There happened to be a blackout in the area, but the owner handled it really well and gave everyone several options: take the prerelease kits without playing, get a refund, come back the following week, or play with the lights off. We ended up playing in the dark, and honestly, it was still a really fun and memorable experience. The store is located in a plaza in Montclair with plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Walking in, it feels more like a boutique than a typical card shop. The floors were spotless, the walls looked freshly painted, and the lighting (when on!) was bright and inviting. It didn't have that cluttered, messy feel you sometimes see in game stores--no piles of empty boxes or disorganization. Everything felt clean, intentional, and premium. Even the restroom was very well maintained. It's clear the owner put a lot of effort into the layout and overall atmosphere. There's a front area with great natural light and a larger back area with plenty of tables for events. The event itself was run very professionally. They had no trouble reaching quorum thanks to an easy RSVP and online payment system. That system also made it simple to distribute store credit directly to your account, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. Start times and deck-building times were strictly enforced, which I appreciated. Everyone was on equal footing--no early access or advantages for regulars like I've seen at other shops. They used the official Magic Companion app to keep everything organized, and the owner actively checked in on players to make sure things were running smoothly. Prize support was solid, though slightly different from what I'm used to. The winner received a booster box, and everyone else earned $5 in store credit per match win. Personally, I'm more accustomed to booster packs for 2nd or 3rd place, but getting $15 in store credit for going 3-1 in a $30 event is still a pretty good value. Overall, this was a very well-run event and a great experience. Compared to other stores I've been to, the cleanliness, organization, and professionalism here really stand out. I'd definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to play Magic events in a well-maintained, thoughtfully run environment.

This is just my personal experience so I just try to avoid him. They run tournaments consistently , have a great selection of singles , and have a lot of desired products.
