Oh baby, excellent food at even more amazing prices here. I'm happy that I finally had an opportunity to try this place. The ambiance is really nice inside, it gives out a vibe for date night or something similar. One unique thing that I appreciated here is that most of the pasta dishes come in two sizes. The two sizes allowed me to try a small dish of one kind and a small of another. I had a small size of Rigatoni Quattro Gusti and Orrechiette Shue Shue. Very unique dishes, very unique taste, and even for a small two small dishes is more than enough for me. For under $30 this was more than worth it. Service was excellent, which culminates my positive experience here. Definitely worth the hype and a return visit in the future. read more

Lovely atmosphere, great service and amazing food. If you love pasta this place is for you. Always a favourite for us. Reservations are required with a 2 hour stay. Busy every time we have been there which in my mind is a good thing.... a lot of people eat here. read more

Wow, almost 3 years to the day from my previous review I can say I am happy with my return visit to this location. My last visit was so terribly salty that it took a lot for me to return here for dinner but I am glad I did. We had a lovely dinner as service was warm and friendly and dishes were reasonably priced and very much hit the spot when it comes to comfort Italian food. Antipasti $5-$14, pizzas are ~$15, primi $16-$19 and secondi $19-$25. I still remember the days when the focaccia was complimentary (at the old McDermot locaion) but for $3 you can get the Focaccia Casalinga (4 pcs) with house made with xvoo, balsamic vinegar. A nice starter of fluffy focaccia to share with 2-4 people. The gnocchi al pesto ($18) are not the pillowy gnocchi from the McDermot location but they are still fine. Not overly dense and better than average in a thick pesto cream sauce that probably needed more pesto than cream. The vitello piccata ($24) is the veal scaloppini with white wine, lemon and capers. The veal was very tender and the classic sauce was perfectly balanced. The secondi comes with pasta pomodoro, fettuccine Alfredo or grilled vegetables. I had the fettuccine Alfredo which is a small portion and probably best in that portion as its a decadent caloric overload of delicious carbs and cream. The whole dish was great. Our whole table enjoyed every dish ordered and had a lovely time. This is a great casual neighborhood restaurant where you can order some comfort dishes and enjoy good conversation in a not too loud place with a bottle of wine. read more

The food offerings at Tre Visi are incredible. We were visiting the city and wanted something other than the usually boring chain food. We got it in spades. We started with Caprese and caesar salads which is a standard for us. Super! The calamari are to die for ... I've never had better! Tender, tasty and lightly fried to perfection. My experience of this restaurant was just okay. I tried the following: Focaccia - it was okay. Served with xvoo and balsamic vinegar. Bruschetta - was just okay and uninspiring. Spaghetti pasta with garlic shrimps in white wine sauce was okay too. It was special for the day and it was passable. Nothing to write home about. Tiramisu - was very good. Affogato - was okay. The gelato wasn't great. I tried 2 wines; a pinot grigio and a cabernet. Both were very nice. read more

The lamb shank with risotto was absolutely to DIE FOR. I took it upon myself to indulge in a side of fettuccine Alfredo as well (oopsie), which was quite good, but could have used more Parmesan. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely horrific. We weren't greeted at our table for about 15 minutes, and then waited about 15 more minutes or our 2 bottles if wine to arrive. Our server just generally had an awful attitude, and even tossed cutlery to the end of the table at one point. Hopefully this was an isolated incident in terms of service, because the food is absolutely amazing. Better luck next time! read more

I'm so glad we chose Tre Visi tonight on our cross-country road trip. Service was wonderful, our linguine adriatiche $19 (tomato-based sauce, mussels, prawns, scallops), orecchiette shue shue $16 (tomato-based sauce, arugula) were delicious, as was our tiramisu $7 for dessert. My dining partner inhaled his linguine in minutes. What keeps it from getting 5 stars is that my orecchiette, while delicious (I usually end up taking half my pasta dishes home, but cleaned the plate), quite a few pieces that were all stuck together (and hence some middle pieces weren't sufficiently cooked). Perhaps a little more stirring would have helped. read more

I don't often go out for meals that can be over $100 for two but, if I do Tres Visi Café is always in the top 3 on my list. The restaurant is a smaller one and it can be tough getting a table (good thing) on some nights without a reservation. I work in a kitchen and I can say the food at Tres Visi is phenomenal. The appetizers are great with the calamari and bruschetta being regulars for me and my girlfriend. I usually go with gnocchi and my gf gets the chicken parmigiana. This is Italian food done right. There are more creative dishes with more complexity but we go with what we love. With great wine and desserts plus specialty coffee we always leave happy.! read more

Amazing food with a small restaurant setup which was busy fairly early so make a reservation to guarantee a table. Our waitress was sweet and provided great suggestions to help us narrow down our choice for dinner. We started with the caesar salad, I had the pollo parmeseana with grilled vegetables and my colleague had the special - a seafood dish with a side of fettuccine alfredo. The food was amazingly prepared and was so good I wish I had room for dessert. They had a good selection of wines by the glass and a better selection by the bottle. I love a good Caesar and they made mine extra spicy by my request - It was perfectly mixed! A short walk from Corydon Avenue, worth the stop. Will return on my next trip to Winnipeg. read more

Superb in every way. We organized a four course Italian Wine Club dinner for 43 people (where all individuals are to be served at once, unlike regular staggered restaurant service where each table is ready at a adifferent time). Waht a challenge! It was magnificent. Place was FULL, servers were like ballerinas moving (what appeared to be) effortlessly between tables coordinating everything hot and fresh, cuisine was outstanding. WORST EXPERIENCE! WILL NEVER RETURN I consider myself to be a fairly regular customer. On my most recent visit, my wife's order came out of the kitchen incorrectly and she was told that it will take some time to prepare a new dish. We were with a larger party and everyone else had their food. She did not want to wait and have to eat by herself. She agreed to eat the dish even though it was not what she ordered, in order to be a good sport and not hold up the entire table. When the bill arrived, the waitress said that she spoke with the owner and he said they will do nothing for her. We were not looking for a free meal but we were expecting them to do something. Our entire table was in shock! The mistake was with the kitchen, and not to demonstrate any type of customer service, especially for a loyal client, was concerning. We have already told a few friends and they have promised us that they will not return either. I guess the restaurant is doing so well that they don't need our business anymore. We will never return to the restaurant. Had the owner offered the smallest gesture, I would have accepted the gesture and moved on. Our table spent around $300 that night. They won't see my Visa ever again. read more

We consider Tre Visi one of our go to places for dining. Sadly our visit last night was tainted by an extremely rude server. We have always been greeted with a smile and friendly comments by one of the regular servers. Yesterday she was not her jubilant self. When asked why she was not smiling today she tore a strip off of me. We had taken some friends that had never been and they were in shock at her demeanor. I attempted to apologize at the end of the evening and was very clearly told that it was rude to comment on someone's appearance. Not enough words can explain how she ruined a night out with friends. While we will continue to dine at Tre Visi I will never talk to this woman again. She was simply asked what was wrong, much like you would ask a friend that you care about. read more

The best Italian place with a good price and a good service, the servers listens tp customers every request. The veal parmesan was superb and moist with a side of spaghetti just perfect for dinner.
