If you chose false, Portraits of Hawaii might be for you. My daughter's school procured Portraits of Hawaii for their students' school portraits, and I know they are now regretting it. To be fair, I'm used to a quicker school picture process as I have more than one child in school and most schools utilize a nation-wide photographer that handles their photography process like a well-oiled machine. However, 3 months to even receive proofs of your child's photo is unaccecptable. The school followed up with them several times, and I also followed up via email. No answer when I called them. To this day, parents have not received any proofs or prints for their child's school photo. The school ended up moving on a using another photography company and we were completely satisfied with them.

They gave some of the people at my son's school their pictures but not everyone. So frustrating and very messed up. When trying to get in touch with them, it will say the number is out of service. They do not respond to emails. Horrible customer service and even worst business practice. They are the worst and I suggest staying far away from giving them any business. Unless if you like giving your hard earned money and getting nothing back.

TL;DR: Working with Keri and getting professional photography for your dogs is an underutilized…read moreresource in life that (IMO) every dog parent should experience! When I worked in a doggie day care I saw Keri take all kinds of photos to be used for the daycare website. She was able to work with a plethora of dogs in one room and the final images turned out great! I didn't get to know/work with her personally but I was really impressed seeing the photos on the website; they really captured each dogs personality. Now that I have a dog, when I saw Keri's booth at the pet expo I knew there was no one else who could take the perfect photos of our family. As I write this, I just came home from our viewing session where we got to see the final photos and put in our order. THEY ARE AMAZING! They're even better than I could have dreamed! Our dog, Komori, is a very serious pup most of the time. He loves dogs more than people so trying to get him to smile during our session is like any parent trying to get their kid to smile. I was so shocked to see that Keri got a bunch of adorable photos of him smiling! I think it was the duck callers/noise makers. When Keri pulled those out Komori couldn't stand a chance. Along with being well prepared, she was great at communicating. I knew when/where we were gonna meet, where to park, how the session is gonna go, what kind of framing she's going for, etc. And she knows how to work with any kind of situation. Komori's not a fan of surprises so when a wave crashed that scared him he did not want to sit on the wall anymore. Luckily, Keri already thought of a way to get sunset photos without being near the waves. I also love how in the pre-photoshoot questionnaire she asks "what motivates your dog?" When I read that question it was clear that she understands and treats every dog she meets as the unique pup they are and that she's done this many times. Seriously, you will not be disappointed you made the decision to do a photoshoot for your dog.

Though we are…read morenow in a world of advanced technology filled with many options to capture memories, whether it may be our smart phones, DSLR cameras, or GoPros, there are a select few who are talented in using that technology to make those memories look amazing. And then there are super amazingly talented people like Keri who can take photos of furry family members and showcase their beautiful individual personalities. My fur kid was super fortunate enough to work with Keri a few times. She does such an amazing job when it comes to capturing his smile, personality, and quirkiness. From the beginning and through the end of the photoshoot process, she always keeps an open communication with her fur-clients' managers. I always appreciated her consistency of communicating from providing tips on what to bring to the photoshoot to help her get the best shots, to location, to the day prior of the photoshoot, and to the post-photoshoot where you view her amazing work. Her work speaks for itself. She has the skill to take photos of your furry family members even if they may be camera shy or are hyperactive. She has a way to work with what she got and get that perfect shot. She's super experienced working with all types of furry kid personalities. Not only has she worked with my fur kid, but also worked with his other furry friends who all had amazing photos. I highly recommend her as your next pet photographer! You won't regret it!

I've only had two interactions, one photoshoot, with her and I am so jealous of the next state that she gets to call home. Hawaii is going to be missing a wonderful family and absolutely extraordinary pet photographer. So you may know her for her beach and outdoor photos, but when I scheduled our session I asked for something very opposite. My husband is not much a photo taker since his whole life was recorded on camera and I really wanted to document nice family photos of our staycation. Also Komori (the real important one) is not an beach or outdoorsy pup unless he's at a dog park so I asked Ashley how she felt about shooting at a hotel we were staying at. I was so glad she was up and ready for the different environment. She's fun and professional and knows her way around bonding with pups that allows her to get the shot that everyone wants. Big eyes, silly tongue, double cheek kisses, everything you could ask for and more. I am truly grateful for her the and in awe at the effort that she puts into capturing every families important memories. The investment is so worth it over and over again.
