I didn't hear from anyone so we called back again 3 days later. I spoke to Ashley and she was very curt and said someone would get back to me on Tuesday. I told her I would like to speak to someone that could help me and instead she kept saying I was being rude. Finally I asked for the manager instead of her and she said "a member of the management team" will get back to you next week. Unacceptable. Her attitude was angry and dismissive. RUN I noticed on my third (and very much final) visit that I'm consistently the only woman in the salon getting my hair done. It's only men, children, and an occasional elderly woman. I have spent anywhere ranging from $300 to over $500 a trip and have left each time looking like I got butchered at a hair school. My request yesterday was simply "please get the orange out and make it brown". Brown. And this to try to amend for the last time I left with orange and yellow hair. How a request of "brown" ended in me rocking the Ginger Spice and all of my hair broken, I just can't say. But I paid $326 and they sent me away saying they'd fix it for free. Well, third strike. I can't go to work like this so I'm going to have to buy box dye. I am livid. I paid someone $326 to destroy what little health my hair had and what little self-esteem I was still clinging on to. I have been going to this salon for years now. I have never once had a bad experience. They use Aveda products in this salon and I love the hot herbal tea they offer their clients. The place itself is very clean and well lit with happy music playing in the background. I have had multiple haircuts and a massage or two here. They do a great job with my hair. All the stylists here are fantastic but Sheridan is my favorite!! Also Lauren the massage therapist is so talented I can't say enough about her!! I feel like a mountain has been lifted off my shoulders every-time I get a massage. They are pretty flexible and try to work around my unpredictable schedule. Salon Fleur de Lis is an Aveda Salon, so they only use high-quality botanical-based beauty and haircare products. It's really simple to book an appointment by requesting one online or calling in. You can sign up for text messages to remind you of your appointment time, which is helpful if you are forgetful because life gets so busy. Also make sure to sign up for Aveda's Pure Privilege rewards program at this salon to earn points and coupons. Upon walking in the doors you'll be greeted by the front desk receptionists where you'll check in for your appointment and be asked if you want anything to drink. The salon got remodeled this year, and it has a nice, relaxing atmosphere full of friendly stylists. I've only used two stylists consistently, but they are both phenomenal. I began seeing Rachel when I first came to the salon needing to have a bad black hair dye job removed from my natural brown hair. Rachel is really kind, listens well, and is a master with hair colors. She was able to pull the black dyes from my hair using methods to reduce the amount of damage. When Rachel was so booked I couldn't get an appointment that worked with my schedule (because she's that awesome) I met Erin. Erin is super spunky and cool. She really listens to what you want and does her best to create your vision. I had to have a lot of hair cut due to hea damage, and Erin has helped get my hair back to a healthy place. I even used Salon Fleur de Lis for my wedding hair before I went downtown to the courthouse to get married last December. Great hair salon with a killer staff. My first visit here was to correct a horrible haircut from a salon school in the city that will remain unnamed. My hair was a Macklemore-Hitler Youth bastardized mix. Pretty gross. However, the friendly stylists at Salon Fleur de Lis fixed it right up on my first visit. I'm terrible at giving directions and prefer to rely on my stylist to do something that looks trendy and professional. I was not disappointed. I've had 3 different stylists work with me here and each has been great (I didn't switch for any particular reason - my schedule is whack). For men's cuts they're reasonably priced, and they always offer a wash and scalp massage before the do the 'dos. If you arrive early, which I admittedly struggle with, they provide a complimentary water, beer, wine, tea, or coffee. Pretty great way to wait. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Finally made my return to Salon Fleur de Lis last night after a much too long hiatus. I love the hours here - my last salon closed at 6 and just doesn't work for a 9-5er. My former roommate recommended the salon and now 2 other friends also go here :-) Sally was very friendly and gave her recommendation for my hair. She added some much needed volume and a cute bang. She also provided advice on how to keep it from looking flat. Very happy! I really love the scalp messages they offer, great start to the hair cut and very relaxing. The only thing that's annoying is their push to purchase products - It wasn't as bad last night but I'm an awkward person and don't like things pushed on me. I went here for the first time today and I absolutely loved it! The salon was pretty spotless and every stylist was so friendly! Lauren colored my hair and before even touching it, she made sure that she understood EXACTLY what I wanted and 100% delivered! I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone! I loved it! HOWEVER.. I had to go back about 2 weeks later because my hair started to turn grey. I am not sure why I am the one who ended up paying this when it wasn't my fault that the color changed and I wasn't warned it would change colors. It wasn't my fault. On top of that - it took her almost a full hour to wash and dry my hair. That was completely excessive to me. I'm not sure I'll be going back there in the future. First experience was great.. second experience was unnecessary and a little ridiculous that I paid more money to fix my hair than do it originally when it wasn't my fault. read more

Not only did I look and feel beautiful on my wedding day, when the salon that I had originally booked a year in advance backed out three weeks before the wedding, Shay and everyone at Salon Fleur de Lis worked so hard to rearrange their schedule that Saturday to be able to fit in myself and my four bridesmaids. I was so incredibly grateful and they did a phenomenal job! I had my hair and makeup done and my bridesmaids had their hair done. They were able to get me in for a trial two weeks prior to the wedding (which I definitely recommend) to work out details and they day of went flawlessly.
