I should have trusted the reviews and not hired Katherine. a simple case, no kids, but this attorney decided to charge me for needless conversation with the opposing party and "case discussions amongst staff". When she asked for more money beyond the retainer, I payed for half and asked her to consider the fact I wrote all proposals and counter proposals myself. She accused me of not wanting to pay and threatened to put a lien on my house and said she would no longer represent me. . I paid my entire invoice. When I reached out to the firm owner it was even worse. She said I insulted her senior attorney and refused to call me claiming no one will know what was said because it's not recorded... yet I have to pay her senior attorney to talk on the phone. My spouse and I secured Tresa several years ago with help on a custody case. Throughout the years, there were many litigation cases that involved custody, child support, and most recently a viscous DVPO allegation. In the beginning, Tresa was passionate, advocating and super helpful. As time has gone on unfortunately, we have had to part ways due to getting details on our cases incorrect, failing to file documents timely and ultimately un customer centered opinions towards my husband and I. We have paid Tresa thousands of dollars and in the end have had to do a lot of the work ourselves. It is very disappointing because she was such a strong supporter in the beginning. This law firm lies, you can be the judge. I would read all the comments! The belittling and childish comments made by this company should cause you to question their authenticity. It is ironic that this company is telling me to be an adult. Usually people who are so defensive are in the wrong. This company and their team are manipulators of a difficult personal situation. This company uses a very emotional situation to their benefit. They should be banned from practicing any sort of law. This could be the worst law firm I have ever met. They have no moral or ethical values. I would strongly suggest no one use this law firm if you care about your kids! They create unnecessary issues to line their bank account. Tresa represented me for several years in a nasty child custody battle that was an endless barrage of court motions being filed by the other party. Tresa handled my case with great professionalism and went above and beyond what I paid her to do (eg: she never nickel and dimed me and really should have been paid more for her time because she spent far more time on my case than she charged me for.). After Tresa took over my case (I had no attorney prior), it quickly began improving. She was able to get me a far more balanced and fair visitation schedule, and successfully had my case moved from Spokane County to Snohomish County where we live. I will forever be grateful to Tresa for all of the hard work and care that she put into my case. She isn't only a great attorney, but I really, really like her a lot as a person. My case is now closed as the other party willingly gave up all visitation a couple of years ago but I highly recommend Tresa to anyone who is looking for a fair, honest, hardworking attorney who will go to battle for them in the courtroom. Had an 8:30 am appointment. Took time off work, drove through rush-hour traffic just to have her pull a no-show. Her office called her and her assistant, no answer. I waited 45 minutes, no word, no call. I left and got home, finally received a call from her assistant, "she decided to go to her kids school instead". This was the reason I received.
