Hell to the yes to the yes, yes, yes! I walked into Social Ice feeling like I was visiting an old friend that I used to raid their fridge when I went over. It's wonderful! The initial shock of the simplicity of Social Ice wore off once I saw their wall to wall menu. And they also have some secret items like the Strawberry Special which you 100% should order if you like A. Strawberries; B. Ice Cream; C. Sorbet; D. Fresas con Crema or; D. all of the above. There is no real seating outside of the two lone benches. They have the room so I hope they'll add some small tables and chairs in the future. I ordered the Strawberry Special and fried Oreos. So the Strawberry Special comes with strawberries, crema, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry sorbet. So good and an amazing combo with the fried Oreos! The fried Oreos were done to perfection, not too much batter and the melty goodness that is usually only attained when dunked in milk for 10 seconds. I wish there was a Social Ice on the Westside, but I don't mind making this a pit stop any time I'm on the Eastside. My husband seemed to like his Tiger's Blood shaved ice and his funnel cake so I know it won't be a hard sell for him.

If you are looking for a great dessert place look no further. With their plentiful options and a delicious menu Social Ice has it all. From fried Oreos to shaved ice, it never disappoints, be open to different options as they are all great options depending on your craving. I've been here plenty of times and will be back.

Oh my funnel cake. Such a glorious treat! Eat like a fat little kid at the rodeo with fresh, ooey gooey fried and/or yummy frozen treats. Prices are extremely reasonable and the funnel cakes were the size of my head! I also loved the natural ices because they weren't sickeningly sweet. Instead, they taste rich and light with the fruit's natural sugars. They have some unique ice flavors like cucumber, and you can make tons of different creations out of their endless menu options. If you like a classic fresh fruit cup, you can get that too! The fried oreos were fast, fluffy and hot. Any of the funnel cakes could easily feed a group of 3. Overall, I think the menu has something for everyone. Please bring one to the West side so I don't have to drive so far to get here!

Yes, yes, yes!!!!! Oh baby what a find and what a shock to my taste buds! How I had never heard of this place is beyond me. Listen to this: fried Oreos, twinkies, gansitos, ice cream, specialty funnel cakes, snow cones of all kinds, and many many more! The down side no seating what so ever, not exactly convenient. Although it wasn't too bad sitting outside on the curb, it wasn't my finest moment I'd say. Thank God it was night time and not hot out, because it was either that or letting 3 munchkins in my car with their snow cones, nope not a fat chance in hell I'd allow that... The staff was nice and knowledgeable and knew the menu fairly well. So now for the dessert.... I ordered the mother of funnel cakes! On the bottom a funnel cake perfectly crispy with powdered sugar, then a layer of whip cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped of with fried Oreos, chocolate syrup, and more freaking Oreos. I have never been so excited in my life. My kids literally took one look and forgot about their snow cones, lol. Which I was kind of glad because I would of felt like a real pig downing all that by myself. The fried Oreos were a big hit, my kids described them as Oreo donuts. Their snow cones weren't too shabby either. My son he had the Ninja Turtle Michael Angelo and the girls the pink panther of course, my husband had the Piña Colada. My husbands was really good, it had pineapple and natural coconut ice cream, which was water based so it was very refreshing. I really enjoyed this place, but hopefully they will have somewhere to sit next time. If you're looking for something sweet and unique swing by this place, you will not regret it. Hell bring your lawn chairs...

Not just an ice cream place. They have really good funnel cakes, flavored ice, and fried junk food like oreos and pb&j sandwich. Everything they post on their Instagram looks so good! I'm a big fan of their funnel cakes (they're big enough for 2 ppl) now that the weather is chilly, but during the summer I enjoy flavored ice. The pepino was chamoy is so good and refreshing. The venue itself is small. They accept cash and credit. They don't provide complimentary water from what I saw. Maybe if you asked for a cup, but they don't keep any out front. There are no bathrooms and only a few places to sit. From what I've seen, most people order and take it to go. Would be nice to have a few tables and chairs outside. My only complaint is that it smelled faintly like a nail salon the last time I went. Not sure why though. Every other time I've been there, it's smelled fine.

    A small shaved ice.

The other reviews inspired us to give Social Ice a try and we are sure glad we did. We ordered a Strawberry Lovers Funnel Cake to share. It was amazing. The funnel cake was nice and crispy and the toppings were great. The owner stated he buys the fruit fresh that day and it was obvious he did. My daughter and I split it and it was plenty for the two of us. My littlest got a small snow cone. She ended up sidelining it to get in on the funnel cake because, yes, it was that good. The menu is huge and diverse and if you love fried foods, this is your spot. Even though it's a dessert place they also had a small menu of snack foods- including fried pickles. It's pretty much like my dream place. Fried and fattening and sweet and amazing. Unfortunately, there won't be any seating in the place as they are not allowed to have any. Total bummer but not the fault of Social Ice.

    Yum! Strawberry fried ice cream!

Social Ice is a good place to go if you're craving a snow cone, ice cream or sweet snack (think carnival food like fried Oreos and funnel cakes). They have a wide selection, a menu from front to back! It took me a few minutes to decide what to order. I finally went with the fried strawberry ice cream. It was delicious and huge! It had a great taste! It was sweet enough. There was lots of strawberries and syrup. I couldn't even finish the whole thing so I saved it for another day. My son got a coconut and cherry snow cone and he really liked it. The portion was also huge! The customer service was good. I had to wait around 15 minutes for my ice cream. We got there early, just a few minutes after they opened so it didn't bother me. I had to wait for them to start the fryer for the fried ice cream. I enjoy following them on Instagram. I have been craving their Almond Joy snow cone for the last few days. Just like an Almond Joy candy bar, it has coconut and chocolate. I saw it on their IG and I'm now intrigued by it. I also wouldn't mind trying one of their funnel cakes. My son also wants to go back. I highly recommend Social Ice. Since the quantities are pretty large, the prices are pretty reasonable. I spent $10 for mine and my son's snacks. I also left a couple of dollars for a tip. This place does not disappoint. There is something for everyone here.

Came here since I had a major craving for the funnel cakes. I was disappointed because it was super oily. Obviously, it's deep fried, but every time I took a bite I could taste oil. Oil was just seeping out of every bite - I was pretty much drinking it. The store was fairly clean. They had a lot of choices you could choose from. I'd be back for a different flavor ice shaving but not their cakes.

    Lauren W.

Great concept. I felt like I booked a seat on the Diabetes Train. I love how extensive the menu was. The employees were very patient with my questions and offered samples. After much deliberation, I decided on a mini size of the banana split funnel cake (tasty). My husband ordered a Pineapple Express natural ice. The place is small with limited seating so expect to take it to go. And there's no public bathroom. The music playing while I was in there was awesome. My only complaint is that I didn't have any water to wash it all down.

    Rockie road fried ice cream.

Today, my brother and I decided to try this place for the first time and I am glad we did. Great customer service, fantastic desserts. I ordered the rocky road fried ice cream and my brother got the fried oreos with ice cream. Both were fantastic, we will definitely be back. Please guys support this business, they deserve it.

Having a bad day? Heck having a great day go celebrate at Social Ice with one of their signature funnel cakes or natural ice flavors. Small place but great atmosphere. Only thing missing is more seats inside and out. We were lucky to interact with the owner who is super helpful with the vast array of choices.

Good prices. I had the strawberry lovers funnel cake without the strawberry drizzle and it was really delicious can't wait to try their other stuff

SWEET HEAVEN!!!!! I have found "THE SPOT".... my spot in El Paso!!!! They have a great variety of yumminess! My husband and I were on this side of town with our puppy and I was strolling through yelp and found this place I was planning to grab and go because hardly anyone allows our baby in but as I was ordering the gentleman saw my husband with Sophie outside and said "dogs are welcome inside, let me get you a puppuccino" i was speechless and super happy that I could enjoy my treats with my little family without worrying about the hassle of eating in the car or take it home. They have all the right things I loveddd it!!

*Drinking game: Drink every time you read the words "fish and chips"…read more If you know nothing else about me, you should know this...I am 80% comprised of fish and chips. Fish and chips may be my fave thing to eat in the whole entire world and that's not an exaggeration...you can take that to the bank. Seriously, if a place serves up fish and chips, I'm ordering it. Doesn't matter if they're ridiculously fancy and fish and chips is only on their menu as a joke, I'm ordering it and I won't leave until they deliver (not that I've ever seen a place have joke items on a menu...I'm just saying if someone wanted to mess with my emotions that's the way to do it and that's how serious I take my fish and chips). The only thing I've ever had at The Reef Mobile Kitchen is the fish and chips. There's a chance this isn't always on the menu and if it's not, I'm not going. Although I highly doubt fish and chips aren't always on the menu. If you want to know where they're at check out their Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/reeftruck), but it's almost always a safe bet that they'll be at Foodville. So since it's the only thing I can speak on. Scratch that. Write on. Let's delve into the fish and chips. Plump pieces of white fish, I'm guessing cod (much like my beer identifying abilities, my fish identifying abilities are almost nonexistent). Crisp, batter on the outside served along side large fries, a couple of lemon wedges, and tarter sauce. It's all really good and done in-house! You will not regret this. And the truck is easy to spot. Big blue. That's all you need to know. Check it out and definitely check out Isaac M's review for a deets on the Mojo Quesadilla that sounds ridiculously amazing. May have to order that along side some fish and chips next time. And another plus is since it's a food truck you know you're getting a meal under $10.

Here you will encounter all kinds of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. From white people, to doctors, lawyers, families, young, old.... It's very diverse. And nice to see how our love for these tacos connects us. But anyway, it gets pretty crowded during the evenings which is hard for you to place an order especially if you're ordering one by one. People are shoving and pushing, and hurrying you up to get your salsa or whatever it is that you're using so they can use it next. Not everyone is that rude, but I have come across some people who can't wait for their turn. Which is why I usually place a full order, get my salsa, and my other needs and walk to free space (sometimes to my car) and peacefully enjoy my meal. Most of the time a group of mariachis or musicians will start playing as you eat or interact with those around you. As far as the tacos go, it's only "tripas". There are 3 cooks, very nice people, one makes them crunchy, the other soft, and the other campechana which is mixed. Napkins are handy, as well as salsa, lemons, salt, pepper, etc. They have a bench or two so you can sit. During winter they have heaters. And they also have a sink to wash your hands and a restroom. Never used the restroom so I wouldn't be able to tell if it's kept clean. Parking is hard to find, it fills up very fast. But as soon as someone leaves I usually run for it before someone arrives but that's just me. Other than that I still love this place. Love to meet new people and listen to good music. As korean, i would say the tacos were a good fair attempt. Its hard to find a good korean place in EP even owned by Koreans so i was pleased. My fav was the chicken. Sweet and spicy. Overall, a little salty for my taste but i guess i am salt-sensitive. 4 tacos, salad, and a bottle of water for 8 bucks. Not bad. Hipster-isque atmosphere which keeps me feeling young :) I would say its worth the trip, at least for the first time but nothing to go gaga about.

They're homemade so the quality really does shine through. I'm not even entirely sure how to describe the flavor other than to say it has a rich, buttery (most likely from frying) and a well seasoned taste. It's very wholesome and would definitely pair well with a beer. The brats may be a tad smaller that what you're used to out of packaging, but they are plump so I found them filling. And the kraut (homemade with purple cabbage...seriously took the presentation to the next level) and grilled onions were perfect toppings. The currywurst I tried was slightly higher in price, but came with a pretzel and salad. The currywurst was lightly drizzled in what appeared to also be a homemade curry ketchup...major points for not taking the easy route. The curry ketchup had a slight kick and a subtle sweetness. Yaaaaasssss! I wasn't crazy about the pretzel since it was on the thinner side it's hard to have a soft inside...it wasn't hard, just very dense. I think the pretzels could stay the same thickness if they were brushed with butter and salted a touch more. But overall I liked the currywurst dish. The cart itself is pretty cool looking and appears to be ran by a duo. Lights illuminate the side which is a nice touch. And the smells coming from the grill are absolutely positively heavenly. If you run into this cart, grab a brat!
