This place is a dream for pet owners with anxious dogs when it comes to bathing. Their stalls are all individual so you don't need to share the area with another owner/dog - and has a gate to let your dog go off leash and be totally comfortable. I love Treats Unleashed! It's the only place we get our cat litter, primarily because they run an awesome deal for it. Buy 7 bags get 1 free! We also get canned wet food from here too, and they carry all the brands our kitties love!! This place has everything you need for a cat, but it really goes above and beyond for dogs! There's a dog wash, dog cookies, and just a lot more for dogs in general. Their prices are on par (at least for what we buy) with other local pet stores, but I love that they're locally owned! They bake their own treats and have food for not only dogs and cats. You will find everything from dry food to raw food, treats galore and gifts for your animal loving friends and family. This place wasn't even on my radar a year ago. I was buying my spoiled, rotten *whispers the word d-o-g* her food from a local pet store that was within walking distance of my house. That place ended up going out of business, and because I wanted to keep the d-o-g (honestly, she has NO IDEA) on the same food, I started throwing my business to this place. It's worth the drive, but as a bonus, they deliver for free if your order is over a certain dollar amount. We are big believers in the raw diet & love supporting Doggone Raw, another local business. Two birds, one stone, right? (What an AWFUL expression, especially in a review for a pet store. I honestly don't blame you if you remove points for my use of the expression!) This small local pet store has become our regular since we moved to Tonawanda. They carry the high quality food that we like to buy and have leashes, toys, and knickknacks. They send emails with coupons and also do a points system. Plus they clip your barcodes for eligible food bags. The staff is incredibly friendly and they do little events for holidays. And, if you're looking for gifts at any time of the year, this is a great place to look for friends and family who have dogs or cats. I was so excited when we got our border terrier ornament two Christmases ago. It's so cute on our tree! And it's really hard to find Border Terrier things. They also have picture frames and keychains and other fun in addition to lots of toys for your cat or dog. It looks like they ripped out the guts of an old Hallmark store, threw in a bunch of shelves and ordered a bunch of pet kitsch. Doggie ornaments, doggie pens, doggie magnets, doggie mugs, doggie stickers, doggie bowls, doggie treats, doggie, doggie, doggie EVERYTHING. Everything was on the order of not-cute, your grandma might buy it for you, Hallmark figurine. There is a scary little section in the back of the store full of Cat Crap. I hate cats. Of course the store had the requisite freaky animal lover shopper who looked at me bizarrely and said, "oh, look at the pretty mural. don't you think it's pretty, it's so pretty" in her high-freaky-squeaky voice. I love this store because they sell a variety of great gifts for your friends/family who own pets. The store is pretty, it is unlike other pet stores that look dirty and more like warehouses than retail establishments. But my favorite thing about Treats Unleashed is that they sell only healthy pet food. They don't sell the crappy stuff like purina, hills/science diet, royal canin. They sell good stuff like Dr. Harvey's, Wysong and Merrick's. I drive to Buffalo from St. Catharines, just to buy my dog food there because we don't the healthy brand I want here in my area. This place is GREAT! Kelly S. obviously doesn't know s**t about pets and their needs. They've been in business because they sell the BEST QUALITY pet food in this half of NYS. This is the only petstore in the area that had NONE of the food they sell recalled. I've been going to them since their beginning on NF Blvd. The owners are the nicest people - always helpful and willing to answer questions and concerns. It's great to see a small, LOCAL person try to run a business in this godforsaken, grossly overly taxed, hellhole of a state, let alone actually succeed and expand!
