This is a lovely, warm, cozy, and intimate location to eat at. The service was just excellent. The chef talked to our group a bit, made us feel welcomed. Onto the food.. it was delicious country style food. The skillet (highly recommend) was so good but small, so if you can eat make sure to consider ordering something alongside it. Their pancakes were fluffy and so good. My only complaint is their free water station tasted a bit odd.. but I'm not too hung up about it you can get water in the back as well as other drinks too in a refrigerator. Overall they were incredibly friendly and provided delicious food, you don't have to be staying in the inn either to eat here. I got the chefs homemade donut, it was tasty but small so if you like them a lot make sure to order some more. read more

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Seven Springs. Delicious breakfast, great service. I had the saucy skillet and took half back and ate it the next day. My husband had little bite which was just enough. We always try to go at least once when we get to the mountain. read more

Came here while on vacation with my family. Although the interior is a little underwhelming at first, the food is delicious and the service was great. We came for breakfast and it's serve your own coffee/water/juice then table service for the breakfast entrees. I ordered the saucy skillet with bacon. The portion was huge and the food was delicious. Breakfast was delicious, we had a very large group of 14... So all the food didn't all come out at the same time, but when it did... It was de-lici-ous!!! We found our new breakfast place, when in town. It's a small, we called ahead. Owner is very sweet. Small bed and breakfast, along with convenience store. read more

We stayed at the inn over Memorial Day weekend on a visit to Falling Water. The inn was clean and the owner, Maryann, was very sweet. Breakfast was good both mornings. The house was very nice - I believe she said it was 70 years old. There's a deli that's attached to it on the main floor which seems to attract a number of locals. I believe there are 5 rooms at the inn - 4 upstairs and 1 downstairs. Two rooms upstairs share a bathroom. We stayed in the blue room. It was simple but accommodating. The ceiling fan wasn't working, but Maryann had a window AC unit we could use. My only complaint was the bathroom lighting - it was really dark. The room had a private bath/shower and the rate was reasonable at $109 per night, including taxes. I've stayed at fancier B&Bs, but for the price and location, it was great. read more

Found this cute place while staying at seven springs one weekend. It's only a 10 minute drive from the resort and the food was so good for the price. I got the spinach and feta omelet and my boyfriend got the saucy skillet with bacon and neither of us could finish because there was just so much! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back. read more

We found this gem while visiting friends in Rockwood, PA. Charming, warm & friendly staff. Food was so good that we returned the next morning to try some other options. Fantastic omelets, skillets with eggs, potatoes & meats but the best thing ordered was their eggs baked in cream sauce with mushrooms, spinach and Parmesan. Delicious! I can't forget to mention the piping hot "doughnuts" which are brought to each table. YUMMY! The owner/cook came out to talk to us both times we went and showed us through her lovely bed and breakfast which is attached to the restaurant. Forgot my phone so I couldn't take pictures of the food (sorry!). Will return without a doubt next time we are in the area. read more

I found the reviews of this restaurant interesting as we had a less than ideal experience at this so called friendly eatery. My family and I walked in at 1:45pm on a Sunday afternoon, closing time was 3pm according to website. There were only two other customers in the restaurant. There appeared to be 3 staff members behind the counter in the kitchen. No one acknowledged our existence. A man was counting money from a can and discussing the breakfast crowd. My husband asked if we wait to be seated or seat ourselves. He gruffly directed us to sit wherever we wanted and someone would bring over a menu. He appeared to be visibly annoyed with having to engage with us. We seated ourselves and had to be mindful of the remnants of breakfast remaining on the table. Evidently, the patrons that dined before us had a more than ample serving of syrup, as the table was still coated with it. After approximately 10 minutes of being ignored and overhearing the tribulations of the breakfast service by the staff, we decided to leave the establishment. We cannot comment on the food, but the service was extremely poor. read more

She went above and beyond to make my wedding day amazing when mother nature was against me she acted fast and opened her heart and business for our wedding. Located in Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands just a few minutes from 7 Springs Mountain resort, Trenthouse delivers a fantastic breakfast that will keep you going on the slopes long past lunch. On my last visit I barely made it in the door before being greeted by the owner and instructed to help myself to the numerous drink options. Seconds later four plump homemade donuts were delivered to my party gratis! they were delicious. Sitting to my right was a table of older gentleman talking loudly about any number of topics. The server (who I believe is also the owner) instructed us in not-so-hushed tones that this conversation has been going on for seven years--every morning. She said it as if it was an embarrassment but in truth I found it somehow endearing. I ordered an egg white feta, spinach and omelet, my son got the baked eggs and two egg sandwiches for my Dad and Daughter. Every item was cooked to perfection in an open kitchen right behind us. The baked eggs were the standout item, deftly prepared and lightly seasoned with herbs and Parmesan. The egg sandwiches were spilling over with their contents and looked fantastic, and my omelet was fantastic to the last bite. On our way out my father engaged in a little of the seven year conversation with the regulars. "We have caught more fish at this table then anywhere else in the world!" we were informed. I have no doubt that these guys will still be catching fish on my next visit. In fact I will be disappointed if they are not. read more

We stayed here for a relatives' wedding nearby. We stayed upstairs in the apartment. It was very clean and comfortable, and well worth the money. I wish we had more time to spend there. Sunday breakfast buffet was delicious, everything was perfect! Coffee was good too. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend and 2 thumbs up! The food was great. The service and atmosphere were unpleasant. The employees argued with each other loudly in the kitchen. The waitress grumbled about how she was the one who had to do everything. When it was time to pay the bill we were told they were too busy to ring us up. We waited and waited. Handed our credit card over and waited longer. We were told they would do it when they got a chance. Finally we said needed to leave and after finally paying the bill the waitress provided us with an apology for the delay citing their staff shortage and problems in the kitchen as the cause in a way that made us feel like the bad guys. read more

Was here last year and soooo looked forward to getting breakfast there again this year because it was so great. We had an awesome skillet dish for breakfast and loved it. The proprietor took us around the place to show us the cool old home and tell us her plans. But be aware they are not open every day and their days and hours are NOT posted on the door or any visible sign. We were saddened that we could not get breakfast the 2nd time. read more

I went here for a band and buffet. The food was okay, but it wasn't really a buffet. They served you already plated food and asked which soup you wanted with it. There was no bathroom access or access to the bed and breakfast building. There was one port-o-potty for everyone to use and there were at least 100 people there eating and drinking. Gross. If I'm going to pay for dinner and a band, I would at least like a real bathroom with a sink to use. I even asked if I could go in and use the restroom or at least wash my hands and was told no. read more

We stayed over July 4 weekend to visit Falling Water. The owner Maryann, was very friendly and sweet as Sheri G. says in her review. Breakfast was very good both mornings. The house is 120 years old and full of antiques. It has been updated recently and kept in tip top shape. We stayed in the gold room and had private bath, rate was very reasonable. Falling Water is truly worth seeing, the photos don't show the size or scale of the building. While in area we also visited Ohiopyle river and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort for fireworks. Had a great holiday and would visit again. On way back to NY also stopped at the Flight 93 memorial, very moving. read more
