I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Natay Construction and their "process". We need…read morea full renovation of our primary bathroom. I was nervous that Natay was the only contractor that asked me for money upfront in an hourly rate to create a plan and get bids for the bathroom. They gave me an initial estimate and then months and months later I finally get the "real" estimate for the bathroom which was almost 2X the initial estimate! The plan, materials, and layout had not changed at all.* We did not run into any hurdles that would have made the cost increase.  Process Made Me Feel Trapped: By the time I had gotten the proposal, the "hourly" hours billed was nearly double what I had agreed to and when I saw all of these bloated prices from subs, I was too nervous to wrack up more billable hours to have Eric go back and get better prices. I think this is the goal of their "process" - to make you feel like you are so far down the rabbit hole when you see this crazy number that you just give in.  No "Connections" with Subs: Now that I am getting my own quotes on the pieces of this project, all of the subs that Eric wanted to use were easily double the cost (not including the contractor fees) of the prices I am getting on my own (as a woman who knows nothing about construction). I thought the purpose of a contractor is that they know the right people to work with and know a reasonable price...  Extremely Slow: Getting answers from Eric was extremely slow. We started in February and I was originally supposed to have the whole project complete by early June. I didn't even get the 2X proposal until end of May. There were 6.5 weeks where I heard nothing back and had to reach out to Eric for an update multiple times. There was another time that I asked for one minor change and didn't hear back for 2 weeks. I was so hopeful that I found a trustworthy contractor to help with our house projects, but my experience with Natay was just a waste of time and money. After raising these concerns, I asked for a refund of my upfront money. Eric stopped responding and someone else from the team said no.  * This is TMI, but the upfront billable hours did increase due to looking into projects beyond the initial bathroom. Eric kept encouraging me that I would "save money" by doing all these other house projects at one time. The bill for all those things was like 4X the original price. I then asked for him to take everything out and see just the bathroom so I could compare apples to apples (just the bathroom was almost a full 2X more than the initial quote for just the bathroom).

We changed a sliding door to another style we liked better, so there was some fabrication for them to do as well. Our old stucco had a good deal of cracks everywhere. Matt explained that was normal over time and that they would repair it with a fiberglass mesh. Their workers really worked hard and got it all done in two steps. It looks fabulous, even better than we imagined. We're very happy with the finish and color we picked out. It's exciting to realize we chose the right company to help us with this update to the home we've been in since 1985. Harry came out in a very responsive manner and in the end said that we didn't need their services to address the settling of our basement floor. I wanted a professional opinion and I received one that was an honest evaluation. Talk about no pressure. I likely need some leveling on our driveway in the future and I will be calling Landmark Lifting!

They all knew exactly what they were talking about. The amount of concrete that they had to tear out and redo was over 2000 sq ft. They arrived on time every day. Finished on time every day. They ordered the concrete trucks that arrived on time every day. The work, the timing, the professionalism and the price was reasonable compared to other bids I've received. They put the joints in all the right places... You wouldn't believe how awful other concrete work I've seen looked including mine. They also made fence post holes that I asked for look too great to not talk about.

1 STAR -- I DO NOT RECOMMEND BEJAR CONCRETE DESIGN…read more We paid Bejar Concrete Design more than $130,000 to build a three-tier retaining wall system and concrete steps. Less than one year later, all three wall tiers have numerous cracks, the largest wall appears to be bowing, and one crack is approximately 3/4 inch wide. An engineer evaluated the wall and advised that it presents a serious safety concern. The concrete steps are also cracking and peeling. We have repeatedly tried to get Bejar to address these issues through BlackPine Landscaping, the landscaping company involved in the project. BlackPine has been honest, communicative and has continued trying to help us resolve the situation. Unfortunately, Bejar has not shown up to correct the problems, and our attempts to reach them have gone unanswered. Our experience does not appear to be isolated. A neighbor's driveway, installed by Bejar less than a year ago, is already cracking and peeling in numerous places. Another neighbor's concrete steps are also beginning to show similar problems. Bejar features our project on its website, but has failed to stand behind the work. I have photos and documentation of the damage and will continue documenting its progression. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Bejar Concrete Design for concrete or retaining-wall work. A $130,000+ project should not develop serious cracking, peeling and apparent movement within its first year, especially when an engineer has identified a safety concern
