They deserve 0 stars! Had them for an auto I had with a very unique situation. On my way home from picking up my car, I was rear ended by a drunk driver. He was arrested for OWI, admitted guilt and had insurance. Should be a no brainer huh? nope, Travelers didnt even get back to me until 6 days later.(Rachael Mareno claims). no apologies, just "I was busy! as expected, Geico tried to low ball the damage. They said $3200 to fix, body shop said $14,000.(geico gave est. just by photos alone. Never came to see it.) So I went back to Travelers and said that I want to use my insurance instead. 1st they said that they didnt have any policy, then BOTH my FIRST & LAST NAMES WERE SPELLED WRONG. Then they said I didn't have rental ins. or gap insur. which I had to prove them wrong. Then their est. Was more, but It didn't cover the cost of the car that I had for less than24hrs. and only drove 2.5 miles before crash. they claimed depreciation at 70%! I was not going to have to pay on a loan for a car that was totaled. They were mean and nasty, and kept sending me to other people, Each person worse than the last. got them to bump up the payoff amount and they did but still absolutely REFUSED TO COVER MY $500 DEDUCTABLE. never should I have to pay this because of the circumstances and that I was not fault. When I tried to cancel the ins, they insisted that I had to pay 80% of the policy! for only 24 hours worth of use! They finally said they would change it, but, I have yet to see the credit. They know that they are going to go after Geico for the cost, but they still wont budge on the deductable, forcing me to pay it, and refusing to say that they would pay it back once they received it from Geico. At this point, They have caved on everything and fixed their errors, except the deductable. They are simply doing it out of spite at this point. Everyone knows that the person who is NOT at fault doesnt pay the deductable, but they bumped the total loss estimate by that same amount, and used it to shut me up, but then it still left the deductable open. There are many, many more things that they did as well, including forging an email with my name, and then having it disappear when I tried to find it again. they are obviously pissed as hell at me, but by continuing to piss me off is only making it worse. It has now been over 2 months, and I have yet to see one dime from them. All this now over a measely $500. dont they realize that they have paid out more than that in just salaries only of all the nasty people (Noah Dammann, Ethan Harper). Ill be sending inserts of their horrible emails at a later date, but just when you think the insurance companies cant get any worse, HERE COMES TRAVELERS! and they were susposed to be on my side! Never, Ever use them, and always remember, insurance companies are a For Profit industry. It is in their best intrest to pay you as little as possible. It is not to help you. The entire industry (home, auto, health, life) needs to be disbarred. they are helping absolutely NO ONE! read more

Wish i could give zero stars. This group is the insurance group for a construction company in LOUISVILLE, KY. They damaged my truck I submitted all the paperwork and documentation. They could not get into contact with Louisville Metro (who had nothing to do with the damage), so they won't reimburse me the money I was out to fix my truck. I told him that it did not happen in Dawson Springs, yet he did not fix that in his report also. He did not follow up with the insured group to see if they were in fact working on Dawson Hill Road that day. If he had this could have been settled. There was no warning signs or cones or anything suggesting that they were striping the road. I have a truck, and it is a windy curvy road. Horrible people to deal with at any time. I would give less than 1 star if I could. Jaclyn Fort was the agent I worked with. Not only did she take weeks before submitting my claim (she forgot, supposedly...I had to call back and bring it up again), but she lied about covering the entire amount. I got shorted close to $100 on the claim. As if the above wasn't bad enough, she actually rejected my claim (again, after saying they'd cover it all) without reaching out to me at all. How did I find that out? I called them again, since it had been weeks (again) since I'd heard anything. I (again) explained the entire situation and when she ripped me off, I decided to take the lesser amount instead of wasting many more hours of my time. This is probably a tactic they use to do stuff like this... Believe the bad reviews. They are a terrible insurance company and this particular location and Jaclyn are terrible at customer service. read more

If I could give Indira a negative star I would. She made a most unpleasant situation even worse. I am the victim in the automobile accident and I was treated like a criminal. She hung up on me. The insured from travelers wouldn't take responsibility until. I had to forward her all the paperwork and police report. Indira was not accommodating. I called and left messages 3 days in a row. I left several emails. It took extreme persistence to get a response on how to handle my claim and rental. I asked for the supervisor. I'm still waiting for a call 3 weeks later. My car was fixed. It did not cost me anything. The customer service from these people is horrific. read more

I was hit by one of their insurers who ended up totaling my car. not only were the people working there rude, they didn't want to answer any questions I had after i had found out that had taken full advantage of me. I had 3 different "adjusters" look at my car because they were trying to lowball me on it, the "claims professional" was rude and didn't seem to care that I was in an accident; just wanted to give me as little money as possible. 0/10 I hope to god I never have to go through them again. read more

In my 68 years, I have never made an insurance claim on a car. There was some vandalism to my back bumper or someone ran into me with a trailer hitch, and it was my responsibility to take a vast amount of pictures, write a scenario, ridiculous amounts of time on the phone, and speak to people that have so much condescending attitude, it's laughable. At the end of all this, I realize this is the worst car insurance in the world - I was sent a check for $246. -- Which lists it as a check for "towing for my collision". There was no collision. There was no towing. To repair my car is 1300. I totally understand deductibles, I realize I had a deductible, but to offer less than half of any balance to fix the car without anyone looking at it and having to go through a ridiculous camera app. It's just beyond reason. this insurance company really seems like a scam. read more

Like many others have already stated, Travelers is about making money off their customers.  They are unorganized, their agents often times are call centers overseas with people just reading off scripts, but it doesn't matter as you can't understand what they're saying anyways.  Travelers attracts customers with lower rates, but they'll hike them up in no time so you're back where you started.  The company will NOT be in your corner when you need them.  When I experienced a hit and run, the claims adjustor was rude and very aggressive, handling me like a piece of trash, not a valued customer.  I detest this company and their business practices read more
