Dave helped us out and he was terrific - super helpful, explained everything well and encouraged us to open up some of the new trees they got in to ensure we got the perfect one for us. Every year, the only Black Friday shopping my wife and I do is for a 10 foot tree. We had never been to Hester's before but he came highly recommended from a trusted friend. We were greeted by Hester who, although wearing a grinch shirt, was very friendly. He asked Mike to help us find a tree and he did a great job finding a beauty. The yearly Black Friday tradition... stuffing the family into the '74 Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon (it gets 10 miles to the gallon!), finding a local spot for breakfast and then hitting Hester's for a real tree. We've been coming for about a decade now and always happy with the variety and quality of trees (as well as wreaths, grave blankets, etc.) on their lot. Probably not surprising but... every year the cost has been climbing up about another $20.  This year's Fraser fir was a tad over $100.  (Ouch!  I yearn for those days when it was around $60.) Every year the tree we pick looks great and smells even better (and permeates throughout the house all season long). It's sturdy enough to handle all of our ornaments (especially those homemade ones from when my kids were little). The tree will drink a ridiculous amount of water (no joke) but stay green right through to the Feast of the Three Kings (try to take it down any earlier and you'll be dealing with the wrath of my better-half!). The crew working are always super cool and helpful. Parking/loading up the car with your tree can be tricky. And driving past Hester's at night will make you think you're in a Hallmark Christmas movie. read more

SHAWN AND CHARLES ARE THE BEST !!! They have the best trees too and for a really good price!! I saw trees in nyc for 160 $ that were half the size and quality. you can get a nice 7-9 foot tree for 90 bucks, no gaps, they cut the stems, and they wrap it for you when you're done. But to be honest, I would put two Christmas trees in my house just to have the excuse to go back and talk to those nice fellas over there. 10/10 customer service. Genuine and homegrown people that you really take for granted . Truly it was a nice breath of fresh air. And I left with an amazing tree. read more

Hester's is that old school Christmas Tree Farm you grew up with that you thought didn't exist anymore, but it does! Complete with quaint funny signs hanging around the lot, the trees and wreathes are fresh, well cared for and gorgeous. Very reasonably priced - and the staff is super friendly and very helpful. In particular Sean was outstanding in helping us pick our tree, wrap it up and get it onto our car. (If every workplace had someone like Sean working there, the world would be a perfect happy place.)
