I recently used Tre Luna for an event I was having at my house. I ordered cobb salads for everyone. The salads were huge and everyone enjoyed them. Tre Luna was very easy to work with. I had their catering today at work, and it was delicious! I would def recommend or hire them to cater again! Their chicken and rice was delicious with the rice being some of the best rice I ever had! Seriously! I had some of their mixed veggies which was mainly a mix of broccoli and squash. It was pretty well seasoned too! I love the atmosphere of Tre Luna. We had the best server he was very knowledgeable with menu items. We had the fried crab claws, grilled ribeye, and linguine shrimp. The steak was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. The crab claws were very fresh and the pasta was delicious as well. Funny story: Several months ago I was getting my nails done and struck up a conversation with the lady sitting next to me. She asked what I did, and vice versa. She was the owner of Tre Luna and I mentioned we were looking for a caterer for an event in 2016. She gave me her card. Fast forward a few months, and we had Tre Luna cater an event for us one Saturday. Food was delicious. The roasted potatoes - i could have just eaten those and been highly satisfied. While I didn't do the actual ordering of the food, I've been told they were super easy and helpful to work with. I have a feeling we will be using them for other events in the future! read more

I have used Tre Luna Catering several time for large family gatherings and the food and service have been amazing. Cathleeen went out of her way to make sure that we had the perfect menu for our events. My guests loved the braised beef short rib sliders and the watermelon, feta, mint skewers along wit many other menu items. Tre Luna thinks of everything and made hosting these family events so easy. After my last event the owner even took time to call and review their service. I definitely would give Tre Luna 5 stars! read more

What a great addition to the Hoover neighborhood We loved the atmosphere and the decor. The menu choices were pleasing and the cost was about what you would expect to pay. They have done a great job with the menu selections, and we were lucky to be there for the Happy hour which was really good. Outside area is really nice especially now we are heading to the fall. Rosemary Chicken and small wedge roasted potatoes was excellent Shrimp starter was very good . Flavors were perfect and you got a good helping of Shrimp. Very good value for money I thought. The braised rib sliders were also very good as a starter. I will get the ribs as a main course when I return. The only thing that bothered us was the cheese Pizza. Although it was very good and tasted perfect we ask if they could add pepperoni to it which increased the cost by 50% .. I though that's a bit much for a few slices of meat . It turned a $10 meal into a $15 meal for a 8 year old. So my suggestion is the maybe add a kids menu with the basic items on it. I also like the fact they promote local craft beer and who doesn't like beer?. Kelly was our server who was very friendly and very professional. In fact all the staff were really good. So we will be back and soon, and will become regulars. I give 4 stars since the Pizza left a bad taste in my wallet but certainly 5 is on the horizon. Keep up the great work. read more

Tre Luna catered our 2-day annual meeting in Birmingham last week, breakfast and lunch - all around great experience! Erin was very accommodating and easy to work with in planning - we modified menus, requested specific dishes, etc. The service on-site was excellent as well - Bill had the food displayed on time, worked with us on some last minute adjustments on quantity, kept food and drinks replenished at all times. And most importantly, response from the group of 50 was very positive! We received many "food was great!" comments on our feedback survey at the end of 2 days. Thank you Tre Luna! read more

I just started at UAB and needed catering for two events....one was our board. I wanted healthy food (I am from California where it is easy to find food is picked right from the ground and plopped on your plate). So, I asked the person doing the food planning for my event, "Where can we get something healthy? I am tired of all of the fried foods and roasted veggies soaked in oil." She suggested Tre Luna. I told her that I wanted quinoa and she said it was not on the menu. But, that was no problem for Tre Luna. They were able to do quinoa and it was good. (a touch salty and a touch overcooked, but for a first time - it was superb! With that, we had sauteed veggies (with too much oil), chicken that was really great, a yummy salad with walnuts, strawberries, and feta cheese, and the most amazing peach cobbler (seriously, this is addicting). Besides the veggies having too much oil (next time, I will ask for them roasted), they also had too much salt. Their service was impeccable!! They set up in plenty of time - they are the only caterers so far that have actually had the food ready on time, they use Sterno to keep the food warm (and bacteria free), and they are just plain nice. When we had our team debriefing, I asked for them to be a regular for our twice a year events. So, why 5 stars when I commented that the food was a bit too salty and oily. Because sometimes things are all relative. I cannot find healthy catering in Bham. So, until I do, Tre Luna is, as Yelp says, "As good as it gets!" Thanks to the good folks at Tre Luna! read more

What a disaster! Once a year Alumni Dinner at Samford University. Food plated was cold served after 30 minutes with no meat. Chicken arrived at 7:50 for an event beginning at 6:30. I expect someone who I was told came highly recommended to do their job. I hope they are cutting a check back to Samford for the meals that were improperly served. read more
