I've been picking up my flowers and herbs for a couple years here. They've always been great quality, bloom wonderfully, and just generally healthy happy plants (anything contrary to that is because of user error). I also love their hardware. Such pretty pots and vases. Once in awhile, they have pretty good deals. They had a bunch of potted herbs for about $2.00 at the beginning of this summer. We also picked up a bonsai on sale. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so even though the center is huge, it doesn't feel too intimidating.

We spent over 2 hours and left with plants we couldn't find elsewhere, like Birds of Paradise, bougainvillea, blueberry cherry tomatoes, broccolini, and so much more! We bought a blueberry bush last year, and the berries tasted a bit sour, but Valleyview has several varieties, like Jelly Bean! We ended up getting 4 different bushes! We spent several hundred dollars, and returned a few days later to pick up more items! I had to urge my husband to stop - lol This is definitely our go-to place from now on! The shopkeeper was friendly and answered all my questions. The only downside is they are sometimes closed even though the hours are listed as open. However, it wasn't a big deal for me since I live close enough and am at T&T often enough that I can head upstairs for a quick check. One day, my girl and I were supposed to get a birthday present for a friend, and she suggested me this plant shop. When I checked it out on IG, I instantly thought "this is the place!!!!". Boy am I so so so glad Plant It is a permanent store because they have such a variety of adorable plants, pots, decorations and etc. I ended up putting together something for a friend and for my dad (whom I had just had an argument with the day prior). It took a lot to not buy everything in the store. The owner is so sweet, helpful and professional! She packaged my purchases so cleverly to be able to transport them home. I found the building was an era of the past with mismatch rooms, uneven flooring, makeshift extensions. The word relic kept popping into my mind. If you can get beyond that, there are plenty of plants choices, Koi fish, gardening & pond supplies,, pots, lawn ornaments, etc. The prices were on the high side...my wife knows as our own garden is a testament. Purchases must be over $10 to use credit or debit cards. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We made purchases but this was a one and done.

The warehouse manager is kind enough to help load it to my car. It's easier to load that huge bag from this store since this is a warehouse, they have a loading deck for your car to back into. They also cover the bag with a garbage bag so hydroton dust wouldn't get on my car. With a tempting 15% discount on Boxing week, it was an offer too good to pass up. **Update they don't do price matching anymore, at least not beyond 5% off. My recent visit, I didn't end up purchasing the silicate supplement I was intending to get. I was specifically looking for monosilicic acid, yet the brand isn't stocked here. Apparently the monosilicic version, is easier to absorb for plants. Despite this, since the store was conveniently located near my other errands, I decided to stop by maybe for another brand. Unfortunately, they couldn't match the price from another Toronto retailer, prompting me to defer my purchase until my friend can reach a different hydroponics store that carries the brand I wanted. The rates for nutrients and supplements isn't as competitive on regular occasions but I'll definite consider coming here for nursery pots, hydroponic accessories and planting mediums like perlite and leca/hydroton. Keep in mind selection is not as strong for those who are looking for houseplant hydroponic needs (e.g. no pon, moss poles, sphagnum moss, etc). Now, what exactly does silicic acid do for your plants? It's somewhat of a niche supplement, for enhancing a plant's drought and pest resistance. Some enthusiasts even claim it can help variegated leaves retain their vibrant white hues more effectively. While not necessarily a must-have, it's undoubtedly a nice addition for plant lovers looking to optimize their plant's health and aesthetics.

The trees here are all healthy and much bigger than you will find at a big box garden centre. This trip I found a very full Hilly Yew which was much taller than any available at other centers.
