It's a nice thrift store. The associates are always friendly and welcoming. He found some comic books and I found a work dress. The prices were good. They have a lot of items which are also good for gifts as they are in good condition. I have friends who prefer recycling and not contributing to the amount of items in the world. read more

Forget about Goodwill.... THIS is the place to bring your gently used items. Books, clothing, glassware, vintage, records/cd/vhs/blu-ray, and many other categories. They are amazingly well organized with all items nicely displayed and clothing items are clean and hanging up. For donations check hours they accept items. For high-value items, they put on eBay to sell to get proceeds. And the proceeds go to help the food bank next door. read more

A bit disappointed based on all the reviews. This was a quick pit stop not far from the highway. I did appreciate how clean this thrift store was. Prices were somewhat high but the quality of items were clean and nice so that balanced out. Why am I giving 2 stars? I had an overall good experience with some nice ladies at the register area but when it came down to one of the ladies stocking the store with items in her cart she was downright rude! I saw a belt and politely asked if it was for sale. She said it was priced incorrectly and she had to display it. What went through my mind was alright let me know how much and I may want to purchase it. But she shoved it closer towards her as if I was going to take it right off and steal from her. Thanks but no thanks, will not recommend this spot even if it's for a good cause. Cranky old lady ruined my time here but I'd recommend the Goodwill in Monument with much nicer employees. read more

Had the same experience as Christina C's review. Saw an item on an unattended store cart. Tried to pick it up when a very rude and huffy employee grabbed the cart and pushed by just so she could put the item on a shelf! Unbelievable! Put back what we were going to get, not giving them my money. Seriously laughable tho that this has happened twice-someone needs to review customer service with their employees! read more

The Treasures thrift store has so many great finds. It's a diamond in the rough in its location, but oh boy! They are making such a great contribution to Douglas and Elbert counties - the thrift store supports so many families in the area who are going through hard times. Plus, my daughter scored a HUGE bear stuffy for 10% of her budget and is in HEAVEN! read more

I've been coming to treasures for 20 years (before it was called treasures) I have seen this store change locations and morph into the beautiful store it is now. I love the vintage section at the front. The store is so well organized, neat and clean. The prices are fair, all the workers are volunteers and all the money stays in the community. They are always running a different sale don't listen to "Trish" down further in the reviews. She doesn't know what she's talking about! read more

Treasures is a wonderful store. It's laid out nicely and neatly. It feels like you're shopping in a consignment boutique. Displays are well done, everything is easy to see and clearly marked. In particular, the toy department is exceptional. Unlike most thrift stores, the toy section is clean and organized. The toys at this store are of a higher quality than that of your average thrift store. You can easily find LEGOs, Disney dolls, and other fun things. Dolls are neatly packaged and priced at about half of what you'd expect to pay on eBay. Those items deemed to be collectibles are displayed separately in the front of the store. Best of all, the money goes to a great cause! read more

I have found so many awesome clothes here, I love to check it out every week or so. Prices are very reasonable. Not sure how they receive their merchandise but it is not your ordinary thrift shop. Store manager is great, all the people are wonderful. read more

Hidden away off the main drag, but worth seeking out as it's the only thrift store in Castle Rock. Some nice items at reasonable prices and lots of jewellery if you're into that sort of thing. Clothing is a bit sparse but if you're seeking household items and/or decor be sure to check it out. A quick note about donating here: Apparently whatever doesn't get processed on the day of donation is discarded. This is troubling if you'd like to see your donation recycled vs thrown away. For that reason alone I will no longer donate to this location. read more

I've lived Castle Rock for over 25yrs. The task force used to be the best place to shop for used items. I would donate all my stuff there as well. Not sure if they are under A new manager, but they've gotten awfully cocky with their pricing and layout. They are running it like an upscale yuppy boutique. For god sake everything is donated for free and they've decided to profit on this, the pricing is overpriced and their vintage wares are priced like they are some kind of fancy antique store... how is this helping the less fortunate? These items are all donated... it's suppose to be a not-for-profit...get off your high horse managment and quit pricing it like it's a ritzy specialty shop. read more

Exceptionally well organized, very interesting finds and they separate some antiques in the front but there are enough of them in the back to still find a good deal if you haven't got the budget for the front of house items. Next to that area, they have larger furniture items which also included some mobility equipment like walkers and crutches. Extensive and orderly book selection by category and an interesting media selection with very intact cassettes, of which I bought a few of for $.50 each. Really liked the pretty arrangements of housewares as well as the very large and varied jewelry selection near the cashiers. I also noticed they have free bread for anyone who wants it by the exit. Although I did not take any, if you know of anyone who's hungry who can tolerate gluten, I think they usually have this offered here regularly. It's at the end of a strip mall kind of building with a dirt parking lot with pavement and sidewalk in front of the store for those with mobility issues. If you do have mobility issues, it would be prudent to get dropped off at the entrance. The food bank is when you first come into the parking lot so if you need that, that is where the office is. Staff was very pleasant and volume of music was reasonable. Will return with donations as well as supporting the place with my purchases. read more

I had SO wanted to support this. But I just can no longer justify the terrible attitudes of the people working there. I have donated items several times, hoping that maybe someone just "had a bad day." Apparently it's just how they roll. Yesterday my daughter brought clothes on hangers but was simply told "we're closed" by two people hanging around outside the back door where donations are taken. There is nothing positive about any attitude I've ever seen...not a smile, not even a "thank you" for either coming in OR DONATING! I'll find somewhere that can at least smile. read more

Okay so after reading the last review I just had to comment. It's unfortunate the person donating item to the Task Force had some bad experiences with the staff. I have personally received help from the Task Force in the form of food, utility bills and clothing. When you have no money and your gas or electric is about to be turned off or there's no food to eat this is what the Task Force is all about. It's not the staff that's thankful for your donation it's me. So on behalf of all the people struggling financially in Douglas County including myself THANK YOU! for donate to this organization.
