This was my third year purchasing a tree from Tree Riders NYC. I love their service and the gentleman who sets up the trees is amazing, however, this year the all in cost of a 6 foot tree was just shy of $230.00, up $54.55 from the price of the same sized tree last year. Although the tree was beautiful, this is the first year I felt that I was being taken advantage of. I was hoping to use them in the future but now I am not so sure. I think they have priced me out!! Amazing! Believe the HYPE! Go here to buy your Christmas tree! You will not be disappointed. We just bought a 7.5 ft tree from Edward for $150, and we are so happy with it. Buying a Christmas tree in NYC can be hard! Most of the tree stands are so overpriced, but not this one! We were so happy to find out that this Christmas tree market was VERY reasonably priced for NYC, and in line with national averages. This is NYC people. Things here are always way more that that national average, but not at Tree Riders. What a nice experience it was nice to get a beautiful tree for a good price. We are very "particular" and often look at 5 - 6 trees, but we ended up buying the first tree Edward showed us. It has a great shape and Edward was able to tell us where the tree was from and they it was freshly cut. The tree smells great. On top of the crew that runs this business is local New Yorkers who are involved in that arts and the Saint Marks Church theater and artistic events. What a find. My husband's family is from NYC and we've lived in many different neighborhoods - Tree Riders is the BEST place to get Christmas trees in the entire city. They have trees at every height and at every price point. The team is so helpful in finding the right tree for you (especially Jeremy!) and they go down south to cut the trees themselves in the last week of November. Other places cut them in October so they aren't as fresh. Every year we leave the tree up till February and it still looks amazing. Also, their delivery service is really convenient - they bring it to your apartment and set it up in your stand for you. Henry was really helpful delivering our tree this year! read more

The best customer service I ever received in my life. They really care about how happy you are with your tree. Unfortunately my tree didn't bring up any water and it dried out. All I had asked was to have the bottom recut to see if it would soak up water. Someone came by to look and see if it could be saved, and unfortunately it couldn't. They delivered a selection of trees to my home, and let me pick out which one I liked best. They even disposed of the old tree--all free of charge. I will always come back to them every single year, and definitely recommend them to my friends. read more

Finding a reliable Christmas tree provider in NYC is tricky. Either the trees are really high quality but cost $300+ (or they seemingly make up the price each time you stop by) or the trees are really low quality and the prices are still mediocre at best. When I turned to Yelp and found Tree Riders their reviews seemed a little too far fetched to believe. They weren't far from my apartment so I trudged over and, lo and behold, the reviews were spot on. We spent about $50-$60 (it's been a few months obviously), and they were so sweet as well. Our tree lasted well into the New Year until the first or second week of January. Well worth the purchase. Hope they're back next year, too! read more

Tree Riders is by far the best option for Christmas trees in the Greenwich Village/Union Square area. It's worth walking a few blocks east to save major money and the staff is super friendly and helpful! $50 for a 5.5ft tree and $20 for a stand. Apparently, taxis will take trees if you open their trunk quickly :) The vendor on 7th Ave. and Christopher is trying to charge $150 for the same sized tree - that should be illegal!! $150 for a small Christmas tree? They are trying to rob people during the holidays. Go to Tree Riders!! read more

New Apartment and was excited to get my first Christmas Tree for it this year, and was very keen on the idea of supporting small businesses with my of my holiday purchases this year. I've been to about 6 other tree stands this year, one of which the guy literally started raising the price as he could see the excitement and complete bewilderment as a first time tree buyer. I know everyone is looking to make money, and I can totally appreciate that, especially when you business spans for 4 weeks and your out 24/7, but was really disappointed when feeling like I was being taken advantage of. I have to say Tree Riders was one of the best and most genuine customer service experiences I have had this year. Honest, really patient ( I looked at my leisure, and asked am embarrassing number of questions) and really fair price and a stand for a small tree. Been getting a tree here every year since they opened. Reasonable prices, beautifully made, full wreaths, and I especially love it that my trees last into January without dropping needles. We just got our Christmas tree from Tree Riders and they provided terrific service. Edward was super nice and showed us multiple trees. The tree we got looks very healthy and full. We choose to have it delivered and they showed up in 45 minutes and quickly set up the tree. The delivery guy was also extremely nice and happily waited as we were still 5 minutes away.
