She paid cash for the home and for all site preparation and setup, The home arrived on Atkinson Homes lot in June. It is now nearly October and the home is still not setup. The site prep was terrible. The home nearly flipped coming up the driveway they installed because it was soft and too narrow. The septic tank popped out of the ground just after it was improperly installed. The roof leaked during the first rain. No utilities, no air conditioner unit, no block skirting, large mud hole at the front door. All Atkinson Homes offers are weak excuses. I would give zero stars if possible. Avoid this company at all costs.

I had the home build, since they did not have a 2 bedroom unit on their lot. After only a few weeks my home was delivered to their place. Then within another couple days it was delivered to my lot and leveled up by a good crew. Delivery was included in the price. Not long after, a guy came and installed the underpinning within a few hours and it looks great! This was included in the price. Atkinson has a guy who works for them that fixes anything that needs it, such as correcting doors that may not latch well. The guys name is John. He did a great job with the few things that needed adjusting! He also mounted the glass storm door, which I love!! This was included in the price. You can't go wrong buying from Atkinson. And no, they did not ask for this review. They've never mentioned giving them a review of any kind. Heidi did a WONDERFUL JOB handling all of the follow-up tasks mentioned above.

The issues we have had been ridiculous, buying things online? Impossible. No matter if you have bought something multiples times from a certain site like Amazon or others and no matter the cost. YOUR CARD WILL BE DECLINED. Going to the store right next to your house? Your card will be declined. Another point, I have called multiple times and spoke to different people, all have been rude for no reason. Before I ever got slightly upset, they were getting upset and becoming hard to work with. Making snide comments and not listening to my entire question before they retort with some smartypants answer that didn't explain why their bank was failing me. The online banking is awful as well, you won't be able to log into that either, once they reset it for you you will be able to get on but once you log back out you will run into a wall again. I can go on and on here but if you are looking for a new bank DO NOT CHOOSE FIRST BANK OF ALABAMA!
