Would give 0 stars if I could. Went to sale a boat to someone and the lender told me that the registration was too close to expiration (4 months away) so they couldn't do the loan. Made me drive to dmv where I was told registration cannot be renewed until 75 days away.. back to the bank where they could "override" this, why wasn't that an option first? Then because of this wasn't able to process the loan before closing and I drove 2 hours each way to meet the buyer! They need to get their team more on point! read more

The worst business I've ever experienced in my life! Had a claim from Expedia that I had to open twice and Travis did nothing to rectify or retrieve my funds. They said I had to wait two billing cycles to see if Expedia would refund the money that was stolen from me. I asked for provisional credit because I knew Expedia scammed me. Travis refused. Bow two months later I'm still trying to retain my $300 dollars and Travis keeps avoiding me and sending me to card services voicemail. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. BE AWARE They will discriminate against you during the lending process for your race/religion and other identifying factors that violate the Equal Opportunity Credit Act. They literally had me sign a contract, open a card issued the line of credit issued and even had the card showing up in my account. Then the loan person that had an issue with me personally decided to suspend my card and funding which is now negatively affecting my credit situation because of it. They treated me like a criminal after an approval...I have a 706 score and it was an instant approval with no income docs required...Then everything changed when 1 person got involved well after I was approved...PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!! I arrived 10 minutes early for a 1:45 appt. Checked in on the kiosk and it said 0 ahead of you 10 min wait. At 2:10 i asked how much longer it would be and a woman told me that I ARRIVED LATE so my appt was given to someone else. I showed her my email appt and but she again told me I WAS LATE. I am a long time customer and I've learned to be patient and wait for him to serve my circumstance. I am not savy with the online services that are offered and he always makes any potential frustration disappear. He is always patient and kind and explains my circumstances well. I had an appointment for 1:45 pm, I arrived 10 minutes early. I checked in and waited 20 minutes before asking how long it would take to be seen. The lady was VERY RUDE and said I was over an hour late and would have to wait. Even after I showed her the confirmation email stating my appointment time was 1:45pm. Don't go to this location!!! Peabody Branch. Horrible customer service. I've been consistent, Travis Credit Union employees aren't. Her name is Stacey Meyers the Branch manager. She tried to make it seem has if I was yelling when I wasn't. It echos in that place cause of all the glass between the customers and tellers. She tried to criminalize me and threaten to call the police for no sensible reason. I'm a customer with a car loan there. I'm never late on my payments. I don't appreciate being treated as if I didn't belong there for what ever purpose I was there. She was very rude and made a sarcastic attempt to actually show customer service upon me expressing the lack of professionalism. I'm gona look for another credit union. Or get another car. Updating my review, they really care about their customer service and keeping their customers happy. They stay on top of things. If you can't get in touch with them over the phone, try emailing them. They will respond. They are really busy right now and short staff due to the pandemic but they try their best to be available. I have all of my loans with them and I am really happy with their services. read more

I had a Bill Pay issue with the city (Not TFCU's fault) so I tried to get a copy of the cancelled check, however unlike other banking institutions Travis Credit Union will NOT allow you view or print a copy of a check that's been cashed by a 3rd party you have to request it be sent by MAIL !!! ? The major banking institutions all allow me to view or print my checks. Their customer service rep also says it's "TFCU Policy" for their customer service reps to NOT E-mail a requested copy? How much postage costs and customer service rep time would TFCU save by allowing me to view or print a copy of my cashed checks let alone just being good customer policy and service? Seems TFCU is going out of it's way to make it hard on customers. read more

Have you ever tried to call Travis Credit Union? I tried. The recording said the wait time would be 25 minutes. The next time I tried, the wait time would be 28 minutes. I did not wait. The next day I called at 9 AM. Told there would be a 35 minute wait. I called again after 10 AM when they open their doors. Still a 35 minute wait. Are they really that busy? I think they just want everyone to sign up for on-line banking so they don't have to talk to anyone. I'll take my banking elsewhere. read more

I think people bank here because it is a credit union with low or no fees. I really disagree with the Travis motto "member focused" as they got really nasty with us when we wanted to do a modification on our second mortgage and needed help. We felt like just a number to them. Really just another so-so bank in disguise. read more

This has changed so much from when it was the federal credit union. It's all about profits now. Sad. ATM's go offline often, when there is Sn issue it takes so long to get things fixed and no one has an answer as to why things happen. No accountability. Just hear a horror story from a tcu member that her license was stolen and the crook wore a wig a took out $20,000 in 3 days. Too scary for me. I feel so badly for the victim. Not sure if I am closing account. 31 years with them but I'm not seeing the value anymore. No convenience, and safety is now an issue. Waiting in long line now that arm is offline again and this is day 6 on trying to get my ATM card to work again! read more

I have to admit that this place is actually a pretty good bank. While they might lack the grandiose scale of a Bank of America, they compensate for this with pretty darn good customer service and access to a change counting machine for no charge! read more

I just love my back.. I've been a member for almost 5 years now, best I've ever had.. Well today they just showed me even more great service.. I don't know what happened, but I had a problem with a store trying to get my payment, maybe it was my fault, I do know I had the money for them to take , but something happened and it started bouncing all over the place ,taking my money ,trying to take it again, yeah I went under .bank charge me couple times for me not having the money in there and it was just so stressful, and I'm just had a really bad month anyway ,but I called the bank and talk to the man and I forgot his name ,but he was so considerate and so sweet that he did help me kind of straightened it up and as a courtesy ,he took away the charges for the bouncing and I just appreciate it so much.. because I'm on Social Security and I just did not have it . so I want to thank him again and he is such a great guy and I just love their service thank you read more

Absolute worst banking experience ever. My father had banked with Travis for over 30 years. When he passed away he left his family a small trust. When I went to cash it in, Travis found every little stipulation not to pay us on this trust. After 2 visits, and 6 phone calls, the staff gave us the wrong information we needed to cash it in. Keep in mind that he had a trust at BOFA, for a lot more money, and BOFA cashed it in right on the spot. But not Travis. My brother is going through something similar with a car loan right now with Travis. This has been hands down the worst banking experience of my life. I would not recommend Travis to an enemy! read more

I really wish I would have read all of the negative reviews before opening an account here. By far the worst customer service, management and "rules" of any bank I have ever used. They ran a credit check without telling me to open a savings account and almost ruined my escrow closing with a hard hit on my credit. I had a very large cashiers check from the sell of another home and they had to get approval just to deposit it, I wasn't trying to cash it or take any money out just put it in their ridiculous bank. Then, despite having an existing balance that would well cover the deposit, they put a 7 day hold on the funds. It's not like I need the funds before the 7 days but it is the principal of the thing! As soon as that money clears, you can be assured I will be withdrawing the entire amount and moving it to a bank that will appreciate my business. Please save yourself the hassle. No high CD rate will ever be worth the hoops I have had to jump through here. read more

Hideous Customer Service from the loan department. I spoke to 3 different people and got 3 different dollar amounts to bring my account back to current. I walked into a branch to make the payment after speaking with Karen on the phone from the loan department and spent nearly 90 minutes waiting because the bank teller and nobody in the loan department (Cassandra) had any knowledge of a dollar amount being noted on my account. I was further delayed when the teller had to call the loan manager and get the exact details of my payment because Cassandra was unable to provide a dollar amount. Seriously??!! Awful awful awful. Save your time and a headache, Do not bank here EVER!! Because of Karen and Cassandra's lack of customer service and lack of professionalism and inability to provide consistent details regarding a dollar amount for payment I will never recommend this place!! I wish I could give them no stars!! read more

wow let me start with i opened a savings and checking joint acct. with my wife 30 days ago and the first week some one tried to fraud about 150.00 bucks out of my checking i got that fixed then the next week they messed up my my wifes social so she couldnt use the acct and now travis sent a check from someone elses acct thru mine for $89.00 cause they got one # wrong on there acct. and didnt even bother with matchin the name to the acct.. so i went in there to get that fixed and they made me fill and sign forms and put my thumb print on them when they messed up and acted like it was no big deal...wow and they still havent refunded my 89 buck yet! I had my truck financed through Travis Credit Union and after 7 years of making a payment and actually paying off the loan 2 months early they went and reported that I was 180 days late on the account after it was paid in full and closed. After calling them they said they reported to the credit bureaus when it was paid off and said it is the credit bureaus miss reporting not theirs. I have yet to this day been able to get it reported correctly. They have sucked when it comes to working with you. read more

I've been in this bank only three times over a two year period with my spouse who has accounts there and each time it was a ridiculous fiasco! Today he sent me in with a $6,000 check to be deposited into his account. I went to the window with the check and deposit slip, and the teller told me it was over her limit. I pointed out that I was not trying to withdraw funds, and it was no problem if she wanted to place a hold on the check, but she still had to take the check over to the manager for approval just to deposit it. I waited at the teller window as the two of them stood at the manager's desk discussing the check until it got ridiculous. Finally I walked over to the manager's desk and asked if there was a problem with depositing the check. She told me "Oh, I wasn't logged on to my computer." SERIOUSLY!?!?!? And that's kind of how it has been the other two times I was in with my husband. Nothing seems easy at this bank. I can't understand why he keeps his accounts here. read more

In the past 40 years I've taken out two mortgages (and a couple of refinances) and a car loan, opened CDs, maintained savings, money-market, and checking accounts -- in short, I've taken advantage of every service you can name. I have never had an account with a bank during that time and have never needed one. The best rates, convenient access, excellent customer service -- Travis delivers them ALL with grace and competence. When my father died and we needed help to move accounts around for my 88-year-old mother, they were patient, gracious, and caring. When I needed to close on a mortgage while traveling on business, they faxed materials back and forth to me with good cheer and alacrity. I highly recommend Travis to anyone in search of a financial institution that will put the customer's / owner's needs first. They are, without exception, the BEST. read more
