We were traveling to an all inclusive during the holidays and she didn't even recommend reservations to a New Years eve celebration. We weren't able to attend the celebration dinner. She also didn't communicate our hotel transportation situation and we were close to missing our ride to the airport from the hotel going home. This was for a destination wedding and so many of the guests of the bride and groom complained about her lack of service. The bride and groom regret using Janet and I suggest you steer clear too! Horrible!

Janet was SO helpful - she helped recommend hotels based on her personal experience and our preferences and saved us $200 per person off any internet deal I could find! Then she recommended things to do in the area. Her follow up was superb, she made things so easy for us, and she follows up periodically with other ideas and locations based on our travel preferences. It was completely worthwhile! I highly recommend North Star Travel and look forward to working with her again in the future!

Despite repeated confirmations that the limo company was going to deliver what we requested, WHEN THEY SHOWED UP, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT WAS PROMISED. AND THEY CHARGED US $300 MORE OR THE DRIVER SAID HE WOULD WALK!!! We are so upset we are bringing litigation against this company. It was an absolute nightmare. We ordered their Escalade and specifically went with this company - that had an Escalade - because we didn't want a Hummer. They brought a hummer. We ordered alcohol. None came. We ordered soft drinks. None came. We ordered the "wedding package." That did not arrive either - big surprise there. And the limo driver wanted paid - BEFORE HE DID ANYTHING - $300 more than we contracted for. My response (as I'm waiting for my wife to arrive at the church - in the limo) was to call the company. They would do nothing. They wouldn't even let me talk to the owner. When I called back a second time, they stopped answering their phone. Amazingly poor service topped with fraudulent claims and representations make this easily one of the most crooked companies I have dealt with in years. I will do everything I can to make sure the Chicago area knows about this company.

I told her neither person who could pay would be available to pay upon pickup but that we would be available when our CLIENTS were dropped off. They agreed. When our clients were dropped off, we went downstairs to pay and the limo driver , but he was gone. They had my cell, so I figured we could hear from the driver and pay over the phone. I never heard from the driver. Upon returning our CLIENTS to their destination, the driver asked OUR CLIENTS when the bill would be paid. Our clients had to offer to pay him. It wasn't until one of our clients called me and passed the phone to the driver to clarify the payment situation. Which was handled immediately. It gets better... I called the limo service to inquire about this situation and I dealt with someone who 1) yelled at me and 2) hung up on me after I told her to stop yelling at me, the client. When I called back, several times, they didn't pick up. To advise this terrible service I would recommend: 1) communicating with your drivers about when they will be paid and being available when the payment is ready 2) calling the client on the number provided prior to asking those in the limo who is going to pay 3) NEVER EVER EVER hang up on a patron after that patron has spent $420 on your service. It's too bad they are such a horrible service because we hire limos in Chicago 1-2 x per week. That's a significant amount of business they have chosen to forfeit.

It is a well lit, enclosed shelter with some wooden seats for inclement weather with a few uncovered benches outside. There are rest rooms but no ATM, ticket office, or vending inside. There is a guide to local Antioch businesses posted on the wall. There is no air conditioning in the station during summer and no way that I saw to open windows for fresh air. There is a large commuter lot with adequate parking adjoining the station; parking is $1.50 per day, cash only. North of the station there is a strip mall with, among other businesses, a tavern. There is a small bicycle rack to the west of the station. There are no bicycle shelters available and it is suggested that you bring your own lock/security device when using the racks. There is also a coin operated phone and newspaper vending on the west side of the station. Called and the dispatcher said there was nothing he could do as it was a Sunday and we should call back on Monday . When we pushed to have someone look into this the dispatcher hung up on us . Later then owner called us and said she looked into it and told us they did try to charge our account because our last name was similar to another customer . Then she continued to read off the other customer's credit card number to us . Obviously security for your credit cards on file is zero . Owner kept saying it was ok because our card was denied because of security on our card . Wouldn't trust this company and will never use lake cook limo again

Had a change of plans ONCE and when I cancelled, was hung up on. When I called back and asked if we were accidentally disconnected, she said no, read me the riot act AND HUNG UP AGAIN! Sorry to burst your bubble lady, but when your website says that you have your vehicles stationed at O'Hare, that means that there is some inherent flexibility to this whole pickup from the airport deal, at least ONCE. No need to get fresh with your customers. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. Sorry to ruin your night.
