Came for their birthday promo during my birthday month. The salon was busy but they had lots of workers and everyone seemed really experienced. I called ahead to make an appointment and they said it was fine to just walk in. I wanted dip powder and only waited like 5-10 minutes before starting. My nail tech asked me "you want round or square nails?" And I said "Round". She shaped them and I liked them. I really liked how precise and detailed she was. The only issue was at checkout she charged extra for the nail shape and I had no idea. I wish they would let you know ahead of time because it felt a little surprising and I don't want to be asking constantly while they're working on my nails. Everyone around me was super friendly and chatty and I made friends. The girl next to me was getting designs and they did great with hers too! I would definitely come back, overall, amazing job. read more

I always have an amazing time at the Ladue nails and spa. The people there always are so friendly and are ready to do whatever design you show them. The place is always clean and they have TVs on both sides of the room so you don't get bored. I would highly recommend going here to get your nails done. read more

My friend and I made appointments to get pedicures. We showed up about 10 minutes early and they sat us both down in chairs within 5 which was great. They got started on my toes but didn't start on my friends til 40 minutes after our appointment time. They were busy but we thought that was a bit long since we had an appointment. They did a good job on our toes and we were happy in the end. read more

Best gel manicure I've had in St. Louis. They have a great polish selection and helped me achieve the perfect glazed donut nails. Service was a bit slow with one person switching to work on me and my friends' nails but they were understandably busy and we didn't mind. read more

I tend to be on the nicer side of Yelp reviewers but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I went in to get my dip nails removed, and was planning on getting a manicure while I was there. However as soon as I said I wanted my powder removed I started getting annoyed looks and you could tell they didn't want to do it. I know it can be annoying but that's why I was originally planning to do a manicure as well. HOWEVER, after seeing how rude the establishment was clearly fight over who was going to remove the polish I decided to skip the manicure because at that point I was just annoyed. Further more the tech cut me with the file and didn't apologize or even acknowledge it until I asked her if she could be a little careful when I noticed she was about to keep hurting the nails. Definitely would not recommend for a relaxing day. read more

I decided to try this nail salon per recommendation - despite all of the negative reviews...and the negative reviews prove to be true.... I went in to get my nails done, and not only are the prices outrageous, they rushed me through, obviously only wanted my money. Not even 4 hours went by and every single one of my gel nails chipped. So, I went back in to get it fixed, and they happily fixed it, but then blamed it on me. Which fine, if that's how it's going to be then that's how it's going to be, but within 5 hours of the fix. The gel paint chipped off again... at other Salons they typically strip the nail then repaint rather than just paint over it and try to seal the chip. I just think their attitude and service is tasteless.... So if you want a quick service and have money to waste...sure pick them, but if you want a job well done....take your business elsewhere.... read more

Grew up in the STL area and moved away, recently (ish) moved back and went back to this location much to my distain. The location in Clayton has always had much better service and quality of service. I got a gel mani pedi at this location. The woman shot water all over me in the pedicure chair. Which sucked but I wouldn't have minded if the service was good. They overcharged me by $25 (as I got the same exact service done at the Clayton location a month prior to this visit). The manicure was fine. But she forgot to put the top coat on several of my toes for the gel pedicure. So I'm currently at the Clayton location spending more more to fix Frontenac's mess up. This location was always worse in high school (I graduated 2015 for reference) but I was hoping that it had improved. Absolutely not. Will not be coming back again. Absolutely disgusted with the lack of morals and awful service. read more

Why oh why do I continue to return to this nail salon??!! This place is pricey and not up to the standards that the many other neighboring nail salons offer. I ventured in on a Friday afternoon for a dip manicure. It took over an hour for this service to be completed and cost about $40. Less than two weeks later, I returned to have that dip mani removed and was charged $8 for the removal - Most other places do NOT charge a fee if the original nail service was done there. To give my nails a little break I just got a regular manicure ($15) which was also, disappointing (no hand massage at all). read more

Ladue Nails is always clean and the staff is always friendly. It's a great location and they have a nice selection of nail colors. They are one of the few shops left that still has a $12 manicure. This location is racist and will only service you if you are willing to spend a lot on nails. Even though I came in to get a manicure, they took someone who came after me - after all, she said she wanted a gel manicure. Then, as the bitter lady was taking off my gel manicure, she complained and basically said that if I didn't want a gel manicure, it was a "waste of her time, because other customers would make her more money!" Who says this!?!?! read more

My sister and I came to this location for dip manicures because we had gift certificates. We were helped right away, which was nice, but the manicures were not as we expected. My sister needed her precious dip removed, which consisted of the standard acetone-soaked cotton wrapped in foil, but then they put her hands in heating gloves (she said this was really uncomfortable). Her nail tech then removed the dip but left chunks of cotton on her fingers. She wasn't given time to pick a color before the heating glove situation, so the tech pretty much ended up picking her color. Her cuticle was cut too deep and she bled a little afterwards. We were both confused in that the normal dip top coat was not used, but rather LED shellac top coat, which made the colors we picked not come out true to the swatch. Additionally, our nails do not feel as hard and sturdy as they do when the dip specific top coat is used. Our mom has been there before for a dip and her polish came off within a week, probably because the wrong top coat was used... we will see how ours last. The customer service wasn't horrible, but the quality of the nail service was very disappointing. read more

I went in and got a powder dip manicure. I have had this style of manicure a few times before. My experience there was much longer. They were able to get me in right away and everyone was friendly. But this experience took over an hour vs the 20-30 min it has in the past at other places. Plus, when she was "done" my nails were not smooth. They looked almost matte and a bit bumpy. I mentioned this as I was paying (after seeing it in the natural light). She said "yeah, that is our top coat - it's not too shiny..." She did then offer to put a gel top coat on. This fixed it and my nails looked really good after. Just disappointed that I had to ask her about it. Also, it was $40 compared to the $25-$30 I have spent at other salons. So after adding in an $8 tip making my total $48- I won't be back there for a powder dip manicure. ***Update The topcoat peeled from my nails two days after my appt. read more

Unfortunately, I have seen steep decline in the customer service at this location. It used to be my go to nail salon but the past few experiences have been lacking in service. Most recently, this week I went for a manicure. I signed in and waited and a tech came to buff my nails with a bare metal (the kind you use for acrylic nails, I only had gel o) nail buffer then began soaking my nails. Another tech came over to do the new manicure. I was never asked why type of manicure I wanted. I even prompted the question a number of times by asking if they still do the more in-depth manicures and expressed a few times I wished for one of the more advance manicure. She never offered and then another nail tech chimed in and said you can get that next time? My response, I would like a spa manicure this time. Very base manicure, minimal services and it was $25. 3 layers of polish and very streaky. My cuticles are very messy and does not look like I paid for a professional manicure. I will be looking for a new salon. read more

Asked for a gel pedicure. The lady at the front desk told me it was $30, she lied. It ending up being $45. On top of that my tech was really rude, hurt my skin & did a horrible job! I was very dissatisfied. Since they were busy, she told me to come back later that night and that Lucy would fix them for me. I come back and guess what.. Lucy isn't here. Walked in on a Friday morning for a gel mani and regular pedicure and was helped right away. Thuy did an amazing job and was very nice. Did try to up-sell for a deluxe pedicure plus massage, but can't blame the girl for hustling. Deducted a star because while I was trying to decide on a nail color I felt that they were rushing me. I was on a phone call while looking and she came and stood behind me and was asking if I wanted to try the colors. Otherwise, happy with overall experience. Will be returning. read more

The place is great -- well ventilated, clean, organized. However... I went to get my gel off. The woman was not very thorough. She scraped off most of it and then rubbed the cuticle oil on my fingers. I inspected them briefly and noticed that there were still chunks of gel on my nails that I had to ask her to scrape off again. Even after I left I scratched some off myself. read more

The service was absolutely awful. They rushed through doing my nails. I think the woman finished my gel manicure and pedicure in 45 minutes. My gel manicure started chipping after only two days. I have gone here for years but had stopped going for awhile to try Tints. I don't think I will ever return because the service just isn't great. read more

I live very close, so I WANT to like this place for convenience. However, I have left feeling upset each time I have been there. I've gone to get my brows waxed three times, and every single time the person has made rude comments about them. Sorry, I'm here to get them waxed because I know I need to... and sorry I'm busy and can't come weekly. Geez. The one time I got a gel manicure, it was peeling off in five days. The place was empty, which I thought was weird. But after I got started with my manicure i shortly found out why. They were super rude. Wouldn't help pick a color. Had to ask for color switches. Ask a couple questions to start a convo, all I got was I don't know. I'll never be bAck. Tons of other nail places to chose from in the area. read more

Then three days later on my vacation one of the nails came off. The nails continued to come off each day and I was sad that I didn't really get what I was expecting for my trip. Regardless, I came back and at the front desk they said that they have a 10 day warranty policy so they cannot refund me. In other circumstances, I'd be fine with it. But never have I had gel X nails pop off so easily. Each came off completely with half of the glue attached to it so I had some concerns that there was an issue with either the glue or the application on all of my nails. The warranty makes sense for small things or issues that could come about, but not if all of my nails are coming off within such a short amount of time. I felt that there was an issue with the foundation of the service from day one. I just felt like I wasn't getting what I paid for. If I am paying a higher price for a special service , I would expect them to at least last my five day vacation. Gel x applied right, does not come off that easily. Even though I disagree with the usuage of the warranty, I was fine going along with getting them fixed. Unfortunately, when I expressed my concerns they were not heard. I just felt like cutting my losses was best. I decided I to not come back. I felt that if what was causing the issue with my nails the first time around wasn't acknowledged or fixed- There was no point in going back and getting them redone cause it would most likely happen again. Not really sure what happened this time around but the very first time I went, it worked out great. I wouldn't necessarily discourage someone from coming here if they are interested I'm just sharing my experience so whoever is reading can make an informed decision and be aware. I had a very pleasant and amazing experience before. It was great till it wasn't. I hope that others don't experience what I did and have a better time here.

Case in point is when I made an appt and walk in only for these two young girls, whom I'm guessing are in high school, sitting down to the side of the front desk to greet me. Odd? Yes, because why aren't you actually at the front? I told them my name and the service I was here for. Out of nowhere this girl comes and asks me what I'm getting. I show her the design and she said I can go with her. We walk to her station, which reminded me of cubicles because they're all right next to each other. She starts taking off the nail polish and I noticed there's a sign on each desk asking to inquire of prices before services. I asked her how much it would be and she looked puzzled. Then she went to one of the other workers and asked him. She came back and told me $70. I was shocked! $70 for a fill-in? No ma'am! Initially I told her yes, but when I asked her to trim them down only a little (still wanted to keep the l shape but only make it a little shorter) she ended up doing way more and at that point I knew the design wouldn't look the same. I lost interest immediately and went back to browsing on my phone only to have her cut my cuticles on two different nails. It felt like they were on fire! At this point I'm livid, in pain, and couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough. When it came time to paint I told her to just give me a solid pink. She looked confused and I reiterated only a solid color. She then said ok, $45. You're joking, right? $45 dollars for a basic, and I do mean basic pink color with no lines, designs, nothing? It's egregious and down right laughable. I was so relieved when she finished and couldn't wait to get out of there. Overall, this visit reminded me of how someone goes into a barber shop and there's one barber who's dying for a client, but no one wants to sit in his chair. Perhaps it could have been different if I had another technician but the fact is, I didn't, she couldn't really communicate, I wasn't offered anything to drink and she cut my nails so short, I couldn't even do the design, and was grossly overcharged. When you sign in, the front desk operators are helpful in assisting to locate color matches for gel and regular combinations. I most often have appointments with Linh, who always sees to my every need. Linh always tests the spa waters to insure a warm and relaxing experience! The soft music and massage chairs add to the ambiance and perfect experience! Linh sees to all my nail and spa needs and is helpful with suggestions. She also has a great personality so it is fun to have my appointments with her. She is very accommodating and I'm always completely pleased. This is a terrific nail salon. It is pristine and all attention is paid to sanitary conditions. I usually come every couple of weeks to see Tina but if she is unavailable, I have also been seen by Ashley. I am certain though that any of the nail techs would do a good job. I have given up on this place. I truly got the worst mani/pedi last night. Cuticles not trimmed, shot polish job and I actually had to ask her to clean under my nails. Every time I go here it is like playing the lottery if I will walk out with my nails looking good or not. Not worth it. Great place to get acrylic nails done. Give yourself plenty of time due to the fact they're usually busy. Once you do get assigned a table, they do fast work. The inside has a nice feel to it. Looks classier than most nail salons. I haven't had anything else done besides acrylic, so can't give a rating on their other services. Would definitely recommend. read more

Since they're appointment only, I made one for 11/29 and was able to get the first slot of the day. Kathy warmly greeted me and did my pedicure first. I saw the pricing for the services and asked what the difference was between the regular and deluxe pedicure and she said it came with a wax treatment and something else. For a $5.00 difference, I decided to get it. She went through the normal steps of removing the polish and so forth. I really appreciated her checking throughout the service to ensure my needs were met both with the shape and length of the nail, as well as how it looked. At first I didn't see the value of the deluxe until she put my feet in the wax bags and had it soak for a few mins. Once removed, my feet were so Incredibly soft! I figured ok, so the pedicure was great, let's see how well she does nails and that's where she really shined. When she started my nails, I noticed she was working a bit faster than she did on my feet. At that point, I assumed she had another appt (which she did), I just wasn't sure when. I was amazed that even while working a bit faster, she still cared about the accuracy and look of my nails. I'm used to being rushed and the nails not looking to my liking, but she was the opposite. Not only did she nail the design, but everything else was perfect. Best of all, she told me the prices up front so I knew everything she was charging for and there were no surprises afterwards. Kathy was polite, thorough, and did great work. Considering I paid less here for a fill, pedicure, and tip than I did at the other place with just a full set and tip, it's a no brainer who's getting my business in the future.
