If I use a travel agent with Disney, they even book my dining reservations for me too and give me so much more advice and help than Getaway Today. Get Away doesn't do that at all. Getaway also charges you NON-REFUNDABLE fees to make payments and to protect my hotel and ticket packages. Disney lets me do both of those for free!! They were able to save me $600 by not using Getaway Today. And if I need to change dates or hotels, Disney doesn't charge me a penny to so. I can only do that if I pay extra fees with Getaway. If you're looking for a reliable place to book your vacation, Getaway is NOT the place!! I have been living in denial for many years by using these money grabbing agents!! And they claim to be a small business. Yeah, count their mansions in Utah. Far from supporting a small business. Use an Authorized Disney Vacation planner with Disney and that is actually supporting a small business! They will take way better care than these crazy people that do nothing for you but steal your money.

I've already forgotten the girls name, but the long blonde haired lady receptionist and the long haired blonde girl Erica, at the first desk, . I think, I'm terrible with names ,we're so nice and accommodating.! They gave me a lot of information on what I was thinking about , the different ships , the destinations, the prices, you name it. This young lady was so helpful.! When I told her I wasn't sure where or when I was going, she was darling, gave me a booklet on different cruise lines and was very very helpful! I was a little worried about this since I am not LDS. I Believe there were more non LDS travelers than LDS. Those who were did not mind that I had a glass of wine at dinner and were very friendly and inclusive. The tour was slower paced than tours I've taken with other companies. Also the only meals included were hotel breakfasts. Sometimes eating other meals was challenging due to location. I think the our good have been better organized and something's omitted and others added. The price is very reasonable but I don't feel you get as much compared to other companies. I would travel with them again but carefully review the itinerary and make sure I had snacks with me.

However, there is a significant aspect of the tour's social environment that prospective solo travelers should be aware of. While not advertised as a faith-based tour, my group was almost entirely comprised of members of the LDS (Mormon) community. While I respect all backgrounds, the tour felt like a private religious excursion rather than a general public tour. If the company is going to cater so heavily to a specific religious group, it should be marketed as a faith-based tour so that outsiders can make an informed decision about the social dynamic. Unfortunately this led to a tour experience where there was a clique' dynamic that led to significant exclusion. Group members denied me accessible seating at demonstrations and even attempted to excluded me from group gondola rides because I was a single woman outside of their social circle. Most concerning was the lack of consideration for mobility needs; Though some members were supportive, I found I was repeatedly pushed aside by group members when need assistance, even when a flight attendant was assisting me. This created an environment that felt unwelcoming and, at times, physically unsafe. I would recommend this tour for the sights, but only if you are part of the specific demographic mentioned above. I urge the company to be more transparent about the nature of their clientele or to better manage group conduct to ensure all guests are treated with basic courtesy.

My husband and I had a really awful experience booking with this company. We booked with the travel…read moreagent Angie Percival for a trip to Cancún, Mexico. We booked with a large group and several of the group members felt that they were treated rudely by her. She was incredibly hard to get ahold of through both email and phone call. We contacted her several times through email and by phone about her using an incorrect email address for us that she never did correct. When our flights were canceled due to weather we were not helped by the office. We were informed that they could not help us with anything due to the trip being within 24hrs. We where directed to a phone service that we were on hold with for 4.5 hrs. After an hour of hold I called the agency office back to ask about cancellation policies and refunds for days missed and they informed me that they couldn't help with any changes and that I would have to wait on the phone like everyone else and they didn't have a magic button to push us through in line. The online service took so long our original airline was already booked full and we had to pay extra to fly with a different airline. We were also told that we would have to pay a penalty fee for missing a day at the resort due to weather, even though weather was out of our control. Overall we were very upset and would advise against anyone else using this agent or agency!
