We started at treetop at the beginning of the school year. At that time, our 1st grader and 3rd grader were both below grade level for language arts. Our youngest spent all of Kinder in distance learning and our oldest was out of the classroom for a year and a half. I was worried we would never catch back up. My son hates writing, full stop. Entering Middle School this year I knew I would need to find him some help and make sure he knew the right was to write an essay and hopefully make it fun. Found Treetop because it is across the street from where my daughter takes dance. Figured let's give this a try. He started going 2x weekly and he got the help he needed. He even said he was enjoying it. His grade in English hasn't dipped below a 95 all year. So then we turned our attention to math. This has always been a subject he had no issues with. But this was now Advanced Middle School math after basically a 1.5years without what I would call a normal math lesson. He was struggling -- getting 68-79 on his math tests. So, we turned our focus to there and since January, Christine has been helping him 2 days a week - helping with homework and getting him ready for tests - and it's paid off! On his last 3 tests he has gotten a 93, 93 and today was a 98. The math isn't getting easier by the way. He's got a real shot at straight As this semester and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of Treetop.
