This about our experience making a large donation to the store. We were cleaning out a relatives home with some old but very expensive furniture, new appliances, vintage items, clothing. We requested a truck pickup. The interactions with the owner's wife Lena before, and during the donation very rude, condescending, and disrespectful. They didn't even introduce themselves to me on arrival. When I am the one that contacted them. I doubt these people are Christians and I really doubt they are are giving the money from donation sales to who they say they are. DO NOT DONATE OR SHOP HERE! DISRESPECTFUL AND DISCRIMINATORY TOWARD PEOPLE OF COLOR!! DISCREPANCIES ON WHERE MONEY FOUND IN A CAMERA BOUGHT AT THE STORE WENT TO. SHADY AF. I would have thrown her out of the house if we weren't desperate to get rid of the furniture. I doubt you people are Christians and I really doubt you are are doing with the donations you say you are. They took most of the stuff we offered. She did cherry pick the stuff with only the things they can sell. Which is understandble. Even some items worth several hundred dollars she was going to turn down. We decided not to donate some more valuable pieces because of the disrespect and rudeness. Of which she did make another rude comment about. She made fun of the of the donor and the items they have. Be respectful of the decisions of donors to keep items that are on display. She didn't when she made a mistake than she made condescending comments as excuses . She was very rude after I mentioned Asian decor. Even said she can't promise to take the furniture I sent pics of because "the furniture is damaged and we have to pay to dispose of it". And after assuring her they are in like new condition practically accused me lying. She did end up taking almost all the furniture. I thought because we are people of color she talked to me in an abrasive and disrespectul way. There is definitely a pattern from previous reviews of offensive discriminatory behavior toward us colored folks. On another Yelp review someone found $5K in a camera, returned the money to the store. The money is legally belongs to the camera buyer. She did not have to return the money. They did not thank her or even ask her name. Here they claim that they gave the money to their aunt. (See Pics). In another review they claim they gave it to Planet Changer. (See Pics) Which is another sketchy charity that is registered to non another than Lena and Don. They probably kept the money for themselves!! Claimed it belonged to relative here and in another review says they donated it their own charity. Lies, lies, and more lies. Total BS. The buyer wrote a Yelp review that you didn't ask her name or Thank her. Multiple reviews about disrespect toward people of color. Multiple reviews about them being a fake charity on Google and Yelp, She is not a nice person and doesn't take accountablity for her horrible behavior. There are quite a few reviews about disrespecting people of color and not treating people like human beings on Google. They use their store FB page to post bad reviews asking for good (fake) reviews and possible harassment of the review writer. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!

I bought a vintage camera upon bringing it home. I found $5000 cash inside it. Brought the cash back to treasures in heaven and talked to the owner and he stated that it probably was a family members. He never said thank you or bother to learn my name. I came back to his store a week later and asked about it and he said that it was his aunts and bragged that she gave him $300 reward for his organization. Again he never bothered to learn my name or say thank you. I feel that he is not very gracious. I don't regret returning the cash, but I will not shop there ever again.

    My favorite find so far.

Excellent thrift store. The curated clothes section is great. Lots of art and home items.

I happened to finally have a few minutes to check out Thriftology today. I've driven past this…read moreintriguing place several times and today I was on foot and went in. I was greeted by a nice friendly man who gave me some info about the place and pointed out that the majority of the items are in the back rooms. This place is deceptively large. It's a bit messy in the back but there is a little bit of everything here. He also told me some items were new and didn't have prices on them but to ask if I wanted to know. I'd rather have items labeled so I can see if it's a good deal or not. I hate to ask each time I look at an item. Overall, it's a small business in a sus part of Seattle that frankly needs some more legitimate businesses. I even found a cool little Squidward stuffie that I purchased. I'll be back one day to check it out again.

Good selection of stuff if you know where to look. There is music blasting at the entrance and on…read morethe left side of the shop. It's a little chaotic but I feel it lures the shopper in. As you walk through the store there is a room which often has 90's jams on. This room has more clothing and on the left side there are kids toys and sometimes bikes. It does feel like an estate sale/goodwill outlet vibe as some things are organized but also kinda random. The layout reminds me of a flea market in an another country. Unlike Out of the Closet and Lifelong in which you know the exact price of a record or a vintage binocular here you have to ask. I think this is part of the thrill of the search but also asking yourself how much you want to pay for this. Service is good and staff are chill and laid back. If you're around Lake city I would encourage stopping in. It's a nice refresher from the dated xxx shop next door, drug deals happening outside, and fentanyl slumps you see.

The person was very helpful, and careful of some of the glass items that I dropped off. I hope that this offers a great selection to some of their future shoppers and helps increase their revenue for the programs they support. I believe the value of these items is unique, and will allow someone to get more life out of the items we donated. It's a great cause.

Today however after visiting this Value Village, which I frequent, I just had to leave my 2 star review. The staff in the store are friendly, the store is clean, and there are an abundant amount of clothing & housewares, thus why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. But here's my problem with this store - the prices are outrageous. I wanted to leave this review months ago when at that time prices were ridiculous but I visited today and couldn't believe the astronomical prices. The economy is in the tank yet you keep raising your prices??? There are no dressing rooms so if I buy your $20-30 jeans and they don't fit I can only exchange them, not get a refund and I only have two weeks to do so. I found clothing priced at $40 & $50, granted new with tag but not brands worth that inflated price. Shoes average $17 or more now. I haven't bought shoes there in quite some time. These items are donated, why price them so high the average person can't afford them. I really think you need to rethink your pricing strategy, you've finally out priced me as a customer.
