Upon learning I was a fan of vintage/thrift shopping, a friend suggested we check out Heirlooms Antique Mall. I mostly frequent the Brass Armadillo and some shops on Colfax, and admittedly didn't know this gem was waiting for me in Aurora. We went on a Saturday late-morning, and were greeted cheerfully and with an excellent explanation of the store. We were offered help as we browsed the locked cases upstairs, and we ambled the huge sprawling basement footprint as well. The sheer size of this place was impressive. There are a variety of item types (records, costume jewelry, taxidermy, kitchen goods, clothing, upcycled decor, etc.) and aesthetic styles, so really something for everyone. We found some particularly fun vendors in the basement. It felt like it could be easy to get carried away here, in the best possible way. Currently, many (most?) of the vendors have a holiday discount in place too, and we managed to walk away with some well priced treasures. Tucked into a busy strip mall in Aurora, lies the hidden gem that is Heirlooms Antique Mall. It may look like just another store front among other businesses from bustling Havana St, but I can assure you, it's more than what meets the eye. I was introduced to this spot via a Yelp event and have been back every single year ever since because inside the two massive levels, are some of the most unique antiques, vintage finds and interesting pieces - yet to be discovered! Various collectors and vintage sellers alike, sell odds and ends throughout the space. Upon entry, it can be overwhelming, but the friendly faces at the front are quick to assist - aka provide directions, sale options and open any cases you may need access to. My husband and I ventured here to look around and easily spent 2 hours looking at each booth, finding things that piqued our interest and ended up coming home with us! I came to this place for a Yelp event and didn't really know what to expect. Boy was I in for a surprise. First of all, this place is huge! There are two floors of literally something for everyone. I was very impressed with how the space was organized. There are many display cases and the employees are great on out opening them if you'd like to examine items more closely or try them on. After getting way too distracted by the amazing and inexpensive gemstones and crystals, I went straight for the jewelry. They have such an eclectic selection and the buyers really have a good eye for interesting pieces. This is the PERFECT place to spend a hot summer day, which we are having no shortage of, or a rainy day, which, well, ditto! Come in here and spend your money. Tell the owner, Scott I said "Hi." Plan to spend at least half a day here at this Mall. There is so much to browse through and nothing is really "categorized". Like an indoor flea market, Heirlooms has such a variety with each vendor selling unique items, from clothing, china, glassware, knick knacks, coins....you get the picture! It's a two level antique hunters dream. Pickers Frank and Mike would be charmed, I'm sure. I came to hunt for vinyl. Some in good condition, others, not so much. I spent an hour at one dealers booth and I didn't even have a chance to finish. He had crates full of all sorts of music genres, my arms got tired of carrying them. The Mall owner (Rick) even offered to help me carry or to hold my finds at the register. So kind! Definitely going to have to come back as the dealers replenish often (some do twice a week) and I just love ooogling at all the antique treasures! read more

Lots of great items! I've probably been to around half a dozen antique shops in the area and this my favorite. The owner, Scott, is very friendly and willing to assist. I was in hunting for "something that I can't really describe but I'll know it when I see it" mode, so I wandered by myself through both levels. Plenty of walk around space, especially downstairs. From afar, Heirlooms Antique Mall doesn't seem like much, but another thrift shop in a random shopping center. The secondhand mall is located in between a Dollar Tree and Aerial Dancing studio. There is a spacious parking lot and lots of room to access the front of Heirlooms. My first visit in February, I brought my younger sister in for a day of sister & me bonding. I saw the typical counters, filled with jewelry, knickknacks and just about anything vintage. We originally were curious to see some of the vintage clothing, but we were caught off guard by the many, many, un-categorized aisles of one-of-a-kind items. I regretted not purchasing a $60.00 Native American painting of a little girl- she was simply astonishing! The mall took us about an hour or two to really soak up all the inventory of glassware, china, toys, books, kitchenware and furniture. There are lot of markdowns on different merchandise at different times. Make sure to take a photo of barcodes or special stickers-- I tried to purchase a painting, but I failed to write that down. The aisles are always changing and new things come and go. If you find something that looks pretty epic, I'd say, buy it. Things tend to sell out fast here. read more

This place is beautiful. They've got just about everything you can possibly think of. I recently went just to check the place out and ended up leaving with framed insects. I think I've found a hobby now definitely got some unique stuff in there, I don't wanna go in detail cause I plan on snagging the good stuff before someone else finds it! Super big store! So much to look at, I was in there for like 2 hours! I was just looking around for some old jars and some taxidermy items and just to look around for fun. They have awesome taxidermy artwork ranging from little wet specimens to medium pieces to even human skulls! They have tons of vinyls, decor, nic nacs, old signs, jewelry, pretty much the perfect antique store! The guy running the place was very friendly and was great to talk to! Another excellent antique mall. Dude working was crazy nice! It has and up and downstairs, so we spent a little over and hour to get through it all. A good variety of antique, vintage, furniture, coins, records, and some oddities. Prices weren't bad at all for an antique place. The staff here was actually the nicest I've ever encountered at an antique store. That's saying a lot because most antique dealers are very personable people. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and told where the sanitizer, bathrooms and coffee station were. They wore masks and required us to, so everyone was very safe. It's a multi-level space packed with antiques of all shapes and sizes - a bit overwhelming if I'm being honest. You could spend hours here and still not see everything. I seriously am sad that I didn't know about this place sooner. My friend and I went in on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised with all the wonderful items. As the shop owner said, it's very eclectic-and so something for everybody. Their jewelry is really gorgeous and I found this beautiful pair of vintage metal sunglasses. Not only were the items really great, but so were the prices. I typically hesitate to go into antique stores because they can be pricey, but everything was beyond reasonably priced here. Those sunglasses I mentioned? $6. I felt like I was actually stealing from the store! Lastly, the staff were very attentive, approachable, and kind. I like coming here when visiting family who live in the area. Lots of nice little things in various rooms and booths. They think a little too highly of some of their furniture items. But you definitely want to buy stuff if you see it, because this place is heavily visited, believe it or not. The bingo parlor next door tends to hog parking spots, and the parking spots are tiny and narrow up front, so plan on parking on the other side of the lot if you're driving anything bigger than a Fiat. I have bought some lovely books and jewelry here.
