You can also customize you if you prefer. I got the fudge brownie bliss and they were generous with the brownies (my favorite part). Caliche's design feels retro, there is no indoor seating but the cold treat can be enjoyed in your vehicle or standing in the shade. The employees were quick and nice. I would appreciate if they could take your order and deliver your treat to and from your car.

We rolled up on a hot night and left with sticky fingers, happy hearts, and absolutely no regrets. I ordered the Mango Dango with pistachios and added green chile (yes, chile on dessert--trust me). It was the perfect combo of creamy, spicy, tangy, and sweet. That frozen custard is so silky it should come with a warning label. And the chile? Just enough heat to remind you you're in New Mexico. We also got The Gizmo, and it lived up to the name--layers of fudge, caramel, salted pecans, and whipped cream madness. So yummy! If you're passing through Las Cruces, skip the chain spots and find your way to Caliche's. Your tastebuds will thank you.

The counter staff was nice and attentive. What really made me not want to return is what we experienced after we walked out. We parked 2 blocks away and made our way to the vehicle. As we stood around talking I recognized the cook from the restaurant approaching us. Long story short he mistook our party as EP PD detectives that arrested him recently. He accused us of harassing him and he demanded that we explain why went to eat there. I explained to him that we were in fact law enforcement but not for local police and have never met him before so he was mistaken. He proceeded to tell us that he didn't give a FU@k and walked away. We were surprised he followed us 2 blocks and were worried he might have messed with our food while preparing it. I called the business number listed on Google and Yelp multiple times but no one ever answered. More mental than anything I felt uneasy and nauseous the rest of the day. For that reason we informed our partners to beware if eating at the place. For this reason we will not be returning to Burger.

It was a little early, but the doors were open and that fresh-grilled smell was too tempting to ignore. The place is adorable inside -- think Bob's Burgers meets The Simpsons with a splash of minimalist charm. Bright, cheerful, clean, and simple -- it just feels happy when you walk in. The menu's simple too -- focused on doing the basics really well. Their Basic Burger is $8.88 because the owner says 8 is a lucky number The gentleman at the counter was so kind and patient, explaining everything and offering free drink refills. The combo -- burger, fries, and drink -- was about $14, and the portions were generous, especially the fries (I asked for extra crispy and they nailed it ). Everything here is made fresh in-house: * All-natural buns -- soft, buttery, and they don't fall apart * No frozen meat -- all fresh and cooked to order * Hand-sliced pickles with the perfect crunch * Fresh, all-natural lemonade with a tangy bite The burgers are square (yep, square!) with the corners cut off so every bite hits just right -- no more mouthfuls of only bread. And the toppings are very El Paso: jalapeños, pickled jalapeños, and you can even order chiles toreados as an add-on It's a smashburger-style setup, so you can single, double, or even quad-stack it if you're feeling brave. Overall, Burger keeps it simple -- fresh food, clean space, and good vibes. Nothing fancy, just really good food made right. My Take: Cute spot, friendly staff, generous portions, and everything's fresh -- no shortcuts. A new downtown gem that actually lives up to its name.
