Caitlyn is a useless property manager who never shows up to do her job. She will lie and make up excuses as to why she's not answering if she ever does. She is running that place even farther into the ground than it already was (it's funny because that complex is literally a sinkhole waiting to happen!). Never saw a lick of my security deposit nor did I receive an itemized bill for anything. A friend recommended the treehouse but you literally cannot get in contact with anyone. I've tried for months to get any information. I've shown up 3 different times to try and tour or get any info and it's impossible. I've called countless times with only one answered call where a rude lady told me to email her instead of call her. I did that and never heard back. Don't use their website to chat with them as you're gonna get one short response and then be ghosted. The times I've stopped at the treehouse I've talked to current residents that say they can NEVER get in contact with management. The last visit my family and I saw the maintenance guy and he was very rude and said he had no way to contact anyone from the leasing side. I genuinely don't understand how they are in business. Worst apartments ever. Infested with roaches and didn't even know we lived there even though we paid rent for over a year. HORRIBLE

At first it seemed like an alright place to live until I stopped getting responses to my emails. Almost two months later I received an email from the property manager saying the leasing agent was going through an investigation for fraud due to her pocketing checks from tenants and those who submitted their applications and deposits. The manager STILL refused to answer any emails or calls when I decided I no longer wanted to rent here and I had to physically go up to treehouse in order to get back my application packet since there's sensitive information on there. read more

Great facilities, great management. Maintenance will come the same day you request and almost always fix it that day if possible. Only complaint is that I wasn't able to upgrade to a large apartment when I renewed my lease because I would have had to re-pay the application fee, security deposit, and pet deposit, and I couldn't afford justify that. Prices are reasonable and a good location if you're a student. read more

I've been living here for the past two years and it has been good. Its inexpensive, close to campus, and pet friendly. Maintenance responds quickly to any requests. The buildings are older but everything works just fine. The only real downside is the traffic due to the close proximity to campus and Kyle Field. read more

Do NOT live here. Rents cheap, but they screw you with fees after you move out. All they care about is getting your money. I left my apartment in better condition than it was before i moved in and they still somehow managed to charge me over $700 in cleaning and repair fees. read more

Treehouse is definitely one of the lowest prices you'll find for acceptable value and location. However, one thing that ended up being really inconvenient was being unable to pay for bills and rent online. It doesn't seem that bad, but treehouse actually misplaced a money order for my rent. I went through western union and their refund process requires mailing the receipt and $15 to them, and waiting 30 days for processing. They were reasonable in extending the time I had to get them another check, but it was an extremely inconvenient waste of my time to go through the refund process. Especially when I already went through the inconvenience of not having online bill pay. Not to mention it cost me another $15. If you live here, make sure to hand them everything physically, or risk it being lost. Or, get the money order through a bank so you don't have to deal with mailing Western Union. It's not a bad place, especially for the price, but losing money orders and checks is a huge no. read more

I have lived here for about 7 months now and am loving it so far. It seems like a quiet community which I really like and it is right next to campus. The apartments are dated, but you can definitely make them feel homey and nice. The management has been great to me so far, so no problems there. I have had some issues with my AC but every time I put in a maintenance request someone comes out within a couple of hours and management has not given me a hard time about it at all. I was nervous about not having a washer/dryer in my apartment but the laundry facilities that the complex provides are very nice, clean and cheap! Also, I have seen other comments about how the internet doesn't work but I haven't had any problems with that either. I got a nicer router and modem and can play Netflix, get on my computer and be on my phone with no problems at all. read more

My son has been there for this year and is going to stay for his senior year. It is the best price for the location and what they have to offer. I think a number of students get so used to these fancy new apartments (my son was in one of those for his 1st 2 years) that they have to come down to reality and realize that Treehouse is no different that any other traditional apartment out there that has been around for a number of years. They work with students to help them understand real world dynamics of apartment living. read more

DON'T live here! DON'T MOVE IN!!!They will eat all of your deposit once you leave. They will charge you over $200 if you have one small item left in the kitchen! During the spring, this apartment has many cockroach in the kitchen even though you clean the kitchen pretty well and sometimes cockroach will climb up to your bed if your bedroom is close to kitchen. Property manager is rude and impatient when you ask questions. I will tell all of my friend not to move in even when all the apartments in the CS area are gone. Think before you move! read more

UPDATED-The management is terrible. My bf went in to pay my rent because I was out of town and my check said 16 instead of 17 and they wouldn't accept it even if he changed it and initialed it for me. Late fees are ridiculous. No one picks up their dog poop which sucks because there's limited grass space and they put a random note on my door once saying I'm not following the pet addendum (even though I was ?) and that I would be fined if I broke the rules again. I DIDNT BREAK ANY RULES BTW. The people who live there are nice though and it's very quiet but one time I left for a break and came back and my door was all messed up and it looked like someone had tried to break in. Also creepers walk around the parking lot and stand around at night. Also a weird new flirty maintenance guy. Once I threw a piece of mail in the dog poop trash can and someone took it out and pinned it on my door. (when I called to report this unsettling incident and ask if anything weird ever happens in the complex I got a very rude "Ma'am if you're ever feeling unsafe you should call 911". EXCUSE ME FOR TRYING TO GET TO KNOW MY APT COMPLEX) Rent for a one bedroom is expensive when you add in the other stuff because you have to buy your own cable and Internet. Utilities is absolutely unpredictable because sometimes it's $16 and sometimes it's $97. The office completely shuts down for an HOUR so they can have a lunch break (I don't get a lunch break at my job???) and they are closed for like every holiday for an excessive amount of time and they're completely closed down on sundays all of which are incredibly inconvenient. I've never lived anywhere with such terrible office hours. You can't pay online you have to go in and pay by check. Me and my next door neighbor split wifi so for us it's $37 a month but since the router is in her apartment I get terrible signal and the wifi set up for the actual complex to use if you opt to not get suddenlink doesn't even work and I called the guy who set it up to come out an extension closer to my apartment and he came and talked my ear off and then when it came time for getting me wifi THE EXTENDER DIDNT WORK. The whole complex is basically a series of scams to get money from you. When I was gone over summer they said they were gonna fine everyone in my building for not picking up poop and I emailed them and asked to please not fine me because I'm not even in town for the break but when I am in town I pick up my dogs poop and they didn't answer. Also once before I lived there, everyone dropped their rent check in their drop box and someone stole all the checks and they still made everyone re pay their rent. Not to mention my bff has tried multiple times to apply for an apartment there and they declined her when her guarantor faxed over forms that had like half a letter cut off on the side due to her uncles faxing machine size. And when she called to discuss a different apartment the girl in the office just talked over her loudly in circles and said the same thing again and again and didn't listen to a thing she was trying to say. I saw the management going around putting up posters on reminding tenants to resign and watched her skip my door THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. Furthermore, when I called to ask about how soon I could resign I was told to contact the manager who I tried but I evidently had the wrong phone number and they did not call me on the matter until a month later, the Monday of spring break saying I had to sign by that Friday. I know it sounds overkill thinking they purposely called me while I was out of town all week unable to resign but it was just another thing to add to my list of unhappiness here and I wish they could have told me at a time I wasn't already across the country the week I needed to resign but whatever I guess. Lastly on the night of move out I had my boyfriend go back to move a few things out and we didn't realize until after he turned my key in that he forgot to empty my medicine cabinet which contained medication to control my epilepsy. When I called the emergency number for the complex I got an answering machine that made me press 3 to continue if I had been in an emergency or locked out and since I was locked out I pressed 3 expecting help. The woman on the other end made sure to tell me that the line was for emergency use only and was very rude about it when I mentioned that the answering machine included lockouts as an emergency. Then I left a voice mail for the main office and they emailed me back saying that I was not allowed back into my apartment for my life saving seizure medication. So yeah. Don't live here. UPDATE: after they directly violated the ADA by refusing to let me have my medication my father wrote the corporate owners of treehouse to address the many many issues this apartment complex has and still has had no response. Secondly I have heard multiple rumors of people being screwed out of their $425 deposit and I have yet to hear back about mine. read more

Just moved my son in this week. It is very nice, big, clean new carpet, freshly painted walls and most importantly - super friendly management and quick, capable and knowledgable maintenance men. Great for the price and super clase to A&M University. My son is thrilled and I am pleasantly surprized...since I wasn't with him when he picked it out. It's great! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! This place is the worst. I mean, I guess a roach infested hole-in-the-wall in New York City would be worse, but Treehouse is pretty low on the scale. There's a lot I could say about this place, but I'll just say a few things: -When I moved in my door had no lock, and when they finally got around to putting one in a few days later they did not inform me or give me the key, so I had to call emergency maintenance to get inside my unit. -My cat found a dead mouse in the kitchen -Many things were broken when I moved in. The carpet was stained (which is no big deal), the light over the sink didn't work, and the windows do not lock or even close properly. -Many things have broken since I moved in, and only a few have been replaced. I have filed countless work orders but my disposal, shower curtain rod, toilet paper holder, and kitchen light remain broken. -The water goes on and off constantly...they hardly ever warn you when they're going to do water maintenance. Also expect to have no hot water for about a day after they finish a scheduled pipe maintenance. -The staff is rude and unprofessional, especially Shannon, the manager. She is nasty to me and my parents, who pay for this apartment, and tells outright lies to us. -The fusebox flips off by itself regularly. It fried the refrigerator (which they had to replace) and the DVR I rent from Suddenlink on two different occasions. -They come in and out of your apartment without notifying you, yet when you call in a maintenance issue they claim that they cannot enter the apartment without your written permission...hmmmm... -The insulation is terrible and the AC barely works. The only time they've ever fixed it or changed the filter was when the guy downstairs noticed that my AC unit was leaking onto his wall...as soon as Treehouse realized their property might be damaged they perked up, but they don't give a flying f*** if I die of heat stroke and still pay a ridiculously high energy bill. Overview: Treehouse is a bad place. If I hadn't moved in such a hurry I would have never lived there. The only good points are its location near campus and two bus stops. Still, just go next door to Stadium View, it's much nicer. read more
