I've been getting highlights here for probably about two years now and it has been great up until this experience. Nani was my stylist and usually gives me exactly what I want but I felt as though she didn't put as much care into my hair as usual during this visit. All I wanted to do was retouch the root because we had a really good base during my last couple visits and she completely dropped the ball. Someone was getting my hair done for me as a gift and I feel as though their money was totally wasted due to this situation. It doesn't line up with my hair part, it's blotchy and my bangs were cut like I used kitchen scissors at home. I didn't mention anything about it at the time because I was in a hurry to get to work, she put curls in my hair, and it wasn't until I saw it straight where I really saw the issues showcasing themselves. Sure I feel bad for her er situation & hope all goes well, but there's enough technology to keep track of business appointments. Asks if she wants me to blow dry it. Its literally dripping down my back. She then tells me that the next appointment is always early and that her time management is off and she schedules too close. I went in for a cut and a touch up root color. I explained 45 minutes I was growing out a bad cut. It was OVER texturized! I have white hair not grey. The color was not even matching my own color. No additive for gray in processing of color. The owner asked her as well what color she used as I was processing. My hair is dark brown. The touch up roots were medium brown!. I am capable of doing my own color as a pro. Once the cut comenced she proceeds to Flippin texturize my hair. 45 minutes I said NOT to!!! I wanted to treat myself for waiting 3 months to grow out the previous cut. Now it's texturized short and one side is shorter than the other. I paid 70 dollars. Jennifer is garbage. She has seen me twice and third time did a $2 perm from Sally's on me and completely burned my hair off. She did not apologize for it. She didn't have the audacity to tell me what had happened to my hair until I asked about it. So freakin unbelievable and unprofessional. Do not go here and let them mess up your hair. They're 2 doors down from a Sally's so all they're products are sally products. Nothing is salon professional in this place. Last time I go here! This was my FIRST time going to a hair salon in San Diego since I recently moved here. I was looking aroung in yelp and I came across this salon, I had called I believe is the manager Ana, I explained to her I have really thin hair and it was not so long probably where my bra line is.. I just wanted to color my hair one color (my hair was an ashy brown/blonde) and wanted to color it just a chocolate brown to match these extensions I had bought and a haircut. She explained to me it was $65-$70 the most. I get there, let her know I have an appointment, I showed her my extension color she had one of the girls who worked with her try to match the color. They took a while and it seemed like they didn't know what color to mix to make it a chocolate brown!!!! Finally she was able to mix the colors, dyed my hair and cut it. In the end I asked how much it was she mentioned $110...in my head I was like she just said it was $65-$70 when i had made the appointment..let alone she didnt even use treatment in my hair!!!! Then I go pay and they end up charging me $130!!!!!! They mentioned I would have to go back in 3 weeks to re dye my hair.. Next day I shower, and my ash brown/blonde is showing again. Looks like the hair dye had fallen out once you wash your hair. NEVER AGAIN will I spend my money here!!! I would much rather drive 2 hours to my original hair lady then pay this salon again..it was such a waste of money to me!!!! And they kept changing their prices on me!!! read more
