I have used this service in the past, but when I sent my sister a link so she could book a ride from the Austin airport when she arrives, they quoted her a rate of $106 for basically a 20 minute/15 mile ride. Checked with Uber airport pre-booking and it was $37!!! (on a special, they said regular rate was $46). Same time, same day. When did this shuttle get so crazy high in price? We had an early morning flight from SAT and we cannot rely on Uber as we had 5 people, 7 suitcases and it's near impossible to get an Uber at 2:30am - let alone an XL so we went with this company. Yes it's not cheap and airport parking or Ubers are cheaper but boy it was worth it for the ease and taking stress out of the trip. The driver arrived exactly on time in a nice large Suburban that was clean and cool unlike some ratty Ubers. He helped us with our cases and dropped us curbside. Then he tracked our flight for the return - and was there curbside when we landed at midnight, again ready to help with a lovely AC vehicle after that Texas heat and waters if we needed them. My family is a multiple-time customer of SuperShuttle. The convenience, phone app, and service are extremely easy to use and friendly. When flights are on time, SuperShuttle's service is impeccable. My recent experience also included the experience of what happens when my return flight was not on time--and we were stuck on the runway for multiple hours, thus unable to use my phone on an active runway. What appears like an easy solution isn't so easy. I think the app/Portal does as good of a job as it possibly can by asking for the flight into the local airport to track...but if it is a connecting flight, I think the app/portal should use data and analytics to be able to follow the entire return trip versus just the final leg. The delay I experienced caused me to miss my flight but the original leg was on time and thus SuperShuttle was waiting for me, as they had no reason to not expect my family and me to be there. The short term inconvenience of having to pay for another trip to be able to get home was a bit inconvenient; but the post trip experience helped make up for it. I had the opportunity to speak and interact with Kristi (CEO) and expressed my concern for my experience and she expressed her support of her drivers/contractors along with her empathy for the experience that my family and I endured. It was a very civil discussion and we found common ground and I appreciate a company that understands and prioritizes both their employees experience and their customers experience alike. I recommend SuperShuttle for those families that have more people/luggage than can fit in their standard family car and moves into a second vehicle. I've used Super Shuttle in the past. A LOT. We live about 8 minutes from the Austin airport. Prices have gone up, recently. Like, exponentially up. Used to be cheaper than parking, cheaper than all other options. Now - 8 minute shared ride for two = $90, and that's before tax and tip. I know travel services are struggling to make up for lost profits during the pandemic, but I seem to recall $19 per person. This is price-gouging, plain and simple. Lyft, Uber, or cab-it, folks. I have used Super Shuttle in the past with mixed experiences. For this reservation I set up everything online and it was easy to do so. After arriving at the airport I received a text on where to check-in for my Super Shuttle reservation. The man at the counter was meh, but took care of me and gave me a number and I was told to wait in the lobby. After around 20 minutes my number was up and I was directed to the van. The driver took care of all my luggage and was friendly. The drive to the hotel was done in a very safe manner. After arrival at the hotel the driver again assisted me with my bags. This is one of the better experiences I probably have had with Super Shuttle in any city. What could have occurred to bump to a 5 is more friendly counter service. I am pleased with the service provided. I recommend to others to NOT tip on the automated service for two reasons. First your not sure if the driver is actually getting the tip. Second you are unsure what the service is like, so the tip may be too much, or too little. I am using them again for the return trip to the airport. If an update is warranted I will do so. Easy and reasonable service compared to a taxi that would have been twice the cost. read more

You won't believe this. Super shuttle requested to put two large bags, and two small bags into Chrysler 300 and maybe on of my bags in the front seat of the car for the same price. Are you serious?! The driver continued to persuade me that it would fit and it would be fine. I politely told them no and I rather have the van that I paid for. After I got the van, the driver did not greet me, did not have a Super Shuttle uniform or at least have a shirt with logo on it. Did not speak at alI and I to provide some of the directions. I truly feel they need to work on customer service and not just doing a service. Super Shuttle has gotten too expensive for this short trips to & from the airport and terrible customer service. read more

***UPDATE*** I received a response for President/GM Billy Carter, who was truly apologetic for our experience. He refunded us the money we spent on the cabs as well as what we paid Super Shuttle. I appreciate the fact that he owned it and more than made it right. I called dispatch and he said they didn't have a van for us and that he was going to set up a Yellow cab for us. He asked if we could all squeeze into on cab and that maybe my daughter could sit on my lap. He did set up the cabs, but we got to pay for them. So, we paid super shuttle and yellow cab for rides but only yellow cab delivered. They have not answered emails. The local dispatcher said that I would automatically get a refund in 3-5 days. We've used SuperShuttle services several times in the past for early morning or late arrival transfers to the airport. Unfortunately, our most recent experience Oct 9, 2021 left us in a lurch. After pre-booking and pre-paying for a private airport transfer with a 4am pick up time for an international flight, no shuttle/driver ever showed up! By 4:05am we had called the after-hours dispatch line 5+ times to find out what happened, but no one ever answered. We were left scrambling to find an alternative ride to the airport! I finally received a call from someone at 4:15am who reported that our driver failed to show up for work. The caller asked if dispatch had let us know - which, obviously, NO, they hadn't or we would have cancelled the service. The caller offered to pick us up at our home "in about 45 minutes" - but obviously we would have been late for our international flight if we had waited that long. I asked the caller to process a refund since we pre-paid. Unfortunately, its now two plus weeks later and no refund has occured. I've been charged over $90 for a ride we weren't provided with, and an extremely stressful start to our vacation. I understand its been a very difficult time for businesses to sufficient employees, but the lack of communication from dispatch and the irritation of chasing up a refund for a service that wasn't provided is just poor quality customer service. read more

Arrived from a cross country flight and went to Super Shuttle counter; had to wait 10 minutes because the guy named Jose was on the phone and would not even acknowledge me. Finally, when I ask can I get my ride, he says we don't have a any cars. I said I reserved, paid and have a confirmation number. He said, wait maybe in 30 minutes we get a car. I asked him if he was kidding and with an attitude he says just wait. I walked away and grabbed a taxi and paid less to get to my destination. Didn't use SuperShuttle since the early 90's. Surprised to see how much better it is than before. I received a text about 12 hours out and again as the ride was on the way. The text told me the drivers name and van number. When I arrived at the airport there was a desk for me to check in at and a person who called out us when our rides were at the curb. The website said it would be $93 round trip. After 30 minutes of wasting my time filling out information on the website, the final fee was $146 round trip. They added lots of fees which is fine if your company is paying for it. If not, Do your research. I found out Uber Was $74 round-trip. If I could give 0 stars I would. We had made reservations ahead of time & they knew we had a late flight into Austin. There were 3 shuttles that wouldn't take us as Super Shuttle hadn't given us a Driver's number yet despite the fact I checked in on line. We arrived at Super Shuttle at 12:30am anticipating our ride and had to wait until after 1:30am to actually get it. Our driver was very nice but started to take us to the wrong La Quinta thus prolonging our experience. He was very apologetic but he can't control dispatch who didn't seem to care. I'm on the shuttle. I only waited 10 minutes after retrieving my bag. The driver, Sean, is very courteous and polite. He made every one feel comfortable and relaxed. There are only four passengers in the shuttle. We greeted each other immediately. It feels like you're riding with friends. My only recommendation is about the agent behind the counter at the airport. He seemed bored and disconnected. I guess I can understand why, as it wasn't very busy. I always book a shared-ride Supershuttle as my aiport transport. It's one of the lowest priced options around, and for years it has been reliable and on time, and you'll appreciate having someone drive you home when you are so jetlagged you can't see straight. I use the shuttle for trips more than 5 or 6 days long as it's more cost-effective than parking. The only downsides are that it may take you a little longer to get to the airport if other passengers are traveling (average maybe 10-15 minutes?) and the van ride is REALLY really bumpy. You're not traveling in comfort here, but it'll be adequate for most. I've always felt safe using Supershuttle. They advertise their counters are open 24/7 but if you arrive late at night, only the computer kiosk will be open...but don't worry, the driver will still be there. read more

I have been using Super Shuttle for over 10 years and have found their service adequate. I make a reservation, land and have the vehicle ready at the airport. Pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, the level of service has really gone downhill. I am not sure if it's because of competition from Uber/Lyft, but the last reservation I made, I ended up waiting for over an hour to get a ride. To be fair, my flight was delayed (I told SS what my flight info was, so they knew it was delayed) and arrived at 1:30am. Regardless, I had paid for the reservation with my card. I checked in through SMS after having picked up my luggage. After 10 minutes without an update, I called the number and spoke to Marcus. He told me that my reservation guaranteed me a seat but didn't guarantee me a vehicle?! What? He then told a vehicle would be ready in 30-35 minutes. Well, over an hour later, I called back, and he changes his from 30-35 minutes to up to an hour. I asked him why I was not told the wait was going to be an hour. Instead of answering a simple question, he just doesn't say anything...I asked him can you answer my question...at that point, he says, I don't understand your question. Good job at deflection. The final straw was when I can hear him chuckling on the phone. I told him it isn't a funny situation when someone has made a reservation and expects to have a vehicle ready in a timely manner. It wasn't as if I just made the reservation when I landed. The reservation was made over 4 hours earlier. Nevertheless, I ended up using Uber. I tried canceling through the SS App and was unable to. I tried calling to verbally cancel and was put on hold. Finally, Marcus called back and said the driver is waiting for you and I told him I decided to use Uber. I called the main number the next day to talk with the manager (Robert Lopez) - Tim answered. I explained the situation to Tim. Tim promised to discuss it with Robert and call me back. No call backs. I cannot recommend Super Shuttle. I will not be using Super Shuttle for any transportation needs and have deleted the app from my phone. read more

Been using SuperShuttle in Austin for the last five years worth of visits to the city. Out of the 15 plus times I have used the service, only once I have experienced a semi late arrival, but it was only 12 minutes late and I easily was aware of it due to texts and watching the vehicle on the app. All of the drivers have been good, some better than others and the vehicles for the most part are pretty clean. As for the price, hard to beat for the shared service, but cannot comment on the solo ride, but usually takes around 45 minutes worth of pickups and or drop offs to get to and from the airport. Will continue using this particular service in Austin as it much better than SuperShuttles at other airports around the US. read more

Supershuttle was recommended by the conference organizers for a conference I attended in July. This was my first experience with Supershuttle and had no idea what to expect. The reservation process was easy. I did everything online. When my flight touched down in Austin, I already had a text from the company asking me to check in via my phone after I picked up my luggage. After I checked in, I received a text of my van number and that is was ready. Found it easily and within a few minutes, I was on my way to my hotel. The day before my return flight, I received a text to remind me about my shuttle. The next day I received confirmation of the van number and approx arrival time. At first, I was hesitant to book a ride but I had to get to the airport very early. The call to them was short, they asked questions about my flights and billing perference then done. An hour or so later, they called my cell to verify my confirmation. Early in the morning, while finishing the last minute check of my luggage, my cell rings. It is Super Shuttle telling me the driver will be at my house in 7 minutes. They didn't forget about me, Yeah!!!! Coming home was even easier. After arriving, I went to the baggage claim area and found them with the rental cars. Gave them my confirmation and they directed me to wait at the black seats. Ten minutes later, the driver arrived and took my luggage to load it. Both trips, I shared a ride with only one other person. I chose to have the tip added to my bill when I booked so no exchange of money. The drivers were friendly and pleasant. They drove quickly but carefully. The seats were comfortable. Twice I've travelled to Austin and taken a super shuttle to and from the airport. I was disappointed the first time, but it's a cheap ride so I tried again. This time I barely made my flight. They give a 15 min reservation window and the first time showed up at the very end. This time my pickup was at 10:30am. I assumed they'd arrive at 10:45. They did, I got on the shuttle, and then the driver told me we were waiting on other passengers that needed to be picked up at 11:05! They got in at 11:15! I left 30-45 minutes later than expected. I haven't used SuperShuttle in years. I can't believe how affordable this type of service is. Door to door service for only $80.00 round trip and that includes gratitude that the company automatically deducts. However, in the SuperShuttle van it's a sign that states gratitude is not included in the amount, which I don't understand. I live north Austin so I'm sure the rate/amount will depend on your pick up location. I was picked up from my home in a regular car, but dropped off in a SuperShuttle van. We used the private car service for transport from the airport to home at 7 am, so there was some rush hour traffic happening. The driver was going 90+ miles/hr on the 130 toll road, weaving in and out of traffic like he was driving a sports car. Once off the toll road, he ran a red light and was going over the posted speed limit. My spouse told him that law enforcement in that area was known to give out a lot of tickets (hoping the dude would slow down). The guy said he knew that because he had gotten a couple of tickets. As we entered our neighborhood, he was going well above the speed limit and didn't even slow down when he made the turn onto our short cul de sac. We went flying around that corner. Thankfully at that time of the morning, no children were out of on the street. He told us that he had a 7:30 pickup in Cedar Park and he was worried about making it in time. I was worried about making it out alive from his car. It was a very expensive ride home after a very long trip. Wow, this turned out to be a shinig example of how SuperShuttle should work! Got off the plane, Yelped transport options from Bergstrom and low and behold there is SS with a 10% off deal on Yelp. I logged in, bought a seat and literally walked up to the counter with my confirmation number and on to the van within two minutes... $14 to downtown...it was quick and easy and saved me a couple of bucks...the driver cracked me up too...he kept commenting on the weird folks like they are something unusual in Austin, the city of "keeping it weird"! I have used Super Shuttle in the pass with mixed results. I usually have used the budget friendly option where you share a ride. When you are not pressed for time it's a good option, but it's a gamble on whether things could go right or wrong. One time I was even left waiting and had to drive myself to the airport. My wife and I decided to do the personal ride this time after a long flight home and what a difference. We got John Cates and he was outstanding, both as a driver and a person. His car was super clean, he was incredibly friendly and an amazing professional. I just might stick to using his service from now on to make sure I get an incredible ride each time. I used this service for the first time today. It was easy to book online, and when I landed, received a text message that notified me I was able to check in while waiting to exit the plane. Once we arrived at the kiosk, we just took a seat, and waited for them to call our number. It took about 20 minutes, but hey, we had planned a little longer wait so it was nbd. For the rate of $44 for 4 people, it was a bargain compared to paying to park at the airport. The van that was used to transport us was clean, and new looking (we scored one of the black vans). The a/c was cooling and it was a very comfortable ride. Our driver was polite and it was a safe ride. I would definitely recommend this company and I will use them again if needed. read more

Had the Ride From Hell very early Thursday morning. The ride left at 12:45 am with 7 people. I didn't get home til 3:15 and there were two people left after me! Why? Total screw up by routing. The route had the driver take a one hour leg to way South Austin in the middle of a North Austin route. I questioned driver as we were going south on mopac but was told the route was fixed. So from 183/Great Hills Trails we went down mopac to Slaughter / Brodie. Then all the way up 360 up to 183 again. Driver didn't look at overall route before leaving airport. No phone number on the receipt to call. Corporate number said they were closed. I felt trapped on a roller coaster with no way to get off. Never again!!!!! read more

I left Austin Bergstrom at 6am on a Tuesday morning so I decided it would be best to take an airport shuttle and I went with SuperShuttle. The price was $27 from North Austin because I booked by phone. I believe it would have been $24 if I used the app. They wanted to pick me up at 3:40am which I felt was excessively early so we settled on 4:15am. The shuttle pulled up promptly at 4:15am. At 4:50am I was sitting down at my departure gate at the airport already there, bag checked, through TSA, etc. Positive experience and I would recommend. read more

The woman beside me waited 90 minutes despite their advertised "typical 10 minute wait." The wait would have been OK if they would have told me. I made a round trip reservation on 4/28 for my flights on 5/15 and returning 5/16. Both drivers were great. No issues there. (5 stars for them both) My problem was having to wait over 30 minutes for the ride home. They do not understand the concept of RESERVATION. Reservations mean NOTHING on your trip home! My plane arrived on time and I checked in immediately online after getting my baggage (from the link they sent to my phone when I landed). When I arrived in Austin, I had an amazing experience. I got upgraded to the more expensive "black" shuttle and the guy was an amazing host. So why is this review negative? Upon leaving, taking my return trip to the airport, I was harassed by a driver for not taking a shuttle 3 hours before my flight. He saw me in a hotel lobby sitting next to another person waiting for a ride and asked if I was getting a ride. I said yeah but it's later. He said I could come now. I said no that's ok thanks. I booked the shuttle for my 3 adult kids since their flight wasn't coming in till 1am and my sister lives an 1 1/2 from the airport. The driver fell asleep while driving running off the road and almost hitting a sign. They also said he was watching Youtube basketball while driving causing him to cross the white line several times. It happened again. The driver shows up at my door fifteen min before the start of the pickup window. He is a gargantuan man, ominously mustachioed. "You're fifteen minutes early. I'm not ready." He gives me a 5-second incredulous stare, as though my words are gibberish. "I'll be waiting in the van. Down yonder." I finish breakfast and meet him in the van, down yonder. As he drives, I worry about his health, or, more accurately, his present physical condition. He coughs in tremendous fits that are simultaneously seizure-like in their manic intensity and seismic with power. He looks pale and not altogether well, and I mean even apart from his seizure-coughs (which strike like random Richter-events, unpredictably, and therefore extra terrifyingly). So I'm kind of watching him out of the corner of my eye, waiting for a coronary, which obviously just has to be imminent, and I'm also kind of chatting with the girl who's going to Dallas to visit some kids she loves, nanny-wise, and she want to be a teacher which is nice. But mostly I'm just watching the driver, waiting for him to die and for his gargantuan foot to become lead and for the nanny-girl to start screaming while this little blue van takes us to oblivion. Lesson learned: Supershuttle service varies VASTLY between cities. For example, I will NEVER again take Supershuttle in San Francisco...but will ALWAYS take it in Austin. It's just....somuchbetter. I knew my friends would scoff (and probably resent me) for asking for a ride to the airport at 4am*, so I decided that Super Shuttle would be the way to go (after a non-Yelping friend used them a couple months prior). It cost about the same for a ride to the airport from my apartment as it does for a cab from downtown... so they're more than reasonably priced. Even though it was POURING rain (the one time it actually rained last summer, if anyone remembers), the driver arrived just a minute or so after my designated pick up time. She was a friendly lady with a, perhaps, German accent and I was surprised that I wasn't the only person that needed a ride to the airport before the asscrack of dawn, though I was her first stop. As we made the rounds, a couple people were irritated by her promptness, some of them even making us wait 10 minutes or so. Once everyone was piled in the van, it really didn't take too long to get to the airport. I had plenty of time to get through security and grab a breakfast taco and a nap before my 6:08* flight. I've been using Supershuttle for the past five years and it has never let me down. Some people might have stories, but these guys haul ass and will get you to the airport ON TIME. Where else can you get a ride from your front door to the terminal for around $20? Sure, when you have a morning flight they sometimes arrive early, honking from the street while you're still in the shower, and then when you hop in everyone is staring at you as if you kept them waiting. DUDE, it's 7:55! I'm totally on time! You jerks are early. I strangely like those groggy morning rides to the airport in the big blue van with a coffee and ipod -- it's always a prelude to a big trip or vacation. What's even better is taking a supershuttle back to your place after you return from a trip.... usually in the evening with just a few other people in the van, sometimes chit-chatting about how much better the weather was wherever you went, but how it feels good to be back home. read more

Taking Supershuttle is really the best value for your money if you are staying downtown. $13 is cheap - especially if you figure in that if you take a cab, they'll charge you extra while you wait in traffic. I didn't read my confirmation and went out to the curb to catch the shuttle - no, idiot, you are supposed to go to the counter and check in and they call your number all orderly so they can group you by area. That is nice. I hate taking a shuttle and having to drive all around town to get to my hotel. Getting picked up is a breeze as well - the driver came into the lobby to look for me. The price is great, the vans were great, and the drivers were courteous. The only potential glitch was that on my return flight to the airport, the driver arrived a good 20 min earlier than the stated window. It wasn't a problem for me and I received advance notice but if I had had other plans it might have been a problem. Scheduling the ride in advance was very easy online, with great communications for confirmation and status on the pickup. They also provide a way to call the driver from the app. Overall, excellent experience! read more
