The staff at RCU napa on 1st street are Super amazing friendly and professional. Love this location. They even have clean restrooms! They've gone out of their way to help me. I don't know how many times . The only downside about this place is it gets REALLY busy. there's only two ATMs. Parking is somewhat limited. read more

Awful online banking and awful bank overall. Doesn't communicate with other banks and is completely useless as a bank outside of just asking for money and attempting to use money you have. Bank is awful and isn't accepted at most ATMs despite what you're told. Star ATMs also still charge you a fee so it's useless outside of NorCal. I regret getting a credit card with them and i am at the point of just taking a negative on my credit score so I can never deal with them ever again. read more

Five stars for this location, four stars for RCU as a whole. This Napa branch generally delivers a positive experience - in case you do have to come to a physical location, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the line moves quickly. The main reason I'm not giving five stars is because RCU's new online banking aka "digital banking" is absolutely horrible. Sure, it looks nice, but from a user experience perspective, the old one was better. The old system was far more compact and laid out more efficiently, so you could see more information at once. Also, I have an issue with a vendor repeatedly charging my account that I did not authorize. They charge me $1 every month. Each month, I have to go through and file a claim. Apparently RCU has no way to block the vendor. Yes, it's only $1 a month, but it's a hassle to have to deal with over and over again. There should be a way to block that company from fraudulently charging me for something I cancelled, permanently. Also, if you're picky, RCU ATMs are sloooooow. If you go to an RCU branch and use an ATM there, it takes forever to load or process any transaction. Thankfully, RCU does reimburse ATM fees, so you can really just go across the street to a different bank, use their ATM, and be done in half the time... this has just frustrated me for years. Overall, RCU is a great choice compared to the big banks, and they have competitive rates on car loans, etc. I do like working with them. That said, there is room for improvement, so I think four stars is fair enough. read more

I opened my bussines account and a personal line of credit and I saw that they also finance vehicles loans so I applied online and they were very good , I went to the Napa branch and the staff is so friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful especially Jessica Escareno who made everything possible for me to acquire my new/ used vehicle from a dealership , I took me only 2 days to get my check with the total amount of the loan . I was so happy . She took the time to talk to the dealer , she took the time to go through every aspect of the loan until I got it . Daria and Melissa at the Napa Office made it SO easy to pay off our loan and help the new owner get a loan! I LOVED the ease of refinancing our RV Loan through RCU. When my go to credit union could only do the best at 7.9% even though I've been a top rated customer/ excellent credit history and loan history with them it was disappointing. Along comes Daria at RCU and says I can beat that, give me a chance. Coming in at 5.4% was a huge savings for us! Then she mentions their auto loan deal going on through end of March with rates as low as 2.4%... we decided to give Daria another chance at our Truck refinance slicing our 5% original loan in HALF, again with a different bank 'who gave us their best'. If you like to save money and work with great people and use an extremely friendly mobile app then RCU is for you. Wish I could give them negative 5 stars. Vehicle was paid off in 2013 and they neglected to send in paperwork to DMV to release the Lien when my Dad requested it. Now I can't transfer my Dad's vehicle for him because they refuse to accept the Power of Attorney he did and refuse to send in the Release of Lien because my Dad is unable to come in but did verify that they should have done so back in 2013. This is how the treat Senior Costumers, I am sure they are just hoping the vehicle is in a wreak so they can steal his Insuance Money. read more

Given the great reviews, I came to this Redwood Credit Union location to open a new account. I sat in the waiting area for assistance. Both representatives were with other customers. One of the representatives finished and I continued waiting. My experience in most banks is that someone greets you. Given that no one approached me, I approached the office of the representative who was done and she told me I had to get in line to talk to a teller. I clarified that I was there to open a new account. She again said I had to get in line to tell a teller. I have never entered a bank where you are ignored, then told you have to first talk to a teller before you can sit down with a representative to open an account. The manager should have a serious conversation with this particular representative from this branch and receive proper training on customer service and respect. read more

This credit union is great, I highly recommend it. Compared to my previous credit union, RCU blows them out of the water. Attentive, friendly staff - it is always a good experience coming in. I would rather come in than use the ATM which I have never preferred at any bank or credit union. Today I came into a long line, they cleared the line out quickly and efficiently. When I came in, there was one staff helping customers. Two staff members, including a branch manager (Lindsay) started helping customers to quickly demolish the line. That shows me that not only does management realize how quickly people want to be helped, especially with our fast paced society, plus Lindsay obviously cares about her employees below her. She could have easily asked the second staff member to help and continued with management duties. Not only that but Lindsay was incredibly helpful and informative. Thank you. It should be mentioned that on a previous visit I came in (in a frenzy) to quickly withdraw money and make it to an office to pay a bill. I had never been to the office I was looking for an I mentioned this to the young man that helped me. He then googled and verbally told me directions to what I was looking for. I made it to that office with 3 minutes left until their closing time. I would have not made it if not for him. Michelle Zerba is also an amazing employee. Great customer service. Do not use this bank if you actually need to use your own money. Their bill pay service failed to pay my rent, but they took the money out of my account. When I complained they cancelled the late check that they sent, but would not put the money back in my account for 3-5 business days. They offered me a letter to give to my landlord explaining that I had paid, but not the cash that they took out of my account. These folks are robbers. Bank anywhere else. I was not able to give no start, but if that were an option I would. read more
