asking how many people were with me. I told them there are 16 of us (which is why I ordered 3 vans because they said 6 people per van). The driver tells me that 1 of the vans can't come so we will have to fit in 2 vans. I'm upset about this because it's already 30 minutes past my scheduled pick up time, and they are just now telling me they don't have enough vans? Ok fine. I have no choice so I just agree to it. Fast forward another 30 minutes (this is about 1 hour after my scheduled pick up time) and only 1 van shows up. I ask him where the other van is and he said it's right around the corner. I load up as many people as possible in the 1st van to send back home, and the driver says the 2nd is almost there. I wait 30 minutes and the 2nd cab never comes. The driver gives me a number to call the 2nd driver, and he never picks up so we are left stranded there. The driver says nothing he can do now so we have to wait for the first car to get home so that our friends can get their cars to pick us up. The first driver dangerously and recklessly gets the first group to the destination (running a red light at a big intersection) and then has the audacity to say it would be $125 CASH because we had more than 6 people in the cab. First of all, you cancelled a cab on me 30 minutes AFTER you were supposed to pick me up. Secondly, I was told credit card would be fine and now you're lying and saying I have to pay you cash? Clearly they were trying to pull a fast one on us so we declined and he tried to negotiate down to $110 with card. We said we will pay the agreed $85 with credit card or will call the police. He quickly agreed and sped off after we paid. This is an extremely long winded review but people need to know how horrible of an experience this was. Judging from the other reviews, this isn't an anomaly so I encourage everyone to avoid this company unless you don't mind getting lied to, cheated, nearly killed, and being left stranded. My girlfriend uses them regularly for work to go to the airport and they're always on time and help with the bags. She's not always on time herself so he happily waits for her as well. On weekends we use them to go out in a large group and we get the same VIP service and even on busy weekends we can be sure we have a safe ride home and they go out of their way to accommodate me and my sometimes "rowdy" friends. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs a reliable airport ride or steady driver as well as those needing a reliable form of transportation elsewhere! read more

My friends and I went out to 6th street back in December. We were picked up and dropped off in Round Rock. Moe was our driver and I thought the service provided was exceptional.
