I come here often and let me give you the breakdown…read more.. Pros: 1) staff is friendly and understanding 2) there is a large verity in what they have and u will most likely find what u need 3) there r mirrors around the store so u can see how something looks on u 4) if u donate then u get a card with a bunch of discounts that work immediately- I saved almost 10 dollars from it 5) it is very organized 6) they have the best selection of items I. The area Cons: 1) there r a lot of stained clothing items that are marked for a high price - but was looking at a pair of branded jeans that had a period stain on them for 23.99 which is a good price for a branded item but u usually wouldn't wash jeans because of shape and sizing 2) there r no dressing rooms and there is a strict policy on not using the bathrooms to change- however if u can slip the clothing piece on quickly then u will be able to check itself in the mirrors Overall it's a pretty average thrift store... Edit: I went back for some more thrifting and upped my review by one star because the staff was so kind about finding every possible way to get a charger for my android because it ran out of charge. The staff was also super nice, and you can find some steals there that were amazing! There are also 30% off on Tuesday for seniors which came in really handy when shopping with my mom who qualified as a senior.

And they do their best to make it feel like a "normal" shop but I find it a little disorganized and feel very overwhelmed and gave up looking at clothes. They have a small variety of furniture downstairs and upstairs they have a small section of housewares and men's clothing. It was really hot on my visit and if I wasn't as warm, I'd probably stay longer and do some real treasure Hunting. But I just wasn't into it that day. But it's a great store to search and hunt.

Their designated handicap…read moreparking was on the side of the building that had the entrance closed at the time we went; their lower displays of women's clothing, books, furniture, and accessories are so crammed in and packed together that it makes navigating with a walker, wheelchair, or stroller very challenging and truly impossible for certain areas; their men's, household, pets, children's books, children's clothes and other items are all located upstairs which makes access literally impossible for those with mobility issues or parents with strollers. The sheer volume of items on the floor and shelves makes this place a bit overwhelming, and I couldn't find any organization as far as their books go so if you love a long riffling through heaps of stuff then this is your place, but if you like more of an organized and accessible experience this is definitely a place I would skip. The prices range from a couple dollars, to $7.99 for most clothing, and up depending on the item. I'd say they're asking higher end for things, similar to a current Goodwill. I don't have direct experience with the service as neither me nor my companion purchased anything, but the clerks behind the checkout counter were talking amongst themselves as several people looked at the accessories in the area. I don't see myself going out of my way to come back here, unfortunately.

Senior Thrift in Freeland is more than just a place to find a good deal--it's a must-see spot on…read moreWhidbey Island. What you buy here helps fund key services like Meals on Wheels for local seniors and their caregivers through an organization called Island Senior Resources (ISR). The store is huge, taking up two floors, and it's a required stop for anyone visiting or living on South Whidbey. Unlike many big thrift stores that feel messy, Senior Thrift is exceptionally clean and neat. It's set up more like a high-end consignment shop than a typical warehouse. Everything is clearly labeled, and the items are usually in great shape, showing the high quality of donations, they receive. The aisles are wide, the displays are attractive, and browsing is a relaxing, fun experience. The store is packed with a huge variety of items in almost every category: * Clothes: You'll find high-quality, gently used clothes for men and women, often with designer brands mixed in, especially in their special "Pick of the Litter" area. Everything is sorted well, making it easy to find what you want. * Home Goods & Decor: This is the store's strong point. The two floors allow for a massive selection of furniture, dishes, small kitchen appliances, and unique decorations. A fun highlight is the dedicated Christmas Room, which is open year-round for holiday shoppers. * Books & Media: They have a good selection of books and media. Honestly, I REALLY come for the books. I could spend hours in the stacks searching for rare and vintage book on subject of interest to me as well as contemporary murder mysteries that I enjoy reading. While the prices are generally fair and reasonable for the quality (especially since your purchase is a donation), occasionally a large or antique item might seem a bit expensive. I recently found a large, chunky bracelet with the 12 signs of the zodiac carved into it for $400 and a beautiful Hamsa Hand for $75.00! But overall, you get excellent value for your money. The best part about shopping here is the mission. Every dollar supports Island Senior Resources, funding important services like ride programs for medical appointments, food delivery, and support for those caring for an older adult. The staff, mostly kind and knowledgeable volunteers, are extremely friendly and make the store a cheerful place to visit. Senior Thrift in Freeland is easily one of the best thrift stores on Whidbey Island. It wins because it has a great selection of goods, keeps everything perfectly organized, and directly supports a crucial local cause. If you want a fun shopping trip where your money truly helps the community, head straight to Senior Thrift. You're guaranteed to find a treasure and feel great about supporting local seniors

I love thrifting while traveling because sometimes you find some great treasures! I had fallen for an local artists whimsical style and somehow found one of her pieces in this thrift store!!! And everything was on sale- so I got a functional piece of art (a soap dish) for $4! When I was in a gallery that very same day with her works priced $80 and up depending on the piece. Jump for joy please! And the staff here are wonderful- the cashier loved my find too.

I went on a holiday where the parking lot was packed with street parking full as well. I didn't see people with loads of things they were buying. For instance, an older genuine leather credit card and checkbook holder (I.e. not a complete wallet) was priced at $20. Used David's Bridal formals at $60-$80. Keep in mind that any used formal will need to be cleaned before wearing, which adds to the price of buying a used dress. David's Bridal sells bridesmaids dresses with two different webpages on their website. Dresses under $100 and Dresses under $70. I drove to this store specifically because I'd heard they had quality things at good prices and my daughter was hoping to find a formal dress. While I did find most of their books reasonably priced, I won't take the time to go back.
