I'm planning a last minute trip to the East Coast. I emailed the Travel House last night with a flexible two week date range, my parameters (I wanted to go to Boston, NYC and have to go to NJ for a wedding) and my budget. Bob got back to me first thing this morning and said he'd work on it. True to his word this afternoon I received an email from him with the most affordable combination of flights for my trip. He indicated he's familiar with the area and he would be happy to advise us on lodging. I'm excited and cannot wait to hear what he comes up with for the hotel & a tour of NYC. If things continue as they're going right now, I've just found myself a new travel agent!! And he's found himself a client who enjoys traveling. :) read more

Pit toilets at the main lot, 2-2.25 mile trail for staircase rapids loop - very kid friendly and a good distance for 4-6 yr olds (or younger with parent help). Kids liked throwing rocks in the stream after and relaxing by the water. Interesting trail post fire scenery. Rangers around if you have any questions.

Gorgeous location! On waterfront of the Hood Canal waters and apparently a spot to get oysters. See…read morephotos of all the shells. I was here for a day visit, NOT camping, lol, so my review is focused on this park's day use areas. Parking was extremely limited in my opinion. Maybe there is another parking lot across the street (?). I read about an overflow lot in another review but on my visit it was fairly empty so I was able to park in the main lot. The regular bathrooms are closed and they have portable bathrooms available. This park has limited to no shady areas. A few picnic tables under a forested area but not sure if they were camp sites. Walking on the shoreline was amazing! So peaceful and relaxing and I was able to put my feet in the water. It was so cold! I also took the opportunity to sit at a bench and "ground" myself in the grass. Super gorgeous and felt amazing to be here. The Hood Canal waters are stunning. Get out there and enjoy life! SYOY!

The campsites design is terrible. Roots under tent spots make use difficult. In my visit in August…read more2025, I saw the campgrounds empty despite the website showing all sites as booked. Then, rangers tried to frame me for stealing the toilet paper in the night. I had brought my own, so was not without.

I am quite proud to be Bob's 2nd 5 star review on yelp!!! (One 5 star is good, but two is better!!!) :D I was doing some research for my stressed sis for a complicated trip she will be taking this fall with her two babies and hubby. They are traveling internationally and have a multi-destinational trip; clearly they will be needing the help of a good travel agent! Thanks to yelp, I found Bob. He was helpful, quick to reply, and very very nice. Not to mention he had better prices than everyone else I called, which says a lot considering I researched quite a few other agents, including a bunch in Seattle. My sister is working with Bob now, and says she is very very pleased with his help. She told me he works around her schedule, even working into the evenings, to make sure they get the job done.
