Who doesn't want to do some flying trapeze in Vegas with a bunch of professionals? Yes, you do - it's so much fun! The class for flying trapeze is 90 minutes, and there were 5 people in it when I went. There are 3 folks on staff, and they are all highly experienced, helpful, friendly and focused. You won't have any concerns about safety. They will walk you through all the things you need to know. I've done quite a bit of flying trapeze, but I'm not super amazing by any measure. This place made me feel better than I thought I was. They literally helped me work on problems I didn't know how to resolve. In addition, in one class, they helped me work on a trick that I had briefly tried. By the end of class, it was pretty darn good and was caught twice. To me, that's talent from the professionals working here, all working hard to cater to each individual student to yield them the best experience possible. It was a surprisingly productive and helpful experience, and I would go back here in a heartbeat for the helpfulness and talent that the staff have. The one sort of bad thing I can say is that Vegas is hot, but flying here at night isn't so bad. It's still toasty, but, it's worth it! I cannot wait to go back to Vegas in order to drop in here AGAIN. If I can help it, I would go multiple times! I always enjoyed swinging as a kid and always wanted to be on stage when I would watch a Cirque show. This experience did not disappoint I've been class V white water kayaking (and rafting), zip lining over rain forest in Costa Rica, hang gliding in NC, indoor skydiving, etc This was THE MOST FUN I have ever had. And I want to go back ASAP. Stephan is a great instructor and fun and funny. They teach you well and make you be successful and safe. Shout out to Khan who was on the platform with me. Hands down the coolest experience in Vegas! Stephan and his team were incredible. My kids, ages 9 and 12, took a one hour class. There were 3-4 other adult students. We went well over the one hour time slot. My daughter is a cheerleader/gymnast, so of course she loved it and caught on fast. My son was a little more apprehensive, but by the end of the lesson, he loved it too. The instructors were very patient and understanding. They pushed but still made it fun! Two people who were practicing/helping are currently in Mystere at Treasure Island and the other performing at Rio. They were warm and friendly. That made it seem authentic to my kids! The prices were great, actually a bargain for Vegas activities. A quick 10 min drive/ Uber ride off of The Strip. Highly suggest. Thanks Stephan and crew for a wonderful time! I'm always looking for new things to do and came across Trapeze Las Vegas and knew I wanted to try. This is on my top 5 best experiences I've had on vacation. We purchased our tickets through Groupon $70 for 90 minute trapeze session for 2 people. Anyone can do this as long as you are able to climb a 25 ft ladder and hold your own weight. You want to wear tight fitting clothes and socks. I didn't have socks but they were prepared for me. After meeting everyone Rene, Tanya and Charlie and getting stripped up with a harness, we got a quick demo of a knee hang. Took turns practicing a couple times on a stationary bar and up the ladder we go. The instructors were there to physically and mentally support us. They were patient and encouraging; Especially for someone like me, who's not a fan of heights. That 1st leap off the platform was but wasn't what I expected. To be able to swing and flip was awesome! After 3 attempts of a knee hang swing and flips, we moved on to the catch. This is where you swing, get into a knee hang and allow another swinger to catch you in mid air. Didn't think I was going to get it. Had tried twice and at this point I was exhausted, hands were burning, heart pounding but third time was the charm! Super proud of myself! This is definitely a workout, from climbing the 25 ft ladder 6 times, holding onto a bar (felt like 20 lbs more on top of my 1 hundred and *cough cough* lbs) while swinging. Use as much chalk not to get blisters on your hands, I waked away with red blisters and 2 days later; sore muscles in my abs, arms and legs. Definitely worth it! At the end of the day... Yes, I would go back and highly recommend you try it for yourself! read more

Have you wanted to explore your deeply hidden secretly fantastic trapeze skills? This is the place to do it. Grab the Groupon and prepare to climb, jump, fall, twist, and flip for a few hours with a good group of other very random people. As a self-proclaimed "trapeze enthusiast in spirit", I fully expected half the class to be training, and the other half to be attempts to remember our training, getting up to swing once or twice. Call it a day, reflect on how poorly / awesome we did, and grab drinks back at the hotel. This was...not the case. After 5 solid minutes of training (hold the bar, try and swing, try and tuck and flip once or twice) we were climbing the ladder up to the platform, and were fully expected to just jump off and try to be amazing. Well, the learning-by-doing concept worked for most of us. We had a class of 12 or so people, and they harnessed us up, put us in an order, and...we were jumping. The first few times...jump off, try and get your legs up and under. The next few times...do the same thing, but then let go, look backwards, lift back up, jump off. Maybe you flipped off at the end. Maybe you just let go. Either way, you are harnessed in with a net below, so even if you decided to completely let go mid-swing, you would land very bouncy-bouncy and safe-like, eager to try it again. The skill level of our class varied, there were a few residents of Vegas that were regulars and were practicing trapeze on a completely different level than we were. Novice or pro - doesn't matter. The instructors will assess your skill level and provide the very encouraging guidance you need to get better with each swing. They were fantastic the whole time - I think we went an extra 45 minutes just because we were having that much fun. Even when you completely suck (you'll know it when you do it), they will provide fully positive and encouraging feedback. Each swing was captured on camera, so they could review your swing and show you what you did well and where you went wrong. Even with a class of 12, I was able to get up there 5 or 6 times. The grand finale was the perfect execution of your swing, leg curl, and swing backwards to coincide with an instructor on another bar, ready to grab your hands a-la professional style, wherein you let go, and get swung around a little under their control before you drop. Not everyone got there, i'd say about 70% of our class executed it. I don't mind saying I wasn't one of them, I just didn't get my legs up in time. It happens. This is why there are more visits to Vegas, more Groupons, and more attempts at trapeze mastery. read more

This was a great and amazing experience! I would recommend trying this at least once! But I am definitely going back again! Don't judge a book by it's cover. When you first pull up to the entrance, it looks a little bit iffy. Trust me you will want to go in!! The instructor Stefan is so great! He takes you first to a practice bar to show you how to get your legs up and hang upside down. Then we got 5 attempts or swings on the high trapeze bar. Incredible!!! The staff was friendly and joking the whole time, making us feel really welcome. After our turns on the trapeze, we would get constructive feedback on how to improve for our next turn. My girlfriend was much better at it then I was, but they made the experience individualized, telling her how to do more advanced maneuvers while I stuck to the more basic ones. What an awesome experience! We booked last minute via email, Tanya quickly replied that they didn't have any spots the next day but invited us to come that night and fly at a discount as compensation. It couldn't have worked out better, there were only a total of 5 of us at the Friday night 6pm class so we got in lots of turns. Their facility was in a residential neighborhood but the entrance was clearly marked so it was easy to find, and only a 10 minute cab ride from the Mandalay Bay. It was my third time on the flying trapeze and my friends first. She was really scared and Stephan and his team were very sensitive to her and by the end of the class she got to her knee hang with hands off! Keith, Matt, and Stephan were fantastic teachers and with their help I was able to get my set split complete with a catch- see pictures! The class ran 90 minutes and at the end we were lucky enough to fly with a beautiful sunset over the mountains as our backdrop. We had such a fantastic time we recommended this place to everyone we talked to for the rest of our trip! It will definitely be returning on my next trip to Vegas! read more

If you ever wanted to do something similar to the randomly cool activities they used to have couples do on the tv show, Blind Date, this would definitely be one of them. It was my first time and I went on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon in a small group of only 3 "acrobats". A session is usually 1.5hrs but since the class was small, I felt like a revolving penguin on that child's toy (with the stairs and the slide) and truly got all the practice I wanted in an hour's time; running up the ladder, swinging around and dropping to the cargo net. What a blast it was. For the first 5 minutes they instruct you on basic leg hanging moves. Once you get that down, the next 20-30 minutes you are practicing getting comfortable swinging high over the cargo net and getting your moves fluid; legs up, hands out, etc... After the instructors think your comfort level is there, they'll have you practice doing a pass from the bar you are swinging on over to another coaches bar where he catches you while he's hanging upside down. I was able to do about 2-3 successful passes out of at least a half dozen attempts and really felt comfortable at the end of the session. Aside from the awesome fun, the real stars at this attraction were the staff. Tanya, Keith and Rene could not have been more fun, patient, friendly and professional. Their passion is obvious and their guidance was spot on. They truly helped make it a great time. If you are fortunate enough to find this activity here in Vegas, don't hesitate to sign up and do something totally outrageous. read more

Amazing! I was that person who got to the top and panicked because of my fear of heights once there. The staff was amazing, because they all contributed to me making the jump and even the catch! It was insane, life changing... and because I am someone who is so scared of heights, it made me so proud that I even tried it... let alone succeed! I'm just posting another 5* review for this company! We took our 17yo son and he had a blast - he was able to to a back flip the first time out and did 3 hand offs by the end. The instructor was patient, he gave very clear instructions and he had a great sense of humor as well! The staff were also awesome and obviously very experienced. It's super safe and lots of fun. I would recommend that you wear tight leggings of some sort because the swinging bar has texture on it and the back of my son's legs were getting a bit sore toward the end - this could have been avoided if we'd planned better. One more thing - the trapeze is set up outside, not IN the building so if you're at this location, be sure to go around the building, to the right, not IN the building. There's also plenty of covered seating for parents and other spectators so even though it was a hot day, we were fine. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun this was! First off, the experience: The lessons are held outside the Sports Center and there are many different types of trapeze activities you can do. I had the very dynamic and fun trio of Keith, Stephanie, and Chris (who also performs as one of the bad guys in the Cirque Du Soleil show 'KA'). This team is fun, witty, and patient. If you don't have a good time with them, most likely there is something wrong with you. Instruction goes by at a fast pace, but nothing overly complicated. They adjust to your skill level and give you personalized instruction after each run. They are very focused on getting you the most runs possible for your time as long as you can understand and perform what they say. Now the lesson: It was my first time trying trapeze lessons so I was a total greenpea. But with the team's instruction, I was able to get my knee hanging and double backflip dismounts with no problem as well as catching a partner. The instructor will yell instructions to you step by step. Just do what they say and everything will fall into place. That simple. I paid $40 for 1.5 hours and it was worth every penny. Amazing experience and I want to get more advanced with this! read more

Wow! This is one of those things you have to experience in your life. I went with a group of 6 (one of our friends is a regular here) and it was fantastic! Don't be alarmed when your GPS takes you to a house. This property belongs to the owners but they've turned the huge outdoor lot into a trapeze training environment. Put your apprehensions aside and go forth because this'll be one of the most fun experiences you'll ever have! Our trainer, Stefan, along with the rest of the team, are real pros at trapeze and have made it their life's work. You're in good hands as they are professional, fun, and encouraging. Initially you will practice on the ground as each person in your group takes a turn. Then, you'll give it a shot up in the air. The ladder is small and thin but it's sturdy and it does the job. They rotate through each person - in this class we went around 5 times (5 cracks at it for each person) and were there for about 2.5 hours. If you have a fear of heights, all I can say is clear your mind and allow your body and mind to enjoy an exhilarating experience. I know that's easier said than done - I would imagine, in phobia-land, it's a lot like asking me to go into a room filled with insects and rodents. Nothing good can come of that, though, but you WILL enjoy trapeze if you can coax yourself out of your comfort zone. Also, the thrill and pride you feel when you improve and even succeed at the task at hand is enough of a reward! Some tips: bring water - you're outdoors in the desert. When you're practicing, you won't have the harness on and will be completely upside down. Men, that may mean nothing to you but, ladies, boobs are not a part of this show... at least not yet. (Sounds like they're working on that, though, so naked trapeze may not be too far off). You might want to consider wearing a tight-fitted shirt that won't drop down. Spandex just may be your friend. Wear flip flops. You'll be taking your shoes off anyway. And lastly, just allow yourself to have fun. Happy flying! read more

Taking this trapeze class was the highlight of my Vegas trip. How many people can say they have trapezed (making up my own verb) before? Instructors are so funny, nice, and very competent! It's very safe because you are always connected to safety ropes. The only some-what difficult part is the take-off but the instructors are always there to guide you and encourage you through it all. Tip to finding this place: It's at the corner of W Capovilla Ave and S Valley View Bl so park on Capovilla on the dirt path. You will see the trapeze so even though there's no address or clear signage upfront, you'll know you're in the right place. I HIGHLY recommend it. Have Fun! read more

Definitely worth going at least once, if not multiple times. I'm planning on going every time I'm in Vegas so I can work my way onto more advanced moves. There was someone in the class who was experienced and was doing cooler moves! Even as a newcomer, you learn to do backflips from the trapeze, hang from your knees, and do a hand-off in mid-air. The instructors were also really great and funny! For anyone hesitant to try it out, it's definitely worth the time and money to do so! It's not something most people ever think about doing, but will be a lasting memory, and possibly a new hobby/sport! Then you can join Cirque du Soleil! This was my birthday trip and Trapeze was one of the major highlights. The operation was extremely safe (we were always hooked into safety ropes), Lisa, Bruce and Eric were very good instructors and obvious professionals. Besides that, they cared that everyone does their best and even if you are not crazy athletic they tried hard to get you to "fly". I had such a great time, I will definitely go back when in Vegas.
